2017 - Czech Zájem na ochraně přírody se v rozhodovacích procesech často ocitá v kolizi s jinými zájmy a hodnotami. Přiřazení určité hodnotě charakteru veřejného zájmu jí dává v případě těchto kolizí vyšší důležitost a legitimizuje její upřednostnění před jinými zájmy. Příspěvek se zabývá nejprve konceptem veřejného zájmu a způsoby řešení kolizí mezi různými zájmy v obecné rovině. Poté aplikuje tato obecná východiska na českou právní úpravu ochrany přírody a v ní zakotvená ustanovení o veřejném zájmu In the decision-making procedures, the interest in the protection of nature often collides with other interests and values. Declaring certain value to be in a public interest strengthens the position of that value and justifies its priority over other interests. This contribution focuses firstly on the concept of the public interest and the ways how collisions of competing interests are solved in general. Then it analyses the Czech legislation on natural protection and its provisions on the public interest. 2016 - Czech Přednáška byla zaměřena na vhodné termické metody pro získávání fosforu z čistírenských kalů. Ukázána byla jak vhodnost produkce biocharu z čistírenských kalů pomocí pyrolýzy, která je vhodná zejména pro menší ČOV, tak kombinace spalování čistírenského kalu s následnou recyklací fosforu z popela. Přednáška sumarizovala vyvíjené a dostupné technologie u nás i v zahraničí. Paper is focused on suitable methods of phosphorus recovery from sewage sludge. Pyrolysis of sewage sludge for biochar production seems to be perspective way for non-contaminated sewage sludge from small or medium size municipalities. Sewage sludge incineration with subsequent phosphorus recovery from sewage sludge ash can be suitable and effective solution for large cities. 2016 - English The problem of cosmological expansion on small scales (e.g., inside planetary systems) has a long history, dating back to the papers (McVittie, 1932, 1933), and quite many researchers dealt with this topic in the subsequent few decades. Although most of them concluded that the Hubble expansion should be strongly suppressed at small distances, there is no commonly-established criterion for such suppression at present. Aktuální environmentální hrozby a jejich impakt v krajině

2016 - Czech Workswhop Aktuální environmentální hrozby a jejich impact v krajině byl organizován v rámci Strategie Akademie Věd AV21, programu Přírodní hrozby. Tematicky byly zastoupeny jak přírodní hrozby (geologicko-geomorfologické hrozby - svahové deformace, eroze, hydrometeorologické extrémy - povodně, sucho, biologické invaze) a jejich hodnocení a predikce, tak i sociální i právní důsledky přírodních i aktivitami člověka vyvolaných hrozeb a jejich dopady v krajině (např. změny urbánního prostředí, antropogenní impakty v důlních oblastech). Významná byla témata zaměřená na hodnocení přírodních a environmentálních hrozeb a řešení vybraných mimořádných a krizových situací s využitím geoinformačních technologií. Workshop Current environmental threats and their impact on the landscape was organized in the framework of the Strategy AV21 of the Academy of Sciences, the program Natural threats.\nThe papers were oriented both on natural threats (geological and geomorphological threats - slope deformation, erosion, hydrometeorological extremes floods, droughs, biological invasions) and their evaluation and prediction, and social and legal implications of natural and human activities caused by threats and their impacts on the landscape (e. g. changes in the urban environment, anthropogenic impacts in the mining areas). 2016 - English Rural area was traditionally connected with agriculture. To compare with urban, rural areas were considered to be backward, retarded, not worthy of an intensive research. But \nthe situation has changed in the last time. Although cities are still centres of development in the globalization process, people in Europe leave them as a result of the \ntrends of suburbanization and counter - urbanization. We intend to pay our attention on transformation processes of the European countryside. We can focus on more processes occurring there: transformation from productive to non-productive, from central planned to the market oriented countryside, from the mono-functional to the multifunctional, from the national to \nEuropean and globalized. The urbanisation process shows more faces in European countryside. Such a transformation generates many impacts on natural, economic and social \nprocesses occurring in present European countryside.
