Prezentace, dialog nebo "Verflechtung"? Formy komunikace v práci Goethe-Institutu na příkladu konceptu Themenraum

2024 - German This thesis explores the topic of German Foreign Cultural Work of the Goethe-Institut and aims to answer the question of whether, in accordance with the latest Foreign Office conception from 2011 and the general trend of "normalization" in German foreign policy, it tends to focus more on pursuing national interest and unilateral presentation, rather than on equal dialogue. The study first investigates this question based on available secondary and primary sources on foreign cultural policy and subsequently describes the latest trends in the communication of the Goethe-Institut. The second part of the thesis is a case study, illustrating the use of three forms of communication (presentation, dialogue, and interconnection) in the work of the Goethe-Institut, exemplified by the implementation of the Themenraum concept (theme space) that has been in use since 2016 in five Goethe- Instituts (in Prague, Warsaw, Bratislava, New York, and Riga). Interviews with employees of these institutes, their websites, and internal materials on Themenraum were analysed. These examples demonstrates that in the work of the Goethe-Institut, all these three communication formats are typically found to complement each other and form a functional whole. Tato diplomová práce se věnuje tématu německé zahraniční kulturní práce Goethe-Institutu a klade si otázku, zda se v souladu s poslední koncepcí ministerstva zahraničí z roku 2011 a obecným trendem "normalizace" v německé zahraniční politice více soustředí na sledování národního zájmu a jednostrannou prezentaci, spíše než na rovnocenný dialog. Práce tuto otázku zkoumá nejprve na základě dostupných sekundárních i primárních zdrojů k zahraniční kulturní politice a následně popisuje nejnovější trendy v komunikaci Goethe- Institutu. Druhá část práce je případovou studií, kde je použití tří forem komunikace (prezentace, dialog a propojení) v práci Goethe-Institutu ilustrováno na příkladu implementace konceptu Themenraum (tematický prostor) od roku 2016 do současnosti v pěti Goethe-Institutech (v Praze, Varšavě, Bratislavě, New Yorku a Rize). Analyzovány byly rozhovory se zaměstnanci těchto institutů, jejich webové stránky i některé interní materiály k Themenraum. Na tomto příkladě je ukázáno, že v práci Goethe-Institutu můžeme najít zpravidla všechny tyto formáty, které se navzájem doplňují a společně tvoří funkční celek. Germanismy v románu Konec punku v Helsinkách od Jaroslava Rudiše

2024 - German This thesis analyzes the Germanisms in Rudiš's novel "The End of Punk in Helsinki". The aim is to describe the individual Germanisms in terms of their function in the text, their comprehensibility, and the subjective perception of their use in contemporary Czech. Subsequently, some Germanisms were also analyzed in the Czech language corpus InterCorp and SYN, whereby their frequency and the stylistic markers found in the dictionaries were verified. The analysis and the corpus research showed in most cases the correspondence of the stylistic markers found in the dictionaries with those in the novel or the corpus, as well as stylistic effects that, among others, contribute to a closer characterization of the speaker from the regional or social point of view. Tato práce se zabývá analýzou germanismů nalezených v Rudišově románu "Konec punku v Helsinkách". Cílem bylo popsat jednotlivé germanismy z hlediska jejich funkce v textu, srozumitelnosti a subjektivnímu vnímání užití v dnešní češtině. Následně byly vybrané germanismy zkoumány i v českém jazykovém korpusu InterCorp, příp. SYN, kde byla ověřena jejich četnost výskytu a přiřazení stylových příznaků nalezených ve slovnících. Analýzou i rešerší v korpusu byla ve většině případů doložena shoda stylových příznaků uvedených ve slovnících s těmi v románu či korpusu, stejně tak jako stylistických efektů, které mj. dopomáhají k bližší charakteristice mluvčího z hlediska regionálního či sociálního. 2024 - German Crisis is a key moment not only within a literary work, but also in the development of society and the individual. Literature not only draws on societal crises - such as the period just before the outbreak of the First World War - thematically, but also as a kind of kaleidoscope of human stories and fates in which other crises, seemingly minor but no less important for literature, take place. The aim of this thesis is to analyse and interpret in a literary-historical context the depiction of personal (among others religious, personal-character) crisis and social (political and social) crisis in the novel Kaiserwetter (1931) by Karl Jakob Hirsch. It is the intertwining of "small" personal crises with the crisis of the community as a