Výstupem této práce je základ tvůrčí producentské skupiny samostatně fungující v prostředí tuzemské televize veřejné služby a úzce zaměřené na seniorského diváka. Obsahuje popis televizního prostředí a to jak ze strany producenta, tak se strany konzumenta. Je doplněna o detailní popis cílové skupiny na základě komparace dostupných sociologických výzkumů a o základní popis pěti doporučených pořadů, pro takovou konkrétní TPS. The output of this work is the basis of a creative producer group independent of the public service television and narrowly focused on the senior spectator. It contains a description of the TV environment both from the producer side and from the consumer side. A detailed description of the target group is added on the basis of a comparison of available sociological research and a basic description of the five recommended programs for such a particular production group.

Americká opera a její vývoj ve 20. století

Tato práce pojednává o vývoji americké opery, tj. opery na území dnešního USA, ve 20. století. Je chronologickým přehledem hlavních vlivů, které tento vývoj formovaly. Zaměřuje se na přelomové okamžiky, historické milníky, významné operní skladatele a jejich stěžejní díla. Všímá si odlišností americké a evropské hudební tradice a soustředí se na specifika formující americkou operní tvorbu. Práce byla vytvořena kompilační metodou, která vychází z několika odborných děl předních amerických muzikologů či badatelů v oblasti kulturní historie. Důvodem pro vznik je absence jakékoli obsažnější či souhrnnější literatury v českém jazyce, která o tomto tématu pojednává. The objective of this thesis is to provide an overview of history and development of American opera, ie opera in the territory of today´s USA, in the 20th century. It is a chronological overview of the main influences that shaped this development. It focuses on turning moments, historical milestones, significant opera composers and their core works. It notes the distinction between American and European musical traditions and focuses on the specifics of American opera art. This thesis was created by a compilation method based on several professional works by leading American musicologists and scholars in the field of cultural history. The reason for creating this work is the absence of any more inclusive or more comprehensive literature in the Czech language, which deals with this topic.

V této práci se soustředím na zdroje, ze kterých vycházel Christoph Willibald Gluck a Nicolas-Francois Guillard při svém zpracování příběhu o Ifigenii na Tauridě. Zároveň popisuji svou cestu k inscenování tohoto díla ve Slezském divadle Opava. In this work I concentrate on the sources from which Christoph Willibald Gluck and Nicola-Francois Guillard had come out when they are processing their story of Ifigenia in Tauris. At the same time, I describe my way to the setting of this piece in Silesian theatre Opava.

Text představuje několik konceptuálních oblastí spjatých s filosofií techniky a médií. Skrze ně pak interpretuje některé aspekty role techniky v hudbě a usiluje tak o nastínění rámce, do nějž začleňuje počítač a algoritmické hudební uvažování. Úvahy o kontinuitě vztahu člověka a techniky mají za cíl poodkrýt specifika charakteru počítače – který můžeme vnímat například jako dynamickou kumulaci logického myšlení. V textu je zároveň kladen důraz na skladatele jako organizátora a živého interpreta komputačního stroje. The text proposes to descirbe a few conceptual areas associated with the philosophy of technics and media through which it then interprets certain aspects of the role of technics in music. By doing so, it attempts to suggest a framework for understanding the computer and algorithmic musical thought. Reflections on the continuity of human technicity seek to unveil some facets of the digital computer – which can be seen for example as a dynamic cumulation of logical thought. At the same time, the text stresses the role of the composer as an organizer and living interpreter of the computational machine.

Large format photography refers to the photographic practice that utilizes a large light
sensitive surface to capture photographs. As of 2018, large format photography is still
a subset of analog photography. The digital revolution brings us into the digital era.
Manufacturers and businesses in the photography industry is forced to adapt the
transition from analog to digital in order to survive and succeed in the new market.
Meanwhile, photography theorists find themselves facing a new set of issues
because the photographs have become immediate and immaterial. While camera
manufacturers have in effect accelerated the analog-to-digital transition with their
proactive business strategies and relentless marketing campaigns, higher education
has become the last bastion for the analog where large format camera classes teach
students the tradition of photography and how to see the world contemplatively. Large format photography refers to the photographic practice that utilizes a large light
sensitive surface to capture photographs. As of 2018, large format photography is still
a subset of analog photography. The digital revolution brings us into the digital era.

