South Bohemian sacral architecture of the late Gothic 1450 - 1550 in the Rosenberg domain

Roman Lavička Skupina pozdně gotických kostelů vznikala na panství Rožmberků v době, kdy naší zemi vládla dynastie Jagellonců a dodnes budí zaslouženou pozornost. Nemnoho archivních zpráv, výsledky dendrochronologických analýz a zachované stavby napovídají, že v druhé polovině 15. století probíhala na rožmberském panství především běžná stavební údržba. Počátkem 80. let se chýlila ke konci stavba nového poutního kostela v Kájově (1471/1474-1485) a teprve tehdy se prakticky současně začínají přestavovat nebo znovu budovat velké městské farní kostely v Trhových Svinech, Dolním Dvořišti, Hořicích na Šumavě, Chvalšinách a Nových Hradech. Kolem roku 1485 se na rožmberském panství staví téměř dvě desítky církevních staveb. Odrážejí vzrůstající ekonomickou prosperitu a sebevědomí městských i venkovských obcí, korporací i jednotlivců, manifestujících vlastní bohatství, úspěch a sílu. Z formálního a ideového hlediska lze hned v této počáteční etapě vysledovat skupinu příbuzných staveb, které zřejmě navrhl jediný architekt, označovaný jako Mistr Hořického presbytáře. Někdy kolem roku 1495 však pozorujeme na několika stavbách zřetelný předěl a nové tvarosloví, což dokládá, že zmíněný mistr buď zemřel a nebo z nějakého důvodu opustil... Roman Lavička A group of late-Gothic churches, which keeps attracting our attention, was built in the Rosenberg domain during the reign of the Jagiellon dynasty. Limited archival material, results of dendrochronologic analyses and preserved buildings suggest that it was mainly building maintenance that was in progress in the Rosenberg domain in the second half of the 15th century. In the early 1480s the building of the new pilgrimage church in Kájov (1471/1474- 1485) was coming to its end. And it was only then that big town parish churches in Trhové Sviny, Dolní Dvořiště, Hořice na Šumavě, Chvalšiny and Nové Hrady started being rebuild or constructed anew almost simultaneously. Around 1485 almost twenty religious buildings were being built in the Rosenberg domain. They reflect the increasing economic prosperity and self-confidence of the town and village municipalities, corporations as well as individuals manifesting their wealth, success and strength. From a formal and ideological point of view it is possible to trace down a group of related buildings directly in this initial phase. They were probably designed by a single architect who is referred to as Master of Hořice presbytery. However, around 1495 we can... Living Things in the Science Education

2017 - Czech Current state-of-the-art in the use of living things in primary science education has not been studied in detail in the Czech Republic. This thesis presents the paper published a short time ago and accompanied by the brief commentary. The aim is to evaluate data gained by the video-research of thirty (integrated) science classes and to give an analysis of the use of living things in selected science units. The paper has a character of case study containing not very large amount of lessons but it enables to describe the use of living things in the framework of selected thematic units in which the use of living things is possible or expectable. Stav využívání přírodnin v konkrétních hodinách, situacích nebo tématech na 1. stupni ZŠ nebyl dosud detailněji popsán. Tato rigorózní práce se opírá o již publikovaný článek, jehož cílem bylo pomocí analýzy videozáznamu třiceti vyučovacích hodin prvouky a přírodovědy provést sondu zjišťující aktuální stav využívání přírodnin nebo jejich zprostředkované prezentace ve vybraných tematických celcích. Práce má charakter případové studie, která sice nepostihuje statisticky významnější vzorek vyučovacích hodin nebo konkrétních učitelů, avšak umožňuje hlouběji poznat problematiku využívání přírodnin ve vybraných tématech, kde by se využití reálných přírodnin dalo očekávat nebo předpokládat. Novel roles for the corpus allatum hormone in the cost of sexual interactions in the linden bug Pyrrhocoris apterus

2015 - Czech The decrease of lifespan by mating is a common, yet poorly understood occurrence. Juvenile hormone (JH) is widely believed to mediate shortened lifespan in insect, caused by mating. In this study we tested the role of JH in the linden bug (Pyrrhocoris apterus) by removal of the corpus allatum gland and thus the JH source. We then proceeded to study the lifespan of mated animals vs. virgin animals. Virgin animals without JH live longer as was expected. The effect on mated animals is however different between males and females. Surprisingly in females, JH seems to lower the cost of mating. In males, on the other hand, the cost of mating seems to be independent on JH levels. Another surprising conclusion is that the level of JH in females affects the lifespan of males that mate with such females.
