Úloha veřejného vzdělávání v konstrukci uruguayské národní identity

In the end of the XIX century Uruguayian elite, influencluenced by the positivism and darwinism and the educational reform in the United States carried out by Thomas Mann, decided that the social reality of Uruguay needed a radical change and the tool to transact it was an establishment of the public obligatory education system. The protagonists of the reform - Jose Pedro Varela and the generation 78 decided what would be the symbols to represent Uruguayian nation and what historical events should be taught through the historical textbooks. The narratives created by Francisco Bauzá, so called "first uruguayian historian" created the model that the historians in the XX century followed and this work, using the cualitative method is showing the evolution of the historical narrative in the school textbooks of Barreiro y Ramos, Alberto Zum Felde, Alfredo Traversoni and Gerardo Caetano. The analisis shows how the national mythology of Francisco Bauzá continued to influence the school textbooks till the second part of the XX century and the change that the last decades of the XX century brought. The thesis also includes the analisis of the interviews made in public high schools in Montevideo partially reflect the national identity of uruguayians now. Na konci 19. století se uruguayská elita, ovlivněná pozitivismem a darwinismem a vzdělávací reformou ve Spojených státech, kterou provedl Thomas Mann, rozhodla, že sociální realita Uruguaye potřebuje radikální změnu a nástroj k jejímu provedení je zavedení veřejného povinného vzdělávacího systému. Protagonisté reformy - Jose Pedro Varela a generace 78 se rozhodli, jaké symboly budou představovat uruguayský národ a jaké historické události by se měly učit prostřednictvím učebnic z dějin. Vyprávění, které vytvořil Francisco Bauzá, kterému říkají "první uruguayský historik", vytvořilo model, který následovali historici v 20. století, a tato práce, pomocí kvalitativní metody, ukazuje vývoj historického vyprávění ve školních učebnicích Barreiro y Ramose, Alberta Zum Felde, Alfreda Traversoni a Gerarda Caetano. Analýza ukazuje, jak národní mytologie Francisco Bauzy nadále ovlivňovala školní učebnice až do druhé poloviny 20. století a také změny, které nastali v posledních desetiletích 20. století. Práce také zahrnuje analýzu rozhovorů provedených na veřejných středních školách v Montevideu, které částečně odrážející národní identitu uruguayianů. Výsledky ukázaly, že zavedení veřejného vzdělávacího systému v Uruguayi hralo zásadní roli při budování národní identity.

