Na vybraném vzorku byla metodou Focussed Ion Beam (FIB) analyzována struktura průřezu vzorku a dále bylo zdokumentováno prvkové složení v různých tloušťkách vrstvy metodou Energy-dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDS).\n Samples of protective layers based on DLC (Diamond-like-Carbon) on different substrates (test bodies and real components) were studied by several diagnostic methods.\nRaman spectroscopy was used for the detection of bindings in order to specify the structural variations, surface modifications both for as-deposited samples and particularly for samples that underwent different stress tests.\nScanning Electron Microscope (SEM) was used to examine the surface structure of layers in different locations on the sample and to search suitable test spots for the subsequent analysis by the Atomic Force Microscope (AFM). AFM in special modes was employed to measure the maps local mechanical properties (friction, tip adhesion, energy dissipation, etc.).\nOn a selected sample, the cross-sectional structure of the sample was analysed by the Focussed Ion Beam (FIB) and the elemental composition in various thicknesses was documented by the Energy-dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDS).\n Keywords: diamond like carbon layers; Raman spectroscopy; Atomic Force Microscopy; Scanning Electron Microscopy; Focussed Ion Beam; Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy Available at various institutes of the ASCR

Deformation behaviour of gellan gum based artificial bone structures under simulated physiological conditions
Krčmářová, N.; Šleichrt, J.; Fíla, Tomáš; Koudelka_ml., Petr; Kytýř, Daniel
2017 - English
The paper deals with investigation of deformation behaviour of gellan gum (GG) based\nstructures prepared for regenerative medicine purposes. Investigated material was synthesized as porous spongy-like scaffold reinforced by bioactive glass (BAG) nano-particles in different concentrations. Deformation behavior was obtained employing custom designed experimental setup. This device equipped with bioreactor chamber allows to test the delivered samples under simulated physiological conditions with controlled flow and temperature. Cylindrical samples were subjected to uniaxial quasi-static loading in tension and compression. Material properties of plain scaffold buffered by 50 wt% and 70 wt% BAG were derived from a set of tensile and compression tests. The results are represented in form of stress-strain curves calculated from the acquired force and displacement data. Keywords: gellan gum scaffold; reinforcement; uni-axial loading; simulated physiological conditions Available at various institutes of the ASCR

Nanopatterning of Silicon Nitride Membranes
Matějka, Milan; Krátký, Stanislav; Řiháček, Tomáš; Kolařík, Vladimír; Chlumská, Jana; Urbánek, Michal
2017 - English
Membranes are typically created by a thin silicon nitride (SIN) layer deposited on a silicon wafer. Both, top and bottom side of the wafer is covered by a thin layer of the silicon nitride. The principle of silicon nitride membranes preparation is based on the wet anisotropic etching of the bottom side of the silicon wafer with crystallographic orientation (100). While the basic procedure for the preparation of such membranes is well known, the nano patterning of thin membranes presents quite important challenges. This is partially due to the mechanical stress which is typically presented within such membranes. The resolution requirements of the\nmembrane patterning have gradually increased. Advanced lithographic techniques and etching procedures had to be developed. This paper summarizes theoretical aspects, technological issues and achieved results. The application potential of silicon nitride membranes as a base for multifunctional micro system (MMS) is also\ndiscussed. Keywords: e-beam writer; silicon nitride membranes; nano patterning; anisotropic etching Available at various institutes of the ASCR

Olanzapin patří do skupiny atypických antipsychotik a běžně se používá při terapii schizofrenie. Zaměřili jsme se na změny perfuze mozkové tkáně u zdravých a MAM upravených zvířat. Detekovali jsme významně nižší prokrvení mozkové kůry při akutních a chronických olanzapinem léčených zvířat. Olanzapine belongs to the first choice drug in treatment of schizophrenia. We focused on blood perfusion changes inducted by acute and chronic application of olanzapine in healthy animals and MAM altered animals. We detectet significant lower perfusion of cerebral cortex in acute and chronic olanzapine treated animals. We susspect that it could be due to altered neurotransmiter regulation caused by olanzapine. Keywords: olanzapine; ASL; MAM Available at various institutes of the ASCR

