Cílem smluvního výzkumu byla odborná analýza biologických vzorků se záměrem popsat morfologické znaky pro druhovou klasifikaci. Součástí spolupráce byla provedena chemická příprava vzorků, následovalo pozorování těl samotných hlístic v různých pozicích tak, aby bylo možné rozlišit jednotlivé morfologické znaky pomocí elektronového mikroskopu. The aim of the contract research was the expert analysis of biological samples with the intention of describing morphological features for species classification. As part of the collaboration, chemical preparation of the samples was carried out, followed by observation of the bodies of the nematodes themselves in different positions so that individual morphological characters could be distinguished using an electron microscope.

Cílem smluvního výzkumu byla odborná analýza mikrobiologických vzorků s biotechnologickým významem se záměrem popsat ultrastrukturu buněk, která se odvíjí od kultivačních podmínek průmyslového procesu. Součástí spolupráce byla provedena kryogenní příprava vzorků, následovalo mikrobů pomocí elektronového mikroskopu za nízkých teplot (cryo-SEM), vybrané vzorky byly zpracovány i pro transmisní elektronovou mikroskopii (TEM). Dále byla provedena spektroskopická měření pomocí Ramanovy spektroskopie. The aim of the contract research was the expert analysis of microbiological samples with biotechnological significance with the intention of describing the ultrastructure of the cells, which depends on the cultivation conditions of the industrial process. The collaboration included cryogenic preparation of samples, followed by microbial microscopy using low-temperature electron microscopy (cryo-SEM), and selected samples were processed for transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Furthermore, spectroscopic measurements were performed using Raman spectroscopy.

Střední úroveň řízení měniče FB-MMC s topologií Delta

Regulace modulárního vícehladinového měniče (Modular Multilevel Converter, MMC) je technicky podstatně komplikovanější, než měniče klasického, a to nejen kvůli velkému počtu jednotlivých buněk. Na rozdíl od klasického měniče se zde musíme zabývat další úrovní řízení, která představuje balancování napětí mezi větvemi měniče a řízení kruhových proudů uvnitř měniče. Ve zprávě je analyzována vhodná metoda a navržena regulační struktura pro balancování napětí mezi všemi třemi větvemi MMC v zapojení do trojúhelníku (Delta) s buňkami typu úplného můstku (Full H-bridge, FB). Následně byla ověřována činnost tohoto balancování pomocí počítačových simulací a praktických zkoušek na dvou fyzikálních modelech MMC pro sítě 400V a 6kV s implementovanou funkcí aktivního filtru. Control of a modular multilevel converter (MMC) is technically far more complicated than control of a standard 2-level converter. It is not only because of a great number of series-connected cells. For a MMC converter we need to cope with another control level (mentioned here as the middle-level control), which means balancing of voltages among MMC branches and the control of currents circulating inside this converter. For the Delta connected MMC with full H–bridge (FH) cells a convenient method for voltage balancing among all three MMC branches has been analysed and the appropriate control structure has been designed. Then the functionality of this balancing method has been verified using computer simulations and also tested with two MMC physical models operating as active power filters on 400V and 6kV grids.

Výzkumná zpráva popisuje výsledky seismologického monitoringu v Dole Jeroným v Čisté v roce 2023. Stručně jsou komentovány také hlavní výsledky monitorování geotechnických parametrů v podzemních prostorách pomocí distribuovaného měřicího systému, jmenovitě stabilita komory K1 a pohyb hladiny důlních vod. This research report describes results of seismological monitorning in the Jeroným Mine near Čistá in 2023. Main results from monitoring of geotechnical parameters using distributed measurement system are briefly presented, namely stability of chamber K1 and movement of mine water level.

Zpráva shrnuje výsledky optimalizačních testů chemické koagulace a elektrokoagulace jako doprovodné metody k membránové filtraci. Optimalizační testy byly provedeny s filtrovanou vodou po alkalizaci pomocí koagulačních (sklenicových) zkoušek, na jejichž základě byly nalezeny optimální reakční podmínky (dávka koagulačního činidla a hodnota pH). Vedle odstraňování nezkoagulovaného podílu rozpuštěných organických látek pomocí elektrokoagulace byly testovány i podmínky eliminace manganu. The report summarizes the results of chemical coagulation and electrocoagulation optimisation tests as integrated membrane filtration methods. Optimization tests were performed with filtered water after alkalinisation using jar tests, based on which optimal reaction conditions such as the dose of the coagulation agent and the pH value were found. In addition to removing the non-coagulated portion of dissolved organic substances using electrocoagulation, the conditions for eliminating manganese were also tested.

