2023 - German In dieser Arbeit soll es um Chancen und Herausforderungen einer deutsch-französischen grenzüberschreitenden Kooperation im Kulturbereich gehen. Daher soll in dieser Arbeit das deutsch-französische Festival der Bühnenkunst PERSPECTIVES näher beleuchtet werden, das ein wichtiges Kulturereignis in der Großregion darstellt. Diesbezüglich soll herausgearbeitet werden, wie gut oder schlecht die Kooperation funktioniert, welche Aspekte bereits eine gute Funktionsweise und insbesondere ein gutes Zusammenwirken der beteiligten Gruppen entwickelt haben und wo noch Handlungsbedarf bezüglich weiterer Potenziale besteht. Außerdem sollen die Herausforderungen, mit denen sich die grenzüberschreitende Zusammenarbeit konfrontiert sieht, herausgearbeitet werden. This Master's thesis focuses on challenges and opportunities of a Franco-German cross-border cooperation in the cultural sector. Therefore, this thesis proposes to take a closer look at the Franco-German festival of performing arts PERSPECTIVES, which is organised within the Greater Region and has existed for a comparatively long time. With the help of semi-structured interviews, the thesis aims to answer the following questions: How successfully does the cross-border cooperation work? Which aspects have already developed a successful mode of operation? Where is still need for action? Which challenges are cross-border cooperations in the cultural sector facing? 2023 - German Diplomová práce zkoumá totalitní systémy 20. století na základě komparativní analýzy tří vybraných literárně-historických děl vycházejících z různých kulturních pozadí. Jedná se o díla Souostroví Gulag od Alexandra Solženicyna, Divoké labutě od Jung Changové a Poslední stanice život od Ruth Klügerové. Jako pomůcka pro komparativní analýzu děl je zvolena eklekticky sestavená hermeneutická interpretační metoda, která dodává analýze strukturu. Diplomová práce si klade za cíl zodpovědět otázku, zda je možné použít literárně-filozofický interpretační přístup jako je hermeneutika ke zkoumání historických událostí zanesených do literárně-historických uměleckých děl. Dále se práce v rámci analytické části zabývá otázkou, zda lze napříč kulturně odlišnými totalitními systémy nalézt společné a objektivní prvky totalitního systému jako takového. The thesis examines totalitarian regimes of the 20th century through comparative analysis of three selected literary works from different cultural backgrounds. The selected works are The Gulag Archipelago by Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, Wild Swans by Jung Chang and Still alive by Ruth Klüger. The comparative analysis of the works will be carried out using an eclectically constructed hermeneutic method. This method will give structure to the analysis. The aim of the thesis is to answer the question of whether it is possible to use a literary-philosophical approach such as hermeneutics to study historical events recorded in literary works. In addition, the analytical part of the thesis deals with the question whether common and objective elements of a totalitarian system as such can be found across culturally different totalitarian systems. 2022 - German Cílem této diplomové práce je překlad a analýza vědeckého textu z oblasti sociologie. V teoretické části práce jsou nastíněny základní pojmy teorie překladu, role překladatele, překladatelské typy a metody, které jsou pro zhotovení překladu důležité. V neposlední řadě jsou zkoumány charakteristické rysy odborného stylu jak ve zdrojovém jazyce (němčina), tak kontrastivně i v jazyce cílovém (čeština). Část praktická sestává především ze samotného překladu delšího textu z oblasti sociologie, který dosud v češtině nevyšel, a analýzy překladu, která upozorňuje na různá úskalí při překladatelské práci s odborným jazykem, komentuje problematická místa z pohledu lexikální a morfosyntaktické roviny a navrhuje různé způsobu jejich řešení. Součástí práce je rovněž německo-český glosář složený z odborných sociologických termínů a výrazů, které jsou pro text stěžejní. The aim of this thesis is the translation and analysis of a scientific text in the field of sociology. The theoretical part of the thesis outlines the basic concepts of translation theory, the role of the translator, translation types and methods that are important for the production of a translation. Last but not