Katolická písňová propaganda v Českých zemích

2008 - German The Dissertation considers the Catholic song propaganda of the early modern times. Its research is based on Bohemian literate and musical sources. The basic methods of the song-propaganda were actually invented by Protestants. The Catholic reformers were able to react to its influence through their own song-propaganda (for instance Leisentrit and Jesuits) and modernized and developed their own new methods with just a minute delay. The song-propaganda was an outstanding device for indoctrinating common people anyway because of their analphabetism. The main attention was focused on persuasive methods used in the songpropaganda by Catholic missionaries. These methods can be classified as follows: The repetitive method was the simplest one based on a simple reproduction of fundamental Christian texts (Lord's Prayer, Credo, Ave), religious dogmas (purgatory, confession, communion) and ideological doctrines (singularity of the Catholic Church) in a musical form. It was mainly applied in the catechesis. The songs inspired by this method were mainly addressed to children and youth. The exemplary method gives either positive or negative example people should or should not follow. These songs narrated mostly a life of a exemplary saint. They were very popular among children and therefore applied in catechesis. A more... Předkládaná disertační práce se zabývá katolickou písňovou propagandou raného novověku (16. - 18. století). Pramennou bázi představují německo-jazyčné prameny hymnické a hymnografické povahy z Českých zemí, což se v tomto období týká nejen Čech a Moravy, ale i Lužice (především v 16. století) a Slezska. Cílem této práce je zachycení základních metodických přístupů konfesijní indoktrinace obyvatelstva prostřednictvím kancionálových a duchovních písní a zdokumentování jejich role během rekatolizace Českých zemí. Písňovou propagandu je ovšem třeba vnímat jako komplexní jev v kontextu nábožensko-politické situace, dobové literatury a a konkrétních rekatolizačních opatření. Důležitou součástí této práce je nastínění kontextu bohemikální německo-jazyčné hymnografie, který dosud nebyl v ucelené formě zpracován. Těžiště této literárněhistorické části leží na vývoji katolické kancionálové tvorby s časovým přesahem až do 20. století. Hlavní pozornost je v této disertaci věnována odhalení základních metod raně novověké písňové propagandy konfesijního charakteru. Za metodu konfesijní propagandy je považován princip komunikačního přístupu při tvorbě a aplikaci hymnických a hymnografických produktů. 2007 - German The dissertation considers the so-called crisis in language experienced by Germanspeaking intellectuals at the turn of the century. In particular, the dissertation thesis concentrates on Jewish writers and their attempt to understand the role translation plays in generating cultural meaning and racial identity. Authors such as Hugo von Hofmannsthal, Fritz Mauthner, Franz Kafka, and Walter Benjamin, all grappled with what they perceived as language's inability to express anything but contingent representations of empirical and social reality. This failure of language meant that one's native language was always already a translation of an unknown text from an inscrutable foreign language. Seizing upon the problematic, powerful role language plays in culturally, hegemonic formations, these authors challenged German anti-Semitism from within the material-linguistic basis of German anti-Semitism itself. At the same time, they constructed various conceptions of Jewish translations based on the impossibility of translations - a counter-hegemonic movement meant to decenter German as the lingua franca of culture. Concentrating on and complicating notions of the translatability of Yiddish into German and vice versa, German-speaking Jewish artists and intellectuals were able to put into question German's status as a... Dizertační práce se zabývá krizí jazyka na přelomu 19. a 20. století. Tuto krizi sleduje v textech autorů židovského původu a zvláště se soustředí na koncept překladu, který tito autoři chápou jako zásadní moment při utváření kulturní a etnické identity. Překlad se tak stává teoretickým modelem pro pochopení a umělecké zpracování této krize. Spisovatelé jako Hugo von Hofmannsthal, Fritz Mauthner, Franz Kafka a Walter Benjamin se potýkali s problémem, že jazyk není schopen postihnout hlubší filosofické souvislosti; místo toho nabízí pouze náhodnou reprezentaci empirické a sociální skutečnosti. Selhání jazyka proto znamenalo, že například rodný jazyk nemá žádnou podstatu, žádnou nezcizitelnou identitu, nýbrž je již sám o sobě překladem neznámého textu z cizího, nesrozumitelného jazyka. Jazyk je mocným nástrojem k udržení národních a kulturních celků. Tím, že autoři ukazují jeho sílu, ale zároveň i vysoce problematický charakter, vyzývají ideologické konstrukty jako německý antisemitismus zvnitřku, v samé lingvistické struktuře antisemitismu. Franz Kafka a Walter Benjamin vytvořili podobná pojetí překladu založená na nemožnosti překladu - pohyb proti hegemonickým strukturám moci, jenž měl popřít nacionalisticky chápanou němčinu jako kulturní lingua franca.