Bartolomé de las Casas fought during whole of his life for the freedom of the natives of the New World. Our intention here is to know the anthropological and metaphysical foundations of his speech, think and protest. The discovery of the West Indies is for Las Casas, a sublime opportunity for the Spanish Crown to realize the apostolic mission according to the example of Christ and his disciples, martirs and saints. In this sense, this archaic-medieval world, in America is suddenly current. Therefore instead of opening new perspectives - spiritual and epistemological - on the opposite way, it is offer a new chance for the more deepest convictions established in the oldiest medieval Judeo-Christian tradition mentalitie. Tato práce je zaměřena na poznání antropologických a metafyzických základů jeho myšlenek, návrhů a obvinění. Objevení Indií je nejen pro otce Las Casase, ale i pro španělskou Korunu, výjimečnou příležitostí převtělit se do křesťanské apoštolské mise následující příklad Krista a jeho nejvěrnějších napodobitelů a komentaristů. V tomto ohledu se v Americe tento náboženský vesmír (středověce-archaický) střetává s realitou a místo toho, aby otevíral nové možnosti - řekněme duchovní či epistemologické - právě naopak, vybízí k tomu, aby se španělská mentalita pevně chytila přesvědčení o konceptu světa, diktovaného archaickou náboženskou židovsko-křesťanskou tradicí středověku. This work is an analysis of criticism of the dictatorial regime of Rafael Trujillo in articles, letters, speeches and lectures produced by Juan Bosch during the period of dictatorship, that is in the period 1930-1961. Its aim is to show which manifestations of the regime were criticized by Bosch and for what reason or what purpose the author observed with his criticism. In the theoretical part of this work, attention is paid to the historical issues of dominican politics and economics and the elements that influenced the dictatorship as well as the analysis of Rafael Trujillo's dictatorship in Dominican Republic and the basic pillars of its functioning in political, economic, social and ideological sphere (the functioning of the regime, the monopolization of economic life, the introduction of social reforms, anti-Communist and anti-Haitian attitudes) as well as various forms of oppression and censorship; these aspects were criticized by Bosch. In the analysis of texts by Juan Bosch, some space is also dedicated to the author's interpretation of the dictatorship contained in the larger texts. Many analyzed articles from that period relate to the resistance activity of the dominican exile, so space is also devoted to the description of its political and propagandistic activities in exile associated... Táto práca sa zaoberá analýzou kritiky diktátorského režimu Rafaela Trujilla v článkoch, listoch, prejavoch a prednáškach Juana Boscha napísaných v období trvania diktatúry, teda v rozmedzí rokov 1930-1961. Jej cieľom je poukázať na to, ktoré prejavy režimu boli Boschom kritizované a z akého dôvodu, prípadne čo autor svojou kritikou sledoval. V teoretickej časti tejto práce je pozornosť venovaná historickej problematike dominikánskeho politického a ekonomického a prvkom, ktoré ovplyvnili vznik diktatúry ako aj analýza samotnej diktatúry Rafaela Trujilla v Dominikánskej Republike a základných pilierov jej fungovania v politickej, ekonomickej, sociálnej a ideologickej sfére (zdanlivá legálnosť, politické fungovanie režimu, monopolizácia ekonomického života, zavedenie sociálnych reforiem, protikomunistické a protihaitské postoje atď.) ako aj rôznym formám útlaku a cenzúry; tieto aspekty sú predmetom Boschovej kritiky. Ambivalent Dynamics: Montacerdos and the poetics of the impossible This philosophical research takes the literary analysis of Montacerdos as a liminar case for the theory of the heterogeneity of Antonio Cornejo Polar, according to which Jara's nouvelle would present a negative view of the phenomenon of internal migration, in the same safhion as the generation of the 50s (Ribeyro, Salazar Bondy, Enrique Congrains, etc.). Following what Raul Bueno considers a pending task in the theory of heterogeneity: to make the heterogenous subject a heterogenating subject, we intend to reformulate the concepts of Cornejo Polar so that they account for the positive nature of the critical non-representative of Montacerdos, which will be done through a discussion between Latin American «Estudios Culturales» and two contemporary theories. In the first place I will review the Gilles Deleuze's and Felix Guattari's concept of minor literature to test the relevance of a semiotics de- ontologisation of the Peruvian migrant subject, who unlike the European minor writer - whose paradigmatic example is Franz Kafka - must face the phenomenon of internal colonialism. Secondly, I will review Homi Bhabha's concept of ambivalence, which does not seize cultural encounters through semiotic de-ontologisation, but through a... (in English) Initially, this master's degree thesis exposes the professional life and the evolution as author of Laura Restrepo, pointing out her work and direction in literature. Then, an introduction to the studied novel, Delirio, is presented and its style, the formal and narrative techniques and the synopsis is developed. Second part of the thesis analyses key elements of the novel that are thematically linked with madness (the room, childhood, seeing beyond, sexuality, lying, water, delirium and green color). The symbology of these elements is analyzed, which is later applied, in the last part of the thesis, to deepen the possible symbology of some concrete scenes of the novel, in which the protagonist decides to paint the walls of her apartment in green. Poté je představen úvod do studovaného románu Delirio a jeho styl, formální a narativní techniky a obsah. Druhá část práce analyzuje klíčové prvky obsažené v románu, které jsou tématicky spojeny s šílenstvím (místnost, dětství, vidění ‚za', sexualita, lež, voda, delirium a zelená barva). Analyzuje se možná symbolika těchto prvků, která je v poslední části práce aplikována na prohloubení možné symboliky některých konkrétních scén románu, ve kterých se hlavní postava rozhodne natírat zdi svého bytu na zeleno. The aim of the present Master`s Degree Thesis is to make an approximation to the Basque theme in the selected works of Pío Baroja. Concretely, it`s close to twenty short stories and the novels of the tetralogy Tierra vasca (Basque country), namely, La casa de Aizgorri, Zalacaín el aventurero, La leyenda de Jaun de Alzate y El mayorazgo de Labraz. First, the San Sebastian writer`s relation with the Basque country is presented, as well as his vision of his fatherland in the history context. Second, the presence of the Basque language - as known as euskera - in the works is described, as in the vocabulary, the onomastic or for example in phrases or in popular songs. Third, we study concrete Basque motives, such as the landscape, the cities and towns, the people, the history or the Basque sorcery and mythology. Cílem této diplomové práce je přiblížit baskické téma ve vybraném díle Pía Baroji. Konkrétně se jedná o téměř dvacet povídek a o romány z tetralogie Baskická země (Tierra vasca), tj. La casa de Aizgorri (Dům Aizgorriů), Zalacaín el aventurero (Zalacaín dobrodruh), La leyenda de Jaun de Alzate (Legenda o Jaunovi de Alzate) a El mayorazgo de Labraz (Dědičný pán z Labrazu). Nejprve je představen vztah spisovatele ze San Sebastiánu s Baskickem a jeho vize v historickém kontextu. Zadruhé se zaměřuje pozornost na přítomnost baskického jazyka v díle, a sice jak ve slovní zásobě a onomastice, tak například ve frázích či v písních. Zatřetí jsou studiu podrobeny konkrétní baskické elementy, jako je příroda, města a vesnice, lidé či čarodějnictví a mytologie.

