Svědek zašlých časů: Starý židovský hřbitov v Libni

2019 - Czech Starý židovský hřbitov v Libni byl založen v 16. století, první zdokumentované náhrobky pocházejí až ze 17. století. Z hygienických důvodů byl hřbitov uzavřen v roce 1892, kdy se začalo pohřbívat na novém židovském hřbitově v Davídkově ulici. Z průzkumu provedeného v roce 1940, který zaznamenal 626 existujících náhrobků, plyne, že se zde ve výjimečných případech pohřbívalo ještě v roce 1895. \nZmíněný výzkum i bohatá fotografická dokumentace zachytily tradiční ikonografickou výzdobu náhrobků. Vedle geometrických a florálních ornamentů se zde objevoval známý motiv lvů, kohenských rukou i levitské nádoby. \nStarý židovský hřbitov v Libni byl několikrát zmenšen: poprvé před rokem 1875, kdy byla na jeho jižním cípu postavena budova železničního nádraží Dolní Libeň, podruhé během výstavby Libeňského mostu v roce 1929. V rámci akce Za Prahu krásnější byl pak hřbitov v roce 1965 zasypán kamením a zavezen zeminou. \n The Old Jewish Cemetery in Libeň was founded in the 16th century, the first documented tombstones came from the 17th century. The cemetery was closed in 1892 for hygienic reasons, when burials began to take place at the New Jewish Cemetery in Davídková Street. From the research conducted in 1940, which recorded 626 existing tombstones, it arises that in exceptional cases burials were held here still in 1895. The cemetery was reduced in size several times: first before 1875, when the building of the railway station Lower Libeň was built on its southern tip, second during the construction of the Libeň bridgehead in 1929. According to the documentation preserved to this day, there were very valuable Renaissance, Baroque and Classicist tombstones clearly influenced by the urban sepulchral tradition at the cemetery. It was definitely not a rural type of burial ground, as was stated in the report from 1964. In terms of the iconography of the tombstones, traditional Jewish symbols appeared at the cemetery, such as Kohen’s hands and the Levite pitcher, the shofar, crown or in the most recent period a Star of David. Motifs of animals referring to the Hebrew names of the deceased were also common. Within the event For a More Beautiful Prague, the cemetery was covered with stones and buried in the soil in 1965. Tvorba Antonína Suchardy mladšího pro kostelní interiéry severovýchodních Čech

2019 - Czech Dílna Antonína Suchardy mladšího (1843–1911) vytvořila velké množství kostelního vybavení zejména pro východočeské katolické farnosti, v mnoha případech také restaurovala starší kostelní mobiliář. Na podobu uměleckých děl měl rostoucí vliv Antonínův nejstarší syn Stanislav Sucharda, který pro rodinnou dílnu od dětství pracoval. Organizace a umělecký repertoár novopacké dílny byly rekonstruovány na základě archivních pramenů a komparace se signovanými díly a s návrhovými kresbami ze suchardovské pozůstalosti. The artistic workshop of Antonín Sucharda Jr. (1843–1911) produced furniture and artworks for numerous church interiors of catholic parishes in Eastern Bohemia, and in many cases also restored older church equipment. The design of these artworks was increasingly influenced by Antonín‘s oldest son Stanislav Sucharda, who had been involved in the family workshop since childhood. The organization and artistic repertoire of this workshop were reconstructed, based on archive records and comparison with signed artworks and design drawings from the family heritage. 2018 - Czech Ústřední téma příspěvku představuje jedna ze tří mikrodaguerrotypií, které se dochovaly ve středoevropských sbírkách, a sice té, jež se dnes nachází v NTM v Praze a jejíž autorství je tradičně přisuzováno rektoru litomyšlského gymnázia Floru Ignáci Staškovi. Pozornost zde je věnována jak technickým podmínkám možného vzniku tohoto snímku, tak otázce autorství, přičemž je poukázáno na nepřehlédnutelnou roli jednoho z průkopníků fotografie a moderní mikroskopie v Rakousku Carla Schuha. The central focus of the paper is one of three daguerreotype photomicrographs that have been preserved in Central European collections. Namely the one that is to be found today in the National Technical Museum in Prague, which has traditionally been attributed to the rector of the grammar school in Litomyšl (East Bohemia), Florus Ignatz Stašek. Attention is payed both to the technical conditions under which this image may have been created and the question of who was responsible for it, with reference to the role (which cannot be overlooked) played by one of the pioneers of photography and modern microscopy in Austria, Carl Schuh. 2018 - Czech Text vychází ze známé skutečnosti, že v 18. století došlo k prolnutí zahradní a architektonické teorie a klade si otázku jak se teorie architektury a teorie zahrad propojily. Podle autorky ke sbližování obou teorií přispěla dobová snaha vytvořit univerzální teorii všech umění, tak jak ji prosazoval J. W. Goethe. The text is based on the well-known fact that in the 18th century a merging of garden theory and architectural theory occurred, and raises the question of how the theory of architecture and the theory of gardens came to be linked. In the author’s view, the two theories were brought closer by the attempt at that time to create a universal theory of all art forms as advocated by Johann Wolfgang Goethe.
