The Otherness of the Marxist Philosophy of History: An Attempt at Symbolic Conceptualization Abstract: The presented master's thesis makes an attempt to re-contextualize the Marxist philosophy of history in relation to its otherness (Anderssein) and thereby to shift the methodologically central accent away from the category of totality (worked out mainly in Lukács' "History and Class Consciousness"). This new perspective is to be centred on the phenomena that cannot be fully covered in a scientific or strictly materialist manner and that nevertheless belong to the conceptual framework of Marxism. For this purpose, the other (das Andere) is defined as the symbolic (das Symbolische), which is further examined in the first part of the thesis with reference to Kant's "Critique of Judgment" and on the basis of several descriptions - discursive and phenomenological alike. The symbolic is then outlined as a special type of figurative that overcomes the figurative itself and thus constitutes a transcending operation. In the second part of the paper, this definition is applied to the Marxist philosophy of history with the aim to explicate its symbolic figures and to show their conceptual tensions. Die Andersheit der Marxistischen Geschichtsphilosophie: Ein Versuch der symbolischen Auslegung Abstract: In der Arbeit wird der Versuch unternommen, die Marxistische Geschichtsphilosophie in Bezug auf ihr Anderssein neu zu thematisieren und dabei den methodologisch zentralen Akzent von der Kategorie der Totalität (ausgearbeitet hauptsächlich in Lukács' "Geschichte und Klassenbewußtsein") auf das zu verschieben, was sich im konzeptuellen Zusammenhang des Marxismus wissenschaftlich bzw. streng materialistisch nicht einholen lässt und nichtsdestoweniger zu den Denkkonstellationen des Marxismus gehört. Das Andere wird hierfür als das Symbolische begriffen, welches im ersten Teil der Arbeit im Ausgang von Kants "Kritik der Urteilskraft" durch eine Reihe diskursive sowie phänomenologische Bestimmungen als eine solche Bildlichkeit erfasst wird, woran das Bildliche sich selbst überschreitet, und zwar in einem transzendierenden Vorgang. This thesis deals with the analysis of novels Die Erziehung des Mannes and Die Liebe der Väter. Introductory part analyzes the father role and the role of a man in today's world. Next section offers a brief summary of both novels. Afterwards we inspect the main protagonists and the narrative of the two stories. Both novels are written in first person narrative. The main protagonist is the narrator in both cases. The plot is told from male perspective, an important theme of both books is fatherly love. In the summary of the thesis we discuss whether these novels are Bildungsromans. In both books there is a journey motif present. There is some development in relationships and in the main characters as well. Úvodní část práce se zabývá rolí muže a otce v současném světě. Následuje představení obou románů. Poté se práce věnuje protagonistům románů a tomu, jakým způsobem je příběh vyprávěn. Oba romány jsou psané v Ich-formě, vypravěčem je hlavní hrdina. Děj je vyprávěn z mužské perspektivy, důležitým tématem obou děl je otcovská láska. V závěru se práce pokouší odpovědět na otázku, zda se jedná o vývojové romány. V obou románech se vyskytuje motiv cesty, dojde k vývoji vztahů i k proměně hlavního hrdiny. Němčina jako pluricentrický jazyk ve vzdělávacích kontextech

Thesis deals with question, how is pluricentricity of German taken in consideration in classes in the Czech Republic. The research consists in analysis of textbooks and analysis of the data, which were acquired through interviews and group discussions and questionnaire. The attitudes of teachers and pupils of high schools and elementary schools to pluricentricity are evaluated according to language management theory. The information about pluricentricity (predominantly from the lexicon) are transmitted in textbooks as well as in classes to the pupils in a disorganized way. The teachers accept austrian varieties if they recognize them as austrian lexemes, but the preference for the dominant variety is apparent and for didactical accounted. Tato diplomová práce se zabývá otázkou, jak je zohledněna pluricentričnost němčiny ve vyučování němčiny jako druhého cizího jazyka v České republice. Výzkum spočívá v analýze učebnic a analýze dat, která byla získání pomocí rozhovorů a skupinových rozhovorů. Postoje učitelů a žáků středních i základních škol k pluricentrismu jsou ohodnoceny v teoretickém rámci jazykového managementu. Informace týkající se pluricentrismu jsou v učebnicích i ze strany vyučujících předávány nesystematicky, nejčastěji jsou (pokud vůbec) tématizovány varianty v oblasti slovní zásoby. Učitelé akceptují rakouské varianty, pokud je jako rakouské lexémy rozpoznají, preference pro dominantní variantu je však zřetelná a obhajována jako odpovídající didaktickým principům.

