Youth subculture as interaction of youth and society
Likhachova, Sviatlana
2014 - English
Based on the results of a sociological study in the Mogilev Region, the state and development of youth subculture as a social phenomenon are considered. The reasons for involvement in subcultural associations, sources of information about them, the positive and negative effects of participation in youth subcultures are analyzed. In modern society, we have a situation of subcultural pluralism when society is a set of co-existing ethnic, professional, religious, territorial and youth subcultures, each of which has its own view of the world, including its own system of norms and values, attitudes, beliefs and interests. The study of youth subcultures gives usa deeper understanding of young people's subjectivity. Traditionally, young people are considered as a social resource of society, the object of socialization adopting the experience of older generations. However, some approaches pay attention to the process of integration into society through conflict. It allows youth to present values that do not coincide with the dominant culture. Keywords: youth subculture; subcultural trends; values and attitudes; non-formal group of youth; socialization; adaptation; integration to the society; norms; deviant behavior of youth Available in digital repository of UPCE.

Horváth, Csaba

Despite the fact that Hašek and Kafka lived in the same city, in the same era, and despite the influence each exercised on the course of European literature in the 20th century, reception of their works has gone in absolutely opposite directions. The lecture has two goals: the first is to show the parallel characteristics of the two authors; the second is to elaborate on how these two writers are incorporated into Hungarian literature: Hašek is considered as a representative of Czech humor; Kafka is seen as a writer of a prophetical influence on history. Keywords: Hašek; Kafka; irony; translation; comedy; Eastern European sense of humor; Wittgenstein; linguistic determinism; ironie; übersetzung; komödie; ost-europäischer humor; linguistischer determinismus Available in digital repository of UPCE.

Actions include modernisation in education, research and innovation. Special attention should be given to human resources management and doctoral training. European initiatives can act as a catalyst. Cultural and language features in Vietnamese: general and special cases of classifiers: “con” and “cái”
Minh Ha, Lo-Cicero
2014 - English
As far as cultural and language features in Vietnamese are concerned, I would like to touch upon the “règles d’exception” [rules of exceptions] “des sous-règles” [sub-rules] which account for a number of special cases that form a coherent and regular set. These rules of exceptions, limited in number, will be presented and classified by degrees of “exception” [degrés d’exceptionalité]. There are exceptions according to different degrees which are determined by a system more or less adapted to the language, in this case, the Vietnamese language. Vietnamese is a language with a system of classifiers. The complexity of the choice of classifiers is determined essentially by the form of the object and by the distinction between two worlds: animate and inanimate. I pay particular attention to the multifaceted usage of the two classifiers: “con” which generally represents the animate world, and “cái”, the inanimate one. Keywords: cultural; language features; Vietnamese; classifiers; con; animate world; cái; inanimate world; exceptions Available in digital repository of UPCE.