Diplomová práce přináší ucelený přehled o tanečně pohybové terapii a jejím uplatněním v podmínkách České republiky, dále pak představuje tuto psychoterapeutickou metodu jako doplňující expresivní terapii při poruchách příjmu potravy. Teoretická část se opírá o poznatky z odborné literatury českých i zahraničních autorů a praktická část představuje kvalitativní výzkum, který zahrnuje dvě kazuistiky klientek s poruchou příjmu potravy a rozhovory s odborníky. This thesis provides a comprehensive overview of dance movement therapy and the condition surrounding its application in the Czech Republic. It also proposes to introduce this psychotherapeutic method as a supplementary treatment therapy for eating disorders. The theoretical part of this thesis is based on knowledge taken from educational literature by variety of Czech and foreign authors and the practical part is derived from specific research that includes two case reports of clients with eating disorders as well as interviews with experts.

Tato diplomová práce je pokusem o formulování osobního manifestu filmového tvůrce. Jde o pokus o reflexi současné situace z hlediska tvůrčího, technologického, společenského i historického. Pokus o nalezení vlastní odpovědi na základní ontologickou otázku: co je film? Co je to světlo? Jaká je povaha vztahu tvůrce a aparátů, které používá. To vše s důrazem na praktické naplnění těchto úvah. Jako případová studie je proto součástí také kapitola věnovaná speciálnímu promítacímu aparátu jménem Pramítačka, která je ztělesněním, výsledkem i iniciátorem výše popisovaných úvah. This thesis is an attempt to formulate a personal manifesto of a film maker. An attempt to a reflection from a creative, technological, social and historical point of view. An attempt to find a personal answer to a fundamental ontological question: what is film? What is light? What is the nature of the relationship between film maker and the apparatus he uses. All that with a emphasis to practical application. Therefore one chapter is a case study of a special projection aparatus called Archeoscope which is both a result - embodiment - as well as an initiation of some of the thoughts mentioned above.

"Neither here nor there"

Throughout this thesis I have been trying to clarify for myself what I am doing and why. I have had the profound privilege of being able to begin again. A poem captured what I felt about being in this liminal phase. I knew I wanted to explore what I was learning in DAMU fully and concretely. I needed to learn how to be still and wait. I realised how fundamental breathing is in connecting mind and body, and I learnt what a bane the ego can be. I mean ego in the colloquial, not psychoanalytical, sense. It is only by detaching from the criticisms, positive and negative, of others (including mine) that I have any hope of cultivating my own voice. I wrote out of myself and through the process of writing I was more open to the lessons I was being taught every day in classes, and readings.
The secret lies in not caring whether I am great or not. Being great is not what is important. Being your self is. As a teacher said, ‘It is difficult, and very easy.’
I finally came to the point when I had written about myself enough. It is time to locate the centre of attention in the world, the audience. Ve své diplomové práci se snažím si objasnit, čemu se věnuji a proč. Měla jsem ohromné štěstí, že jsem mohla v životě začít znova. V jedné básni se podařilo zachytit, co jsem v této fázi cítila. Věděla jsem, že chci plně a do hloubky zkoumat to, co jsem studovala na DAMU. Potřebovala jsem se naučit, jak být v klidu a čekat. Uvědomila jsem si, že dech je zcela zásadně spjat s myslí a tělem a přišla jsem na to, jaké trápení může působit ego. Nemyslím tím ego v psychoanalytickém pojetí. Mám na mysli, jak je důležité se oprostit od kritiky, ať už pozitivní nebo negativní, druhých či mé vlastní. Bez tohoto kroku nelze kultivovat vlastní projev. Při psaní jsem vycházela ze sebe a skrze proces psaní jsem byla otevřenější vůči všemu, co jsem se učila na seminářích každý den.
Tajemství tkví v tom, nestarat se o to, jestli jsem dobrá nebo ne. Není důležité být dobrá. Ale být sama sebou. Jak řekl jeden pedagog, „Je to těžké a velmi jednoduché.“ Nakonec jsem dospěla do bodu, kdy jsem o sobě napsala dost. Nyní je čas přemístit ohnisko pozornosti směrem do světa, k divákům.

Tato práce se zabývá hudebním stylem na pomezí jazzu, gospelu a blues, tzv. soul-jazzem, který vrcholil v 60. letech 20. století v USA a jako převážně afro-americká hudební forma existoval stranou zájmu kritiků a novinářů. Cílem práce je specifikovat jeho charakteristické rysy, vybrat vhodné zástupce z řad kytaristů a popsat jejich profesní kariéru a styl. Výstupem diplomové práce bude obohacení vlastního stylu a to jak improvizačního tak i kompozičního. This work deals with a musical genre that borders jazz, gospel and blues, so-called soul-jazz, which peaked in popularity in the 1960s in the USA and as a predominantly afro-american art form went almost unnoticed by the mainstream critics and journalists. The aim of the analysis is to specify it’s characteristics, introduce it’s representatives out of guitarists and describe their musical careers and style. The output of the thesis will be enrichment of my own style in both improvisation and composition.
