2015 - Czech Oddělení laboratorního výzkumu geomateriálů Ústavu geoniky AV ČR pořádá Česko - polskou konferenci o geologii uhelných pánví od roku 1993. Letos se konala 10. jubilejní konference. Tradičně se jedná o setkání odborníků zejména z České republiky a Polska, kteří se zabývají vývojem a výzkumem uhelných ložisek, geologií uhelných pánví, tektonikou a uhelnou petrografií. S novými trendy ve využívání uhlí, jsou také prezentovány výsledky výzkumu v oblasti fyzikálních a chemických vlastností uhlí a uhelné hmoty, pyrolýzy a spalovacích procesů nebo sekvestrace CO2 do uhelných slojí. Department of Laboratory Research on Geomaterials of the Institute of Geonics AS CR has organized the Czech - Polish conference about geology of coal basins since 1993. This year the 10th jubilee of conference is held. Traditionally, at the conference meet experts especially from the Czech Republic and Poland, dealing with the development and research of coal deposits, geology of the coal basins, tectonics and coal petrography. However, with new trends in the use of coal, there are also presented the results of research in physical and chemical properties of coal and coal mass, pyrolysis and combustion processes or geosequestration of CO2 into coal seams. 2015 - English This volume comprises peer-reviewed papers that are based on invited lectures, survey lectures, short communications, and posters presented at the 17th seminar Programs and Algorithms of Numerical Mathematics (PANM) held in Dolní Maxov, Czech Republic, June 8–13, 2014. The seminar was organized by the Institute of Mathematics of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. It continued the previous seminars on mathematical software and numerical methods held (with only one exception) biannually in\nAlšovice, Bratříkov, Janov nad Nisou, Kořenov, Lázně Libverda, Dolní Maxov, and Prague in the period 1983–2012. The objective of this series of seminars is to provide a forum for presenting and discussing advanced topics in numerical analysis, singleor multi-processor applications of computational methods, and new approaches to mathematical modeling. 2015 - English Professors Ivo Babuška, Milan Práger, and Emil Vitásek are renowned experts in numerical analysis and computational methods. Their fruitful scientific careers started in Prague, at the Institute of Mathematics of the Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences (now Czech Academy of Sciences). They collaborated there on various projects including the computational analysis of the construction technology for Orlík Dam. In 1966 they published their joint book entitled Numerical Processes in Differential Equations. It is an honor for the Institute of Mathematics to host a conference on the occasion of their birthdays. Epigraphica & Sepulcralia VI. Fórum epigrafických a sepulkrálních studií

2015 - Czech Šestý svazek řady Epigraphica et Sepulcralia s koncepcí periodického fóra epigrafických a sepulkrálních studií a s úkolem mapovat současný stav bádání obou v reálné praxi úzce souvisejících disciplín - sepulkrálního bádání a středověké a novověké epigrafiky. Jednotlivá čísla vědomě vedle sebe staví příspěvky různého chronologického, tematického, disciplinárního a metodického záběru a příspěvky renomovaných českých a zahraničních badatelů společně s výběrem kvalitních příspěvků badatelů nastupující generace. Kromě příspěvků z 12. a 13. mezinárodního zasedání k problematice sepulkrálních památek v letech 2012 a 2013 tedy v předkládané publikaci nacházíme komplementárně další příspěvky výše uvedeného vymezení. A sixth volume in the series Epigraphica et Sepulcralia, with a concept as a periodical forum for epigraphic and sepulchral studies, and the aim of mapping out the current state of research in two disciplines that are in practice closely linked – sepulchral research and mediaeval and early modern epigraphy. It is intended that individual issues include deliberately articles with various chronological, thematic, disciplinary, and methodological approaches, and contributions by leading Czech and international researchers together with a selection of high-quality articles by researchers from the rising generation. In the current publication, therefore, in addition to the proceedings from the 12th and 13th international session on the issue of sepulchral monuments in 2012 and 2013, further complementary articles are to be found as outlined above. 2015 - Czech Hazardy a katastrofy - jak přírodní, tak i člověkem způsobené - mají široký dopad nejen na samotné přírodní prostředí, nýbrž způsobují i závažné ekonomické a sociální problémy. Příspěvky konference se věnují jak důsledkům rizikových jevů způsobených přírodou, ke kterým patří například extrémní dopady povodní a sesuvů půdy, tak riziky, která vznikají díky činnosti člověka, např. důsledků hornické činnosti. Hazards and disasters - both natural and man made - have a broad impact not only on the natural environment, but also cause serious economic and social problems. Conference papers are devoted to the consequences of risky phenomena caused by nature, which include the impact of extreme floods and landslides, and risks that arise due to human activities, eg. the consequences of mining activities.