Tato zpráva popisuje práce zhotovené v druhém roce řešení veřejné zakázky Geologická a geotechnická charakterizace horninového prostředí – PVP Bukov II. Charakterizační a popisné práce přímo navazují na ražbu prostor pro budoucí podzemní laboratoř a zahrnují zejména: geologické a geotechnické dokumentace čeleb a stěn díla, petrografickou, mineralogickou a strukturně geologickou dokumentaci, hydrogeologickou charakterizaci prostředí, dále stanovení fyzikálně-mechanických vlastností horninového masivu in situ a v laboratoři, geofyzikální charakterizaci a monitoring seismických účinků trhacích prací a hydrogeologický monitoring. Důležitou součástí je příprava klasifikačního systému pro popis horninového masivu. Zpráva je doplněna stručným přehledem prací plánovaných pro třetí rok řešení projektu. This report describes the work carried out in the second year of the public contract Geological and geotechnical characterisation of the rock environment – PVP Bukov II. The\ncharacterisation and descriptive works are directly related to the excavation of the premises for the future underground laboratory. These include in particular: geological and geotechnical documentation of the faces and walls of the workings, petrographic, mineralogical and structural geological documentation, hydrogeological characterisation of the environment, as well as determination of the physical and mechanical properties of the rock mass in situ and in the laboratory, geophysical characterisation and monitoring of the seismic effects of blasting and hydrogeological monitoring. An important part of this report is preparation of the classification system used to describe the rock mass. The report also includes a brief overview of the work planned for the third year of the project.

Odborného posouzení se zabývá interpretací zlomů regionálního významu, posouzení jejich možné recentní aktivity a shrnutí zkušeností s napěťovými projevy v okolí hlavních kerných zlomů při hornické činnosti OKR v úrovni karbonského strukturního patra. Výsledek posouzení bude využit pro posouzení možného tektonického vlivu těchto struktur v oblasti Elektrárny Dětmarovice zejména v souvislosti s prováděnými geofyzikálními pracemi. Interpretace regionálních zlomů je provedena na základě znalostí geologické stavby karbonského strukturního patra a na základě zkušeností s napěťovými a deformačními projevy při vedení důlních děl. Odborné posouzení zohledňuje strukturně-tektonický vývoj a dnešní tektonické poměry pánve, které jsou podmíněny celkovým deformačním vývojem variského orogénu. Součástí práce je i souhrn nám známých dostupných pramenů a podkladů, které by mohly být užitečné pro geologické posouzení podloží a posouzení možných vlivů indukované seismicity v zájmové oblasti elektrárny Dětmarovice. The expert assessment deals the interpretation of regional faults, the assessment of their possible recent activity and summary of experiences with manifestation of stress in vicinity faults during OKR mining activity at the level of the Carboniferous structural floor. The results of the assessment will be used to assess the possible tectonic influence of faults in the area of the power plant Dětmarovice, especially in connection with the geophysical works. The interpretation of regional faults is based on knowledge of the geological structure of the Carboniferous structural level and on the basis of experience with stress and deformation manifestations during the drivage of mine excavations. The expert evaluation take into consideration the structural-tectonic development and tectonic conditions of the basin, which are conditioned by the overall deformational development of the Variscan orogen. There are also the summary of available technical documents, which could be useful for the geological assessment of the underlying bed and the assessment of the possible effects of induced seismicity in the interest area of power plant Dětmarovice.

Drivers of Private Equity Activity across Europe: An East-West Comparison

We investigate the key macroeconomic and institutional determinants of fundraising and investment activities and compare them across Europe, covering 13 Central and Eastern European (CEE) and 16 Western European (WE) countries. Five macroeconomic variables and nineteen institutional variables are selected. These variables are studied using panel data analysis with fixed effects and random effects models over an eleven-year observation period (2010–2020). Bayesian Model Averaging (BMA) is applied to select the key variables. Our results suggest that macroeconomic variables have no significant impact on fundraising and investment activity in either region. Investment activity is a significant driver of fundraising across Europe. Similarly, fundraising and divestment activity are significant drivers of investments across Europe. Institutional variables, however, affect fundraising and investment activity differently. While investment freedom has a significant effect on funds raised in the WE and CEE countries, government integrity and trade freedom are both significant determinants of investments in both European regions. In addition, the results demonstrate that, in contrast to the WE region, fundraising in the CEE region is not country specific.
