Czech Digital Library - a central solution for Czech libraries

2021 - Czech The year 2021 has not only accelerated the development of some central tools of Czech librarianship, but has also triggered the need for more conceptual solutions that will ensure the operation of new services and simplify their functioning and access to them. Martin Lhotak's conference paper focused on the form and steps to be taken in providing central access to digital libraries operated in the Czech Republic to serve the public, what strategic considerations are behind its further development and how libraries should be involved in its operation. Rok 2021 nejenom urychlil vývoj některých centrálních nástrojů českého knihovnictví, ale rovněž vyvolal potřebu koncepčnějších řešení, která zajistí provoz nových služeb a zjednoduší jejich fungování i přístup k nim. Výsledkem je i debata nad podobou centrálního přístupu k digitálním knihovnám provozovaným jednotlivými knihovnami v České republice. Konferenční příspěvek Martina Lhotáka se zaměřil na to, v jaké podobě a v jakých postupných krocích by mohl veřejnosti sloužit tento nástroj, jaké strategické úvahy stojí za jeho dalším vývojem a jak by se měly knihovny zapojit do jeho provozu. Bibliological Bibliography and the Study of Regional Book Culture

2020 - Czech The paper draws attention to the Bibliological Bibliography, automated database of literature on the history of book culture in the Czech Lands to around 1850. Bibliological Bibliography is one of important sources related to the Czech book culture in general and also to particular places (regions, areas, towns). Bibliological Biblography has recently been integrated as a supplementary database into the www.knihoveda.cz portal which contains primary data together with new tools for research into the Czech book culture. Příspěvek představuje knihovědnou bibliografii, oborovou databázi odborné literatury k dějinám knižní kultury v Českých zemích do poloviny 19. století. Knihovědná bibliografie je jedním z důležitých podpůrných informačních zdrojů, které se vztahují nejen k bohemikální knižní kultuře jako celku, ale i k jednotlivým regionům nebo lokalitám. Jako pomocná databáze je Knihovědná bibliografie integrována do portálu Knihoveda.cz, který obsahuje primární data i nové výzkumné nástroje k výzkumu české knižní kultury do roku 1800. 2019 - Czech Open Science (neboli Otevřená věda) je termín, který se v posledních letech dostává v akademickém prostředí výrazně do popředí a zaujímá důležité místo. Touto problematikou se zabývá čím dál více entit. Hlavním propagátorem je Evropská komise a je zřejmé, že dříve či později se dotkne mnoha vědeckých pracovníků, zejména těch, kteří pro svou práci čerpají evropskou finanční podporu. Open Science lze definovat jako vědecký proces, v němž mohou všichni spolupracovat a přispívat do něj. The National Library of Spain keeps two versions of anonymous handwritten reports, which describe in detail clothing of main participants.\n Španělští vyslanci referovali o svatbě do Madridu ve svých dopisech, zmiňovaných historiky, ale přesto zůstala tato událost na pokraji zájmu nebo zcela opomenuta ve studiích o Filipovi II. a Maxmililánovi II. Data deposit into the ASEP repository

2017 - English The ASEP repository has provided bibliographic records deposit for the results of scientific research at the Czech Academy of Sciences since 1993. In 2012, the database was expanded to include a repository in which full text documents are stored. Since 2017, ASEP also supports data records and data file storage. The bibliographic records of the results can be linked to metadata records so that the user gets not only the full text of a result, but also the data on which the result is based. Each dataset has its own description and metadata follows international standards. In the paper, we will introduce the repository workflow, describe dataset deposit and international standards used as well as different types of user interfaces. 2017 - Czech The CAS Digital Library has been compiled since 2003. During that time it has come to include 180 titles of periodicals and over 2,700 monographs primarily from CAS institute output. Since 2016 the Digital Library has also included the full texts of original digital (‘’born digital’’) documents, and now contains over 8,300 documents of this kind. Kramerius software is used to make the Digital Library available to users. The Digital Library is accessible at http://kramerius.lib.cas.cz/client. Metadata entries for the Digital Library are created in the ALEPH system and in the ProArc metadata editor. Entry compilation has been under way in ALEPH since 2013, with 24,000 entries compiled in it to date. Entries are compiled retrospectively to 1999. Compilation in ProArc began in 2016, and the retrospection currently extends to 2005. Metadata entries in both systems are used in the CAS Digital Library, where they are interlinked with the full texts of periodicals.\n Digitalizační centrum Knihovny Akademie věd České republiky bylo vybudováno v roce 2003 a otevřeno na počátku roku 2004. Začal v něm probíhat proces digitalizace a zpřístupnění knihovního fondu vědecké produkce Akademie věd České republiky (AV ČR) a jejích předchůdkyň. Hlavním výstupem Digitalizačního centra se stala Digitální knihovna AV ČR, která se zaměřuje na ukládání a zpřístupňování vědeckých publikací. Jako prezentační rozhraní Digitální knihovny byl zvolen systém Kramerius - software vyvinutý pro zpřístupnění digitalizovaných materiálů. Digitální knihovna soustředí digitalizovanou produkci vědeckých ústavů AV ČR. Její součástí jsou jak periodika (ke konci roku 2016 je to 180 titulů), tak monografie (aktuálně 2 750 titulů). Digitální knihovna obsahuje přes tři miliony digitalizovaných stránek vědeckých publikací, převážně z 20. a 21. století. Nejstarší publikace v Digitální knihovně jsou z přelomu 16. a 17. století. Nově přibývají také dokumenty, které jako digitální už vznikají („born digital“). Jedná se především o články z akademických periodik a knihy z nakladatelství Academia. Takto vzniklých článků obsahuje Digitální knihovna již více než 8 300. Navíc jsou v Digitální knihovně postupně zpřístupňovány speciální kolekce dokumentů. Chloubou mezi nimi je sbírka starých tisků, z nichž jako první byla zpřístupněna unikátní Martinická bible, dále pak soubor starých čínských tisků z fondu Orientálního ústavu AV ČR. 2017 - English This poster informs about the Czech ARCLib project. One of the main goals of the project is the development of an open-source solution for a bit-level and logical preservation of digital documents, respecting the national and international standards as well as the needs of all types of libraries in the Czech Republic. The mission of the ARCLib project lies, among others, in creating a solution that will allow institutions to implement all of the OAIS functional modules and entities, considering institutions' information model.