The purpose of this thesis is to investigate unofficial ways that spread the ideas of right-wing- populism with focus on family, especially on mother as a primar mediator. In a background of a right-wing traditional family will be researched the psychological strategies, that populists use to involve the family through the children. One of those strategies are ideologically based summer camps, that raise the political and social thinking, that the children brought from their families. The impact of those strategies will be theoretically and practically analysed. Keywords right-wing populism, family influence, prejudices, education of children, role of a woman, closed societies Cílem práce je prozkoumat neoficiální cesty, kterými jsou rozšiřovány pravicově populistické myšlenky se zaměřením na rodinu a především matku, jako primárního zprostředkovatele. Na pozadí tradiční, pravicově smýšlející, rodiny budou zkoumány psychologické strategie díky kterým mají populisté skrze rodinu vliv na děti. K těmto strategiím patří kupříkladu jednoznačně ideologicky vyhraněné letní tábory, jež umocňují a posilují politické a sociální smýšlení, které si děti nesou z rodiny. This diploma thesis is focused on the analysis of German language equivalents of Czech proverbs in the dictionary of František Čermák Dictionary of Czech Phraseology and Idiomatics 4 (DCPI 4). The introductory part of the thesis characterizes proverbs as a phraseological unit and reflects the current state of Czech and German paremiography on the basis of selected dictionaries. Another theoretical starting point is the issue of equivalence, which in contrastive phraseology or, more precisely, paremiology plays an important role. The analytical part contains of multi-level analysis of German language equivalents of the Czech paremiological minimum in DPCI 4. Equivalents were verified using Hugo Siebenschein's Great Czech-German Dictionary, Duden 11, Hans Schemann's German Idiomatics, the corpuses InterCorp and DeReKo and the Google full-text search engine. The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the current state of German-language equivalents in DCPI 4 and offer possible suggestions for improvement. The chosen approach is therefore not only contemplative, but also constructive. Úvodní část práce charakterizuje přísloví jako frazeologickou jednotku a reflektuje současný stav české i německé paremiografie na základě vybraných slovníků. Dalším teoretickým východiskem je problematika ekvivalence, která v kontrastivní frazeologii, resp. paremiologii hraje důležitou roli. Analytická část sestává z několika úrovňové analýzy německojazyčných ekvivalentů českého paremiologického minima v SČFI 4. Ekvivalenty jsou ověřovány pomocí slovníků Velký česko-německý slovník Huga Siebenscheina, Duden 11 a Deutsche Idiomatik Hanse Schemanna, pomocí korpusů InterCorp a DeReKo a internetového fulltextového vyhledávače Google. Cílem práce je tak zhodnotit stávající stav německojazyčných ekvivalentů v SČFI 4 a nabídnout možné návrhy na zlepšení. Zvolený přístup je tedy nejen kontemplativní, ale i konstruktivní. The purpose of this thesis is an analysis of theatre and its scene in German Democratic Republic and Czechoslovakia in 1960's and its comparation. Best known theatres of the time will be investigated as well as the theatre movements. Particular findings will be exemplified by these two texts: Zahradní slavnost (Václav Havel) and Die Umsiedlerin (Heiner Müller). The main purpose of this thesis is to analyse the political impact on the theatre scene and dramas which arose at this period of ten years. Cílem práce je analýza divadla a divadelní scény 60. let v NDR a v Československu a její následná komparace. Zkoumána budou tehdy působící známá divadla, i tehdejší divadelní směry. Konkrétní poznatky pak budou doloženy na rozboru dvou vybraných textů: Zahradní slavnost (Václav Havel) a Die Umsiedlerin (Heiner Müller). Hlavním cílem práce je analyzovat dopad politické situace na tehdejší divadelní scénu a na dramatická díla, která v tomto desetiletí vznikla.

