Lectin-like receptors can modulate the cytotoxic, regulatory and dendritic cell responses by their interactions. GN8 multivalent glycoconjugates are able to internalize inside and activate NKR-P1 positive cells inducing production of IFN-gamma and expression of CD69. The final effect is a modulation of anticancer immunity with reduction of cancer growth Interakce lektinových receptorů ovlivňuje imunitní odpověď cytotoxických, regulačních a dendritických buněk. Polymeric conjugate based on HPMA containing cytotoxic drug (doxorubicin) and human “non-specific” immunoglobulin has a significant anti-tumour effect and does not impair immune functions of the host. C57BL/6 mice with EL-4 lymphoma, when completely cured with the conjugate, were protected against the same tumour due to a specific anti-tumour immune reaction Polymerní konjugát na bázi HPMA s doxorubicinem a normálním lidským imunoglobulinem má významný protinádorový účinek. U myší C57BL/6 může úplně vyléčit syngenní lymfom EL-4. Léčba pravděpodobné přispívá ke stimulaci imunokompetentních buněk, takže vyléčení jedinci jsou po léčbě chráněni proti nádoru specifickou imunitní reakcí Keywords: polymeric conjugate; immunology; hpma Available at various institutes of the ASCR

2006 - English
We focused on comparison of the development and behaviour of S. cerevisiae strains overproducing various PDR transporters to those that have genes for some of them deleted. Besides a spectrum of physiological parameters, we analysed also expression changes of selected genes and measured reduced cytochrome spectra of these strains to find out the state of their respiration Zaměřili jsem se na vývoj a chování kmenů S. cerevisiae s nadprodukcí různých PDR transportérů a kmenů s jejich delecemi. The plastoskeleton protein FtsZ and chloroplast fission in green algae
Vítová, Milada; Hendrychová, Jana; Bišová, Kateřina
2006 - English
FtsZ protein, an ancestral homologue of eukaryotic tubulin, is the key effector in regulation of bacterial division. In plants, the FtsZ protein participates in chloroplast division. We have studied the chloroplast division in the green unicellular alga Scenedesmus quadricauda. To uncouple chloroplast and nucleocytoplasmic division cycles, we used 5-fluorodeooxyuridine (FdUrd). The amount and localization of FtsZ during the cell cycle was followed using immunoblotting and immunofluorescence staining on semi-thin sections. Antibody against FtsZ reacts with 49kD protein in Scenedesmus quadricauda and this protein is localized in chloroplast. The level of FtsZ protein increases during growth phase with maximum in time of chloroplast division. Localization of FtsZ protein is changing during the cell cycle, but we have not observed Z-ring, described in higher plants FtsZ protein, ancestrální homolog eukaryotického tubulinu, je klíčovým proteinem bakteriálního dělení. Lokalizace FtsZ proteinu se během buněčného cyklu mění, ale nepozorovali jsme Z-ring popsaný u vyšších rostlin Keywords: ftsz protein Available at various institutes of the ASCR