Overlapping domain decomposition preconditioners for elliptic and parabolic problems in primal and mixed form
Blaheta, Radim
2017 - English
In this lecture, we concern the numerical solution of PDE problems and describe overlapping domain decomposition, which provides a tool for the construction of parallelizable Schwarz type iterative solvers and preconditioners. The idea of using overlapping domain decomposition goes back to Schwarz alternating method from 1870, see [1]. The analysis of this alternating iterative method was evolved by great mathematicians, see e.g. S.L. Sobolev (1936), R. Courant and D. Hilbert (1937), S.G. Michlin (1951), M. Práger (1958), I. Babuška (1958), F.E. Browder (1958). The use of overlapping domain decomposition for parallel computations started in the late eighties in the work of M. Dryja and O. Widlund [4], P.L. Lions [5, 6], S. Nepomnyaschikh [7] and others and continue up to the present days. The origin of the alternating Schwarz method is nicely described in [8]. Keywords: preconditioners; Schwarz method; matrix Ma Fulltext is available at external website.

Parameter Optimization of Multi-Level Diffraction Gratings
Matějka, Milan; Kolařík, Vladimír; Horáček, Miroslav; Král, Stanislav
2017 - English
Originally, the e-beam lithography (EBL) is a technique for creating high-resolution black and white masks for the optical lithography. Multi-level relief structures can be also prepared using EBL patterning. Their preparation is based on the image patterning with a gradient of exposure doses. Large-area multi-level structures can be effectively prepared using the electron beam pattern generator with a variable shaped beam. We present several writing strategies. Basically, the main writing strategy uses one stamp (i.e. one elementary exposure of the shaped electron beam) per one elementary area with the same exposure dose. This simple approach is fast and flexible, however it does not guarantee optimal results. The main problem is an imperfection of the stamps (size, shape, and homogeneity). Advanced algorithms are based on multiple\nexposure of the same elementary area, the total local exposure dose is a sum of several different elementary exposures (stamps). Using these algorithms, a smoother surface of the structure can be achieved. On the other hand, the writing speed is considerably decreased. Tradeoff between the achieved parameters and the writing speed is discussed for selected set of writing strategy algorithms. On the boundary conditions in the numerical simulation of stably stratified fluids flows
Bodnár, Tomáš; Fraunié, P.
2017 - English
This paper presents the results of a numerical study of the stably stratified flow over a low smooth hill. The emphasize is on certain problems related to artificial boundary conditions used in the numerical simulations. The numerical results of three-dimensional simulations are shown for a range of Froude and Reynolds numbers in order to demonstrate the varying importance of these boundary issues in different flow regimes. The simulations were performed using the Boussinesq approximation model solved by a high-resolution numerical code. The in-house developed code is based on compact finite-difference discretization in space and Strong Stability Preserving Runge–Kutta time integration. Keywords: Boussinesq approximation; stable stratification; compact finite-difference Available on request at various institutes of the ASCR

Magnetic properties of 42CrMo4 steel
Bulín, T.; Švábenská, Eva; Hapla, Miroslav; Roupcová, Pavla; Ondrušek, C.; Schneeweiss, Oldřich
2017 - English
Low alloyed high-grade chrome-molybdenum ferritic steel was investigated from the point of views of magnetic properties in dependence on heat and mechanical treatment. This steel can be used as components of magnetic circuits or some parts in electrical equipment. The basic information on structure and phase composition was obtained by optical and scanning electron microscopy, X-ray Powder Diffraction and Mössbauer Spectroscopy. The temperature stability of the material was proved by measurements of temperature dependences of magnetic moment. The magnetic parameters were obtained by measuring of magnetic hysteresis loops in dependence on saturation field and their frequencies. The results are discussed from the point of view of possible applications as a magnetic material in the very extremely environment, where high mechanical stresses and elevated temperatures can occur. Keywords: Magnetic materials; magnetic properties; steel Available at various institutes of the ASCR