whole that is one of the most important motifs of this novel and the basis for one of its possible relevant interpretations. The paper will first briefly introduce the author and attempt to characterize his work. In the theoretical part I will then focus on the applicable definitions of the concept of crisis (based mainly on the notion of the German historian R. Koselleck) that can be applied in the interpretation of the literary work. Subsequently, the thesis will deal with partial aspects of the thematization of the crisis (on the example of three characters in the... Krize je klíčový moment nejen v rámci literárního díla, ale i ve vývoji společnosti a jednotlivce. Literatura z celospolečenských krizí - jako je např. období těsně před vypuknutím první světové války - čerpá nejen tematicky, nýbrž je také jakýmsi kaleidoskopem lidských příběhů a osudů, v nichž probíhají další krize, zdánlivě menší, avšak pro literaturu neméně důležité. Cílem této práce je analyzovat a v literárněhistorickém kontextu interpretovat znázornění osobní (mj. náboženské, osobnostně-charakterové) krize a společenské (politické i sociální) krize v románu Císařské počasí (orig. Kaiserwetter 1931, česky 1976) Karla Jakoba Hirsche. Právě prolínání "malých" osobních krizí s krizí společenství jako celku je jedním z nejdůležitějších motivů tohoto románu a základem pro jednu z jeho možných relevantních interpretací. Práce nejprve stručně představí osobu autora a pokusí se charakterizovat jeho dílo. V teoretické části se poté zaměřím na použitelné definice pojmu krize (vycházející zejména z pojetí německého historika R. Kosellecka), které lze uplatnit v interpretaci literárního díla. Následně se práce bude zabývat dílčími aspekty tematizace krize (na příkladu tří postav románu) v ději ústícím do počátku první světové války. Práce přitom zohlední také způsob znázornění a jazyk Hirschova románu. 2024 - German This bachelor thesis deals with the figures of Mother Hulda (Frau Holle) and Rübezahl, who appear in numerous stories and who are commonly associated with certain natural phenomena. The connection of the two creatures with nature is explored based on legends and fairy tales. The depiction of various character traits and features primally serves to pursue the question of the figuration of nature by the two beings. To this end, two specific texts - the Frau Holle fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm and Benedikte Naubert's Rübezahl story - are subjected to closer scrutiny, which leads to the comparison of the two characters, with the emphasis on the description and perception of both figures. The ambivalence of the two creatures is also focused on in this context. Furthermore, theories on their origins are outlined with regard to the 19th century interpretations about the mythological background of the characters and their development from negatively to positively perceived figures. Předkládaná bakalářská práce se zabývá tematikou postav Paní Zimy (Frau Holle) a Krakonoše (Rybrcoula), které se objevují v mnoha vyprávěních a obecně bývají spojovány s určitými přírodními jevy. Souvislost obou bytostí s přírodou je posuzována na základě pověstí a pohádek, přičemž výklad jejich charakteristických rysů a atributů přednostně slouží ke zkoumání otázky figurace přírody skrze jmenované postavy. Za tímto účelem jsou podrobeny důkladnější analýze dva konkrétní texty - pohádka Paní Zima od bratří Grimmů a vyprávění o Krakonošovi Benedikty Naubertové; rozbor se soustředí zejména na ztvárnění a interpretaci obou postav, která nakonec vyústí v jejich komparaci. V kontextu práce je věnována pozornost dvojznačnosti obou stvoření. Dále jsou nastíněny teorie vzniku obou bytostí s ohledem na výklady o mytologickém původu vycházející z 19. století, jakož i jejich vývoj od záporně ke kladně vnímaným postavám. The aim of the study is to analyze and understand the factors influencing the choice between these grammatical tenses and to examine how this interchangeability can affect the comprehension and interpretation of communication. The thesis is grounded in a theoretical framework of linguistics, applying it to real examples from authentic texts. The research also includes an analysis of the perception of politeness in connection with the choice between these tenses. The results of this work may contribute not only to the academic field of linguistics but also to the teaching of German and understanding language nuances in communicative practice. Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na problematiku záměnnosti préterita a perfekta v německém jazyce. 