Quantitative Approaches to Versification

2019 - English This volume presents a wide range of quantitative approaches to versification. It comprises various methodological perspectives ranging from simple descriptive statistics to advanced machine learning methods (such as support vector machines, random forests or neural networks) as well as material covering a large span of time and languages: from very ancient versifications (Sumerian, Akkadian, Hittie, Ancient Greek), through medieval (Old English, Old Icelandic, Old Saxon) and Renaissance verse to modern experiments (free verse, concrete poetry), from English and Russian through Spanish and German to Portuguese and Catalan. Not only written, but also spoken poetry has been analyzed. The book covers multiple topics. What they all share in common is that versification is being studied in the context of other linguistic phenomena that may affect or determine it. Analyses of large corpora go hand in hand with comparative approaches. It is shown that quantitative approaches can be used for the purpose of authorship attribution, to build reasonable typologies as well as to understand why certain forms play such a dominant roles in our cultural tradition(s). 2019 - Czech 51. konference Archaeologia Historica byla věnována stému výročí založení Státního archeologického ústavu v Praze. Byla rozdělena na témata, která se věnovala historii archeologických institucí, metodologickému vývoji oboru, dlouhodobě zkoumaným lokalitám a významným osobnostem oboru. Ve vedlejší sekci zazněly příspěvky, které se věnovaly aktuálním výzkumům. The 51st conference Archaeologia Historica was dedicated to the centenary of the founding of the State Archaeological Institute in Prague. It was divided into topics that were devoted to the history of archaeological institutions, methodological development of medieval archaeology, long-term researched localities and important personalities of the field. 2019 - English Radek Mikuláš convened the 15th International Ichnofabric Workshop to Prague (April 27th – May 5th, 2019). Thirty-two specialists from over the world presented recent contributions from the mainstream branch of ichnology, e.g., ichnofabrics of terrestrial systems. Special discussion block was devoted to the use of computed tomography in the study of Ichnofabric. Three days (five days for participants of the post-workshop excursion) for the workshop were devoted to field excursions. Thereby, most of the localities known only through publications have been seen and evaluated directly to the world top ichnologists. Aktuální informace o změnách legislativy (české, slovenské, EU) v oblasti životního prostředí

2019 - Czech V období září 2018 – červenec 2019 došlo v legislativě České republiky a Slovenska k několika změnám, které mohou mít dopad na provozovatele žárových zinkoven. Jedná se jak o hlavní oblasti životního prostředí (ovzduší, voda, odpady), tak o další relevantní právní předpisy. Na úrovni Evropské unie naopak nedošlo k žádným zásadním změnám, které by měly dopad na provozovatele žárových zinkoven. In the period September 2018 – July 2019, several amendments were made to the legislation of the Czech Republic and Slovakia that may have an impact on operators of hot dip galvanising installations. They are both legal amendments concerning major areas of the environment (air, water, waste) and other relevant legal regulations. On the the other hand, there were no major changes at the level of the European Union that would have an impact on operators of hot dip galvanising installations. Distribuce identifikovaných indicií kontaminovaných míst na území ČR

2019 - Czech Součástí projektu 2. etapa Národní inventarizace kontaminovaných míst (NIKM 2) je příprava geografických podkladů. Úvodním a hlavním úkolem této části projektu je pořízení nálezové báze indicií pomocí metod dálkového průzkumu Země (DPZ). Za prvních 16 měsíců projektu NIKM 2 byla interpretací fotomap a dalších geografických podkladů vytvořena tematická vrstva 14 různých typů indicií kontaminovaných míst (KM), resp. potenciálně kontaminovaných míst (PKM). Práce 12 interpretátorů z CENIA se prováděly v prostředí geografického informačního systému QGIS. Interpretací dat DPZ bylo v první fázi interpretace detekováno 34.666 jednotlivých indicií. Primární nálezová báze byla dále podrobena následné revizi s cílem objektivizovat a standardizovat její obsah. Počet platných indicií byl tak snížen cca na polovinu. Tematické třídění indicií umožnilo návazné statistické vyhodnocení, které slouží jako podklad pro optimalizaci terénního šetření, tj. pro plánování postupu plošné inventarizace s ohledem na charakter území. Z vyhodnocení shromážděných dat lze také uvažovat o účinnosti regulací a opatření místních úřadů a o vazbě na socio-ekonomické, resp. demografické ukazatele apod. Grafické a tabulkové výstupy (viz též plakátové sdělení a jeho anotace ve sborníku konference) dokládají prostorové vazby zjištěných indicií kontaminovaných míst a jsou podkladem pro další fáze poskytování geografické podpory pro inventarizační práce projektu NIKM 2 v letech 2019-2021. The project of Phase 2 of the National Inventory of Contaminated Sites (NIKM 2) includes the preparation of geographical data. The initial and main task of this part of the project is to acquire the finding database using remote sensing methods. During the first 16 months of the NIKM 2 project, a thematic layer of 14 different types of contaminated site (CS) clues (indicia), respectively of potentially contaminated sites (PCS) clues, was created by interpreting photomaps and other geographical data. The works of 12 CENIA interpreters were carried out in the environment of the geographic information system QGIS. Interpretation of remote sensing data revealed 34,666 clues in the first phase of interpretation. The primary finding database was further revised in order to objectify and standardize its content. The number of valid clues was thus reduced by about half. Thematic classification of the indices enabled a subsequent statistical evaluation, which serves as a basis for the optimization of the field survey, i.e. for the planning of the area inventory taking into account the character of the territory. From the evaluation of the collected data we can also consider the effectiveness of regulations and measures of local authorities and the link to the socio-economic, resp. demographic indicators, etc. The graphical and tabular outputs document the spatial links of the identified contaminated site indications and are the basis for the next phases of providing geographical support for the inventory work of the NIKM 2 project in 2019-2021.Uh Keywords: indicie kontaminace; kontaminovaná místa; rastrová data; indices of contamination; contaminated sites; raster data Available in a digital repository NRGL Distribuce identifikovaných indicií kontaminovaných míst na území ČR