least, the characteristic features of professional style in the source language (German) and, contrastively, in the target language (Czech) are examined. The practical part consists mainly of the actual translation of a longer text in the field of sociology, which has not yet been published in Czech, and an analysis of the translation, which points out various problems in translation work with specialized language, comments on problematic areas from the perspective of lexical and morphosyntactic level and suggests various ways of solving them. The work also includes a German-Czech glossary consisting of professional sociological terms and expressions that are central for the text. 2021 - German Předmětem práce je analýza mediální prezentace událostí revolučního roku 1989 v Německu a bývalém Československu. Cílem je zjistit, jak česká média pojednávají o současné situaci vNěmecku sohledem na historický kontext, kterými tématy se v souvislosti s revolucí v roce 1989 zabývají, a do jaké míry spojují podobu dnešního Německa s vlivem, který na něj měl výsledek studené války, tedy revoluce, která byla završena pádem zdi. Analogicky k této studii bude ve stejném smyslu zkoumána německá mediální scéna a její pohled na aktuální dějství v České republice. Hlavní aspekty výzkumu tvoří sektory politické, společenské a ekonomické. K celistvému výkladu patří úvod do historického kontextu, v závěrečné části je mimo krátkou úvahu autorky o zjištěných poznatcích k dispozici stručná deskripce použitých médií, která má zaručit kompaktní charakter diplomové práce. This thesis aims to analyze how the media presented events during the 1989 revolutions in Germany and former Czechoslovakia, as well as the influence that these events maintain on present-day media. The first objective is to offer a historical contextualization for interpreting how the Czech media report on current events in Germany. This includes which topics surrounding the 1989 revolution are addressed by the Czech media, and to which degree they posit the role of the Cold War, concluded by the fall of the Berlin Wall, on shaping the current state of Germany. Furthermore, the second objective is to evaluate how the German media perceive these historical events and how that perception influences the interpretation of current situations in the Czech Republic. This research mainly considers political, social and economic aspects. To ensure a comprehensive monograph, an introduction into the historical context as well as a brief description of relevant media sources is included. The thesis is concluded with a short reflection essay. Jedná se o Kateřinu Tučkovou, Radku Denemarkovou a Jakubu Katalpu. Každá z autorek zpracovává česko-německá témata s odlišnou motivací a přináší na problematiku nový pohled, což dokazuje detailní analýza románů Vyhnání Gerty Schnirch, Peníze od Hitlera a Němci. Cílem práce je vytvořit tři osobité portréty a pojmenovat shodné i rozdílné tendence zmíněných autorek. Pozornost se soustředí na jejich biografii, společenské aktivity a názory, které jsou pro pochopení kontextu nezbytné. The diploma thesis deals with Czech contemporary female authors who focus on Czech-German relations in the 20th century and are engaged in the German-speaking area. These are Katerina Tuckova, Radka Denemarkova and Jakuba Katalpa. Each of the authors approaches the Czech-German topics with different motivations and brings a new perspective on the issue, as evidenced by a detailed analysis of the novels The Expulsion of Gerta Schnirch, Money from Hitler and The Germans. The aim of the work is to create three distinctive portraits and to name the same and different tendencies of the mentioned authors. Attention is focused on their biography, social activities and opinions, which are necessary for understanding the context. Teoretická práce je zaměřena na literárně-kulturní pozadí NDR, na folkový protestsong jako žánr s významnou společenskou a politickou ambicí a jeho dějinný kontext v západních zemích a zemích komunistického bloku v druhé polovině 20. století. V praktické části budou interpretovány vybrané písně uvedených písničkářů s ohledem na literární kvality textů, bude sledována recepce a dopady jejich šíření mezi veřejností i osudy interpretů v posledních dvou desetiletích existence NDR. 2021 - German Tématem této diplomové práce je literatura