Bidding behavior when one bidder and the auctioneer are vertically integrated: illustrated by the partial deregulation of EU electricity markets

The paper is motivated by the current process of liberalization of the electricity market of the European Union (EU). Bidding behavior and outcomes of auctions is examined under condition when the privileged bidder, owns a part of the auctioneer. Práce je motivována současným procesem liberalizace trhu s elektřinou v Evropské unii. Licitační chování a výsledky aukcí jsou zkoumány za podmínek, kdy jeden privilegovaný licitátor vlastní část dražitele.

In this paper we extend the analysis of optimal monetary policy rules in terms of stability of the economy, started by Evans and Honkapohja (2003), to the case of heterogeneous learning. V této práci rozšiřujeme analýzu optimálních pravidel monetární politiky v podmínkách stability hospodářství, kterou započali Evans a Honkapohja (2003), na případ heterogenního učení.

A large econometric literature evaluates the effects of reform on economic performance. This paper tries to assess these efforts focusing on the experience of the transition economies. DSGE models are becoming widely used in research. In central bank research there is great interest in the ability of the models to adequately represent the data. Moreover, a natural question that arises is whether it is possible to recover reliable estimates of the parameters of the model from such data sets. DSGE modely se začínají ve velké míře používat ve výzkumu. Při výzkumu prováděném centrálními bankami je velký zájem , aby modely byly schopné adekvátně reprezentovat data. Navíc přirozeně vzniká otázka, zda je možné zrekonstruovat spolehlivé odhady parametrů modelu z těchto souborů dat.

Analýza pravděpodobnosti poruch na kabelech PRE

Soubor měření kabelů PILC za 5 let byl podroben moderním pravděpodobnostním analýzám "probit" a "přežití", založených na sestavení a odhadech parametrického pravděpodobnostního modelu poruch a umožňujících využít nejen všechny údaje ze souborů měření, ale i veškeré provozní informace o měřených kabelech. Tyto analýzy jednoznačně potvrdily správnost hodnocení stavu kabelů nejen podle výsledků diagnostiky, tj. maximálních hodnot ČV, jejich četnosti, iniciačního napětí, ale také na základě komplexní znalosti provozního stavu kabelů (konstrukce, rok uvedení do provozu, počet poruch, typ souborů, problémy trasy apod.). A set of measurements made on PILC cables during 5 years was submitted to modern probability analyses "broken down" and "survival" that are based on setting of and estimating by a parametric probability model of failures and that enable not only all the data from the sets of measurements but also all the operational information about the measured cables to be used. These analyses unambiguously proved the correctness of evaluating the state of the cables not only according to the results of the diagnostics, i.e. according to maxi-mum values of partial discharges, their frequency of occurrence and initiating voltage, but also based on a complex knowledge of the operational state of the cables (design, year of commissioning, number of failures, type of cable accessories, problems given by the route, etc.).