The present master's thesis investigates the epoché as a performance and experience and its connection with alterity. It aims to provide a description of the epoché in its processual or ex- ecutive dimension and thus to show the experience or the performance of the epoché in its existential depth dimension. This means to shed light onto the existential experience that un- derlies the epoché in order to examine the connection between the theoretical concept and the depth dimension of the experience. In order to accomplish this, the investigation develops its own method based on the eidetic variations of Edmund Husserl and the act of empathy of Edith Stein, which consists of the processual "passing through" six examples of the epoché. The ex- amples are: the epoché in ancient skepticism, the practice of Samatha and Vipassanā and the experience of awakening (bodhi) in Buddhism, the contemplation (Nachdenklichkeit) by Hans Blumenberg, the epoché of Edmund Husserl, the epoché of Natalie Depraz, Pierre Vermersch and Franciso Varela and the epoché of Hans Rainer Sepp. After going through these variants, preliminary invariants and thus a preliminary description of the performance of the epoché can be obtained. This reveals a close connection between the epoché and alterity. The investigation ends with a... Zusammenfassung Die vorliegende Masterarbeit untersucht die Epoché als Vollzug und Geschehen und deren Ver- bindung mit der Alterität. Sie hat zum Ziel eine Deskription der Epoché in ihrer prozessualen oder ausführenden Dimension zu liefern und so das Geschehen oder den Vollzug der Epoché in seiner existentiellen Tiefendimension aufzuweisen. Dies bedeutet die existentielle Erfahrung, die der Epoché zugrunde liegt, zu Tage zu fördern, um die Rückbindung des theoretischen Kon- zepts an die Tiefendimension des Erlebens des Geschehens oder Vollzugs zu untersuchen. Hier- für entwickelt die Untersuchung in Anlehnung an die eidetischen Variationen von Edmund Husserl und die Einfühlung nach Edith Stein eine eigene Methode, die aus dem prozesshaften Durchlaufen von sechs Beispielen der Epoché besteht. Am Ende des Prozesses ist es möglich, die Beispiele als Varianten der Epoché aufzuweisen. If one returns with patience to Levinas' own writings, one sees that Levinas used the term "utopia" in many of the crucial passages of his two major works - totality and infinity and Otherwise than Being or beyond essence - to convey some of his unique views. In this work, "utopia" is seen as a common thread, and I finally try to sketch a new picture of possible utopia by describing and analyzing the current state of human existence and mentality in today's society with the help of Levinas' thinking. Keywords: Utopia, Levinas, ethics, dialogue Zusammenfassung Wenn man mit Geduld zu Levinas' eigenen Schriften zurückkehrt, sieht man, dass Levinas an vielen der entscheidenden Stellen seiner beiden Hauptwerken den Begriff "Utopie" verwendet hat: Sowohl in Totalität und Unendlichkeit als auch in Jenseits des Seins und anders als Sein geschieht nutze er ihn, um einige seiner einzigartigen Ansichten zu vermitteln. Dieser Arbeit wird die "Utopie" als roter Faden dienen. Ich versuche, ein neues Bild der möglichen Utopie zu entwerfen, indem ich mithilfe des Denkens Levinas den gegenwärtigen Zustand der menschlichen Existenz und Mentalität in der heutigen Gesellschaft beschreibe und analysiere. Human perspectivity, furthermore progress in all it's categories (for example technical, social or ethical progress) and finally the decline of a culture, are the main emphasizes of this thesis. It will address the issues of what human perspectivity is about and how it behaves towards progress and a cultural-socially overall structure. In historical context, the evolution of progress is set in relation to the evolution of human perspectivity. After the explaining of these two components and the connection between them, lastly, using a concrete example with the perished Easter Island in the southern pacific, it will be shown, how and why civilizations go through certain stages like early culture, high culture and late culture. So the point of this thesis is, to show, how and why human civilizations come to an end and what we should learn from them. Aside from other factors (for example military conflicts with enemies from the outside, which can lead also to a disaster of a culture), in this thesis the focus is on a cultural-ecological research of a self-inflicted catastrophe. The thesis is completed with a proposed solution for the above mentioned problems to improve the relationship between man and his environment, especially the animal. Zusammenfassung Menschliche Perspektivität, desweiteren Fortschritt in all seinen Kategorien (bspw. technischer, gesellschaftlicher oder ethischer Fortschritt) und schlussendlich Niedergang einer Kultur, das sind die drei Schwerpunkte der hier verfassten Arbeit. Dabei geht es um die Fragen, was menschliche Perspektivität ist und wie sie sich zum Fortschritt und zu einem kulturell-gesellschaftlichen Gesamtgefüge verhält. Im historischen Kontext wird die Evolution des Fortschritts mit der Evolution der menschlichen Perspektivität in ein Verhältnis zueinander gesetzt. Nachdem diese beiden Komponenten erklärt und in Bezug zueinander gebracht wurden, soll zuletzt an einem konkreten Beispiel, der zu Grunde gegangenen Osterinselkultur im Südpazifik gezeigt werden, warum und auf welche Art und Weise eine Zivilisation bestimmte Stadien durchläuft, die mit Früh-, Hoch- und Spätkultur klassifiziert werden können. Der Sinn dieser Arbeit ist also, zu zeigen, warum und wie menschliche Zivilisationen an ein Ende kommen und was wir von diesen lernen sollten. (Deutsch) Diese Arbeit versucht sich unter Einbeziehung interkultureller Quellen im Dialog mit Julio Cortázars Erzählung "der Verfolger" [el perseguidor] an einer Verfolgung der Jagd. Sie hofft, mit dem Begriff der Jagd und seiner Ausdifferenzierung in verschiedene Modi fundamentale Bewegungsrichtungen der menschlichen Existenz zu beschreiben. Die menschliche Existenz kommt dabei als spannungsreiches Zwischen ("inter") von sinngetragener medialisierter Bezogenheit und außer-sinnhafter realer Faktizität in den Blick. Im Verlaufe der Arbeit werden anhand ausgewählter Szenen der Erzählung nicht nur die Spannung des Zwischen selbst, sondern auch seine Pole zum Gegenstand des philosophischen Fragens gemacht.
