Cíl příspěvku představuje charakterizacipískovce zlomu Božanov u Broumova,Česká republika,pomocí pilotních lomových testů. Snímaných diagramů síla–posun bylo po jejich korekci využito kvyčíslení základních lomově-mechanických parametrůstudovaného pískovce: statického modulu pružnosti, lomové houževnatosti, houževnatostia specifické lomové energie. The aim of this paper is a characterization ofsandstone from Božanov quarry near Broumov, Czech Republic,by means of the pilot fracture tests. Five drill-core test specimens withnominal diameter of 50mm and lengths of 100 and 125mmwere provided by an initial chevron type notch. Specimens were loaded in the configuration of the three-point bending as a displacement driven experimentusing LabTest 6.250 equipment in the laboratory of the Institute of Building Testing, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Brno University of Technology. The load versus displacement diagrams were used to quantify the basic mechanical fracture parameters of the studied sandstone: modulus of elasticity, fracture toughness, toughness, and specific fracture energy. Random response of a dynamic system under polynomial of a white noise

Many types of external additive random excitation of dynamic systems admit to be modelled as a combination of powers of a Gaussian noise. Such a type of excitation produces a non-Gaussian response even if the dynamic system is linear and the excitation is additive only. Although the excitation as a whole is non-Gaussian, the problem can be transformed into the form of a linear system with an additive and multiplicative white noise excitation which _nally produces a non-Gaussian response. The general method of transformation, the respective FPK equation, basic stochastic moments of the response, and a demonstrative example are discussed. Microscopic study of multifunctional drug molecule adhesion to electronic biosensors coated with diamond and gold nanoparticles

The easy and fast detection of drug content and concentration levels is demanded in biological research as well as in clinical practice. Here we study on microscopic level how nanodiamonds and gold nanoparticles interact with a multifunctional drug molecule directly on a biosensor surface. The sensors are made of interdigitated Au electrodes coated by 5 nm hydrogenated or oxidized nanodiamonds and further combined with Au colloidal nanoparticles (size 20 nm) providing nanoscale composite (spacing 100 nm). Atomic force microscopy is employed to measure local tip-surface adhesion forces and surface topography. AFM adhesion maps show that the drug binds to all types of nanoparticles and the adhesion is also significantly influenced by the substrates on which the nanoparticles are deposited. Utilization of Convolution Neural Network Based Road Detection in Mobile Robot Localization

Mobile robot on-road navigation requires fusion of both global and local sensory information with an emphasis on the road detection processing. The paper deals with the road detection based on convolution neural networks (CNN) using commonly available tools such as TensorFlow and Keras. The road is defined by its linear boundaries. Network output is formed by the road definition together with classification parameters and serves as a local sensor in Kalman filter based localization. CNN based road detection is currently capable to successfully detect about 90% of images. Zatížení svorníků v silně namáhavém masivu

Při zkušebním provozu modifikované metody komora-pilíř s ponechanými stabilními pilíři, nazvané chodba-pilíř byla na Dole ČSM použita svorníková výztuž stropu a boků chodeb (stěn ponechaných pilířů). Zatížení a deformace svorníků byly měřeny v rámci rozsáhlého geotechnického monitoringu [1,2]. Následně bylo použito matematického modelování v softwaru Itasca FLAC3D [3] pro lepší objasnění zatěžovacích charakteristik svorníkové výztuže. The trial test of new mining method “Roadway-Pillar” was finished at the underground coal mine – ČSM Mine. The wide ranging monitoring was focused on the load bearing capacity of coal pillars and strata deformation changes induced by the roadway-pillar mining method. The results of monitoring allowed bolts loading and loading characteristics to be described. Further, an attempt is made to understand the rock bolt loading characteristics at different stages of rib dilation using numerical modelling with the available properties of rock mass and reinforcement for the studied site. Elastic and Mohr Coulomb strain-softening constitutive models are considered in FLAC3D to evaluate the performance of the rock bolts. Laser-generated nanoparticles to change physical properties of solids, liquids and gases