NDR od 50. do 70. let, jejíž charakter je utvářen pozůstatky holocaustu a vládou socialismu. Po skončení druhé světové války se objevuje značné množství děl s židovskou tematikou a zároveň díla zabývající se každodenními problémy v socialistickém prostředí. Východoněmecký spisovatel židovského původu Jurek Becker je příkladem autora, který má zkušenosti s pronásledováním Židů i socialistickým režimem, a proto je řadí mezi hlavní témata své literární tvorby. Cílem práce je zjistit, jak byla tehdejší literatura těmito skutečnostmi ovlivněna, a to nejen pomocí zkoumaní politického a kulturního kontextu, ale především prostřednictvím zmíněného autora a jeho čtyř románů. The topic of this diploma thesis is the literature of the GDR from the 50s to the 70s, whose character is formed by the remnants of the Holocaust and the dominance of socialism. After the Second World War, a considerable amount of works with a Jewish theme as well as works dealing with everyday problems in the socialist milieu appears. The East German writer of Jewish origin Jurek Becker is an example of the author who has experience with both the persecution of Jews and the socialist regime, and therefore incorporates them into the main themes of his literary works. The aim of the thesis is to find out how was contemporary literature influenced by these facts, not only by examining the political and cultural context, but especially through the mentioned author and his four novels. Die Konstruktion von Identität bei einer ethnischen Minderheit am Beispiel des Fremdsprachenunterrichts in Südböhmen

2021 - German Tato magisterská práce se zabývá tématem konstrukce identity ve vztahu k osvojování jazyka a rolí identity ve výuce cizích jazyků. V první, teoretické části jsou popsány vztahy mezi jazykem a identitou z několika perspektiv. Nejprve jsou identita a její různé poddruhy definovány z psychologického hlediska. Poté se pozornost přesouvá na spojitost mezi osvojováním jazyků a konstrukcí identity ve vztahu ke kultuře, světonázorům atd. Nakonec je zkoumána role identity a její konstrukce ve výuce cizích jazyků. V druhé, praktické části jsou tyto teoretické poznatky převedeny do praxe na příkladu výuky cizího jazyka v regionu Českých Budějovic v jižních Čechách. Za pomoci dvou formulářů je vytvořeno srovnání mezi skupinou dětí, které se učí německý a skupinou dětí, které se učí anglický jazyk. Toto srovnání má přinést odpovědi na otázky týkající se role identity ve výuce jizích jazyků. Zmíněné srovnání nemá za cíl pouze potvrdit, či vyvrátit rozdíly v přístupu žáků obou skupin, ale snaží se najít i důvody, faktory a vysvětlení, které by pomohly objasnit rozdílné přístupy žáků obou skupin. Tato zjištění mají dále tvořit základ pro doporučení, která by umožnila optimalizaci výuky cizích jazyků skrz využití silnější identifikace žáků s cílovým jazykem. This master thesis concerns itself with the topic of creation of identity in relation to language acquisition and its role in the teaching of foreign languages. In the first, theoretical part of this thesis, the connection between language and identity is explored from multiple perspectives. First, identity and its numerous subtypes are described from a psychological point of view. Later, the focus shifts to the relationship between the acquisition of language and the construction of identity. Finally, the role of identity trough language acquisition is explored as a part of the teaching of foreign languages. In the second, practical part of this thesis, the theoretical knowledge is put into practice on the example of foreign language teaching in schools in the region of Budweis/České Budějovice, in south Bohemia. Using two questionnaires a comparison is created between a group of English and a group of German learners. This comparison aims to find answers concerning the role of identity in foreign language teaching classes. The goal of this comparison is not only to (dis)prove the differences in the attitudes of the two learner groups towards their target language, but it also tries to find reasons, factors, and explanations, that would help to clarify these differences. These clarifications are then to be used as the basis for recommendations, which would help to optimise the learning of foreign languages through a stronger identification of the learners with their target languages.