Vliv Mírových sborů na rozvoj Kolumbie v letech 1964-1981

The purpose of this paper is to describe the work of the Peace Corps during its first period of volunteer activity in Colombia. To put it into perspective, the relations between Colombia and the United States throughout the XIX and XX centuries are analyzed in the first chapter. The second chapter offers a description of the American government's policies during the Cold War, with emphasis on the influence and scope of the Alliance for Progress in Latin America. The third chapter deals with the origin, operation, and development throughout the world of the main programs of the Peace Corps, as a semi-independent federal agency linked to the Presidency of the United States. The fourth and last chapter refers to specific areas of activity, objectives, as well as the positive and negative impacts of the Peace Corps in Colombia. Also included are the reasons for which this program of cooperation came to an end in 1981, its repercussion throughout Colombia, and its return in 2010. Keywords: Peace Corps - United States - Colombia - development - Cold War Cílem této práce je popsat působení dobrovolných Mírových sborů v Kolumbii v první fázi jejich činnosti. V úvodní kapitole nastiňujeme širší kontext vzájemných vztahů Kolumbie a Spojených států v 19. a 20. století. V druhé kapitole rozebíráme státní politiku USA v kontextu studené války s hlavním důrazem na vliv a výsledky Aliance pro pokrok (Alliance for progress) v Latinské Americe. V třetí kapitole se věnujeme výhradně Mírovým sborům jakožto napůl nezávislé federální agentuře, vázané na úřad prezidenta Spojených států: jak vznikly, jak začaly fungovat, jak se rozvíjely a jaké byly jejich hlavní programy ve světě. Čtvrtá kapitola podrobněji popisuje specifické oblasti činnosti Mírových sborů v Kolumbii, jejich cíle a pozitivní i negativní dopady. Na závěr doplňujeme důvody, jež vedly roku 1981 na kolumbijském území k ukončení tohoto programu spolupráce, analyzuje ohlas programu v Kolumbii a návrat k přerušené spolupráci roku 2010. This work is centered in the analysis of characters in the novel The Savage Detevcives written by Roberto Bolaño. The thesis has no purpose in the biografic analysis of its authors life. It represents a detailed research and identification of characters that were (and still are) attached to our delimited context which is centered in the years of the development of the plot (1975-1976) and the years after while the movement infrarrealsim lasts. Its purpose is the analysis of each selected character. In order to fulfill it I have created the concept of the "infra-grafía". An infra-grafía is some kind of curriculum of each character that helps to respond the question that this work arises: which characters are fictional and which are infra-real? Because real is none of them. Tato práce se soustředí na analýzu postav v díle Divocí detektivové od Roberta Bolaña. Záměrem práce není biografická analýza autorova života. Představuje detailní bádání a identifikaci postav, které byly (a nadále jsou) spojené se staoveným kontextem zasahujícím do roků, v nichž se dílo odehrává (1975-1976), a roků následujících spojených s hnutím infrarrealismus. Cílem je analýza každé postavy, která splňuje tyto podmínky. K úspešnému vypracování jsem vymyslela koncept tzv. "infra-grafie". Infra-grafia je jistý druh životopisu vytvořeného pro každou z těchto postav, aby pomohl rozluštit záhadu, na kterou hledá tato práce odpovědi: které postavy jsou fiktivní a které jsou infra-reálné? Neboť reálná není žádná z nich.

The studies of the different forms and structures of language usually take for granted that these refer to non-linguistic entities, i.e., that language reflects the world. In the case of verbal devices, such entities happen to be time, aktionsart or aspect. In view of the proven impossibility of giving an accurate account of the behavior of such devices by means of these categories, disquisitions and further elucidations are perpetuated, what complicates the pro- blem to not very judicious levels. Moreover, because the conclusions reached get equally in conflict with a linguistic reality which resists them, contradicts them. So there is no other choice left than to declare exceptions or special uses, or banish the insubordinate segments to the periphery of the system. Our first goal will therefore be the previous establishment of a theoretical framework, as a cure for the a posteriori theorizing based on what is seen on the surface, which would allow us to assign a possible invariant central value to linguistic elements, for which we will rely on the metaoperational system of H. Adamczewski. In it, such elements are operators defined by their belonging to one of two phases in the process of utterance assembly, namely, by a rhematic character, of proposition of the information, or by a thematic... Studie zabývající se různými formami a strukturami jazyka obvykle považují za samo- zřejmé, že se tyto jednotky odvolávají na prvky nejazykové reality čili že jazyk odráží svět. V případě slovesných soustav jsou takovými prvky čas, aktionsart nebo vid. Vzhledem k tomu, že není možné spolehlivě popsat slovesné chování pomocí těchto kategorií, navrho- vaná řešení se neustále upravují a rozšiřují, výsledkem čehož jsou mnohdy obtížně aplikova- telné a příliš složité teoretické modely. Je to dáno rovněž tím, že závěry, k nimž se dochází, se soustavně dostávají do rozporu s jazykovou skutečností, která jim odolává a popírá je. Nezbývá tedy než uchylovat se ve vysvětleních k výjimkám nebo vyřadit segmenty vzpírající se navržené klasifikaci na periferii systému.