Synthesis of nanoparticles was possible employing a Nd: YAG pulsed laser at fundamental harmonic. The production of nanoparticles in water depends mainly on the laser parameters (pulse duration, energy, wavelength), the irradiation conditions (focal spot, repetition rate, irradiation time) and the medium where the ablation occurs (solid target, water, solution concentration). The nanoparticles can be introduced in solids, liquids or gases to change many physical characteristics. The optical properties of polymers and solutions, the wetting ability of liquids, the electron density of laser-generated plasma, represent some examples that can be controlled by the concentration of metallic nanoparticles (Au, Ag, Ti, Cu). Příčina mechanického chvění těžních synchronních motorů Palašer a jeho odstranění

Příspěvek popisuje postup a výsledek analýzy mechanického rozkmitávání těžních strojů na dole Palašer v Ruské federaci. Jako příčina byla určena změna velikosti magnetického toku ve vzduchové mezeře vlivem drážkování statorů. Provedené simulace prokázaly možnost odstranění změny magnetického toku injektáží vhodných napětí statorového vinutí. V dalším je popsána realizace této injektáže pomocí přímovazební kompenzace střídavé složky momentu. Na závěr jsou uvedeny oscilografické záznamy před a po injektáži. The paper describes the procedure and the result of analysis of mechanical vibrations of mining machines at the Palašer mine in the Russian Federation. The cause of these vibrations was the change in the magnitude of the magnetic flux in the air gap. The simulations showed the possibility of eliminating these changes in\nmagnetic flux by injecting suitable voltages into the stator windings. The implementation of this injection is further described by torque variable component feed-direct compensation. Finally, oscillography records are presented before and after injection. Residual stresses of laser-welded pressure vessel steel determined by X-ray and neutron diffraction

To gain insight into the quality of the laser weld, information about the residual stress state across the weld is very useful. In this contribution, the residual stress profiles for lowalloy carbon steel plates of P355NL1 grade, which were laser welded from both sides, are presented. To separate the effects of the production of plates from the welding process, the samples were annealed for stress relieving. Using X-ray and neutron diffraction, the surface and bulk RS profiles were obtained. From the obtained data, first, the difference in the character of the longitudinal (parallel to the weld axis) and the transversal component of the RS tensor can be seen. The longitudinal component has a tensile character with a maximum value approximately 500 MPa. Values and character of the transversal component vary strongly with depth and distance from the weld axis. Lexicalized Syntactic Analysis by Restarting Automata

We study h-lexicalized two-way restarting automata that can rewrite at most i times per cycle for some i ≥ 1 (hRLWW(i)-automata). This model is considered useful for the study of lexical (syntactic) disambiguation, which is a concept from linguistics. It is based on certain reduction patterns. We study lexical disambiguation through the formal notion of h-lexicalized syntactic analysis (hLSA). The hLSA is composed of a basic language and the corresponding h-proper language, which is obtained from the basic language by mapping all basic symbols to input symbols. We stress the sensitivity of hLSA by hRLWW(i)-automata to the size of their windows, the number of possible rewrites per cycle, and the degree of (non-)monotonicity. We introduce the concepts of contextually transparent languages (CTL) and contextually transparent lexicalized analyses based on very special reduction patterns, and we present two-dimensional hierarchies of their subclasses based on the size of windows and on the degree of synchronization. The bottoms of these hierarchies correspond to the context-free languages. CTL creates a proper subclass of context-sensitive languages with syntactically natural properties. Second Order Optimality in Markov and Semi-Markov Decision Processes

Semi-Markov decision processes can be considered as an extension of discrete- and continuous-time Markov reward models. Unfortunately, traditional optimality criteria as long-run average reward per time may be quite insufficient to characterize the problem from the point of a decision maker. To this end it may be preferable if not necessary to select more sophisticated criteria that also reflect variability-risk features of the problem. Perhaps the best known approaches stem from the classical work of Markowitz on mean-variance selection rules, i.e. we optimize the weighted sum of average or total reward and its variance. Such approach has been already studied for very special classes of semi-Markov decision processes, in particular, for Markov decision processes in discrete - and continuous-time setting. In this note these approaches are summarized and possible extensions to the wider class of semi-Markov decision processes is discussed. Attention is mostly restricted to uncontrolled models in which the chain is aperiodic and contains a single class of recurrent states. Considering finite time horizons, explicit formulas for the first and second moments of total reward as well as for the corresponding variance are produced.
