2006 - English Prague Stochastics 2006,held in Prague from August 21 to 25, 2006, is an international scientific meeting that continues the tradition of organising Prague conferences on stochastics, established here five decades ago. Traditionally, the scope of the proceedings, as well as the conference itself, is quite extensive; the topics range from classical to very up-to date ones. It covers both methodological and applied statistics, theoretical and applied probability and, of course, topics from information theory. The printed part contains the plenary and invited papers, and the list of all contributions published in the volume. The CD disc, attached as an official part of the book with the same ISBN code, contains all accepted papers. Prague Stochastics 2006 , která se konala v Praze 21 – 25 srpna 2006, je mezinárodním vědeckým setkáním navazujícím na tradici pražských konferencí o stochastice, založené před padesáti roky. Tradičně je rozsah tohoto sborníku, stejně jako samotné konference, poměrně extenzívní, obsahuje témata od klasických až po zcela moderní. Pokrývá jak metodologickou tak aplikovanou statistiku, teoretickou i aplikovanou statistiku a, samozřejmě i témata z teorie informace. Tištěná část obsahuje plenární a zvané přednášky a seznam všech příspěvků ve sborníku. CD disk, přiložený jako oficiální část publikace se stejným ISBN kódem, obsahuje všechny přijaté články. 2005 - Czech Obecným cílem Centra je podstatným způsobem přispět k rozvoji teoretické, algoritmické a programové základny pro řešení řady problémů spjatých s rozhodováním ve složitých reálných situacích, zejména při rozhodování založeném na různých zdrojích a dat. Hlavní teoretické směry, ve kterých bude výzkum probíhat: 1) získávání a reprezentace znalostí, 2) rozhodování, 3) zpracování více-rozměných signálů a rozpoznávání obrazů, 4) soft computing a fuzzy modelování. Global aim of the Centre is to contribute substantially to development of a theoretical, algortihmic and software background for solution of real life problems, above all decision-making in complex situation based on different sources of knowledge and data. Determine the main theoretical areas of the research: 1) Knowledge acquisition and representation, 2) Decision-making, 3) Multidimensional signal processing and pattern recognition, 4) Sof somputing and fuzzy modelling.
