Endangered butterflies of lowland forests under climate change

The material compiles conservation measures and methods for the care of endangered butterflies of open forests, protected by the EU Habitat Directive in the Czech Republic and under climate changes. These species are Euphydryas maturna, Lopinga achine, Parnassius mnemosyne, Coenonympha hero, and partially also Zerynthia polyxena. It results from predictions of vegetational and climatic changes of forest habitats, and outlooks of forest and water management conditions. Metodika, shrnující zásady péče o populace hnědáska osikového (Euphydryas maturna), okáče jílkového (Lopinga achine), jasoně dymnivkového (Parnassius mnemosyne), okáče hnědého (Coenonympha hero) a částečně pestrokřídlece podražcového (Zerynthia polyxena), druhů světlých lesů chráněných Směrnicí o stanovištích EU, v podmínkách měnícího se klimatu. Vychází z predikcí vegetačních a mezoklimatických změn lesních biotopů, výhledů lesního hospodářství v ČR a vodohospodářských poměrů.

Long-term and seasonal changes in dissolved organic carbon (DOC) concentration and their causes in the years 1969–2021 were evaluated for the main tributary to the Římov water supply reservoir. Pro hlavní přítok do vodárenské nádrže Římov byly vyhodnoceny dlouhodobé a sezónní změny koncentrace rozpuštěného organického uhlíku (DOC) a jejich příčiny v letech 1969–2021.

Fish stock survey of Lake Piburg in 2023

The report was prepared based on the results of complex survey of the fish stock of Lake Piburg in 2023. The aim of the ichthyological survey was to map the state of the fish populations in Lake Piburg, especially with an emphasis on estimating the abundance and biomass of individual fish species and recommending further management of the fish stock. A summary of the achieved results and a proposal for improvement of water quality via management of fish populations are included in the report. Zpráva byla zpracována na základě výsledků komplexního průzkumu rybí obsádky jezera Piburg v roce 2023. Cílem ichtyologického průzkumu bylo zmapovat stav rybích populací v jezeře Piburg, zejména s důrazem na odhad početnosti a biomasy jednotlivých druhů ryb a doporučení dalšího hospodaření s rybí obsádkou. Součástí zprávy je shrnutí dosažených výsledků a návrh na zlepšení kvality vody managementem rybích populací.

Currently, in the nursery production of plant material, emphasis is placed on the propagation of healthy material. For this reason, it is necessary to pay attention to the topic of healthy virus-free nuclear stock when preserving collections of genetic resources of vegetatively propagated plants. Some raspberry viruses are difficult to remove from the plant host by existing methods of thermotherapy or chemotherapy. That is why, using the example of black raspberry necrosis virus (BRNV), a comprehensive methodology for testing health status and cryotherapy in raspberry was developed. The resulting methodical procedure makes it possible to eradicate BRNV from raspberry using cryotherapy of in vitro cultures. The user of the methodology is the Ministry of Agriculture, which applies it as part of the 'National Program for the Conservation and Use of Genetic Resources of Plants, Animals and Microorganisms Important for Nutrition and Agriculture'. V současné době je ve školkařské produkci rostlinného materiálu kladen důraz na množení zdravého materiálu. Z tohoto důvodu je nutné věnovat tématu zdravé bezvirózní sadby pozornost při uchování kolekcí genových zdrojů vegetativně množených rostlin. Některé viry maliníku je obtížné stávajícími metodami termoterapie či chemoterapie odstranit z rostlinného hostitele. Proto byla, na příkladu viru černé nekrózy maliníku (black raspberry necrosis virus, BRNV), vyvinuta komplexní metodika testování zdravotního stavu a kryoterapie u maliníku. Výsledný metodický postup umožňuje ozdravit maliník od BRNV pomocí kryoterapie in vitro kultur. Uživatelem metodiky je MZe, které ji uplatní v rámci 'Národního programu konzervace a využívání genetických zdrojů rostlin, zvířat a mikroorganismů významných pro výživu a zemědělství'.\n

Modelová analýza vlivu vypouštěcího režimu a změny klimatu na nádrži Římov, Česká republika, ukázala optimální způsob řízení nádrže z hlediska kvality vody.
