The paper deals with the shape of the landscape in the Czech Lands between the years 1948 and 1989. It strives to identify what role was played in the process of landscape formation by the then ruling political establishment, represented by the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia. By reviewing certain specific examples, it seeks answers to the question of to what extent the landscape in Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia was affected by the construction of socialism after the Communist take-over in February 1948. Práce se zabývá podobou krajiny Českých zemí mezi lety 1948 a 1989 a snaží se určit, jakou úlohu v procesu jejího utváření sehrál vládnoucí mocenský režim, Komunistická strana Československa. Prostřednictvím studia konkrétních příkladů hledá odpověď na otázku, do jaké míry byla krajina Čech, Moravy a Slezska ovlivněna budováním socialismu po únoru roku 1948.