2024 - German Attention, though it is an important part of the human psyche, is a topic that is only relatively rarely thematized within fictional literature, especially when compared to related topics such as memory or emotion. This bachelor thesis aims to examine the depiction of attention in the 2020 book Die Unschärfe der Welt by Iris Wolff and what role it plays in it. For this purpose, a basic interdisciplinary definition of attention is established, followed by an analysis of the characters, the plot, and the style of the book and the role that attention plays in each of these aspects, with special emphasis being put on the various polarities that are present within the book. Pozornost, ačkoli je důležitou součástí lidské mysli, je tématem, které je v beletristické literatuře tematizováno jen poměrně zřídka, zejména ve srovnání s příbuznými tématy, jako jsou paměť nebo emoce. Cílem předložené bakalářské práce je prozkoumat, jak je pozornost zobrazena v knize Iris Wolffové Die Unschärfe der Welt z roku 2020 a jakou roli v knize tato tématika hraje. Pro tento účel je nejdříve stanovena základní interdisciplinární definice pozornosti, po čemž následuje analýza postav, děje a stylu knihy a role, kterou pozornost v každém z těchto aspektů hraje, přičemž zvláštní důraz je kladen na různé polarity, které jsou v díle přítomné. Recepce E. E. Kische v NDR a Československu v 50. a 60. letech 20. století The Reception of Egon Erwin Kisch in the GDR and Czechoslovakia in the 1950s and 1960s

2024 - German Egon Erwin Kisch was not only a well-known journalist and writer, but he also profiled himself as a communist. This bachelor thesis explores what the reception of his works looked like in Czechoslovakia and the GDR in the 1950s and 1960s, and how the reception in these two socialist states differed from each other. With regard to the cultural and political historical developments in the 1950s and 1960s, paratexts such as prefaces and afterwords of editions of Kisch's works, newspaper articles and newspaper references of Kisch, as well as research on Kisch and his texts are thus analyzed. Through this analysis, this thesis shows that the political situation in Czechoslovakia and the GDR significantly influenced Kisch's reception. While Kisch was celebrated in both countries in the 1950s as the ideal socialist author, in the 1960s in Czechoslovakia such perceptions changed and the previous reception of Kisch was criticized. In comparison, interest in Kisch declined in the GDR in the 1960s. This thesis thus highlights the nuances in the cultural politics of the two socialist states and demonstrates how political situations are reflected in the reception of individual authors and their works. Egon Erwin Kisch byl nejen novinářem a spisovatelem, ale profiloval se také jako komunista. Tato bakalářská práce zkoumá, jak vypadala recepce jeho děl v 50. a 60. letech 20. století v Československu a v NDR a jak se recepce v těchto dvou socialistických státech od sebe lišila. S ohledem na kulturněpolitický historický vývoj v 50. a v 60. letech jsou tak analyzovány paratexty jako předmluvy a doslovy jednotlivých vydání Kischových děl, novinové články a zmínky o Kischovi a také badatelská činnost týkající se Kische a jeho textů. Prostřednictvím této analýzy práce ukazuje, že politická situace v Československu a NDR významně ovlivňovala Kischovu recepci. Zatímco byl Kisch v obou zemích v 50. letech oslavován jako ideální socialistický autor, v 60. letech dochází v Československu k proměně takového vnímání a předchozí recepce Kische je kritizována. Oproti tomu v NDR o Kische v 60. letech upadá zájem. Tato bakalářská práce tak poukazuje na nuance v oblasti kulturní politiky dvou socialistických států a zároveň demonstruje, jak se politické situace promítají v recepci jednotlivých autorů a jejich děl. The concept of catastrophe is inevitably associated with this event, whereby the history of the term catastrophe shows a great variety of uses. The aim of this study is to examine the extent to which the representation of catastrophe in the text corresponds not only to the usage variant in the sense of a real, extremely negative event, which can be ascribed a 'glocal' meaning in the globalised world, but also to the usage variant in the sense of a neutral term from drama theory, which signals a decisive turning point or caesura in the plot. The first usage variant is analysed with regard to the dimensions of contemporary catastrophes - cognitive, medial, social, cultural, aesthetic, literary - both at the level of the characters and at the level of the narrative structure and style. (v českém jazyce) Dílo Kathariny Hacker Die Habenichtse (Necitové), vydané v roce 2006, je součástí korpusu literatury, která se zabývá 11. zářím 2001. Pojem katastrofa je s touto událostí nevyhnutelně spojen, přičemž historie pojmu katastrofa vykazuje velké množství variant užití. Cílem této práce je prozkoumat, do jaké míry zobrazení katastrofy v textu odpovídá nejen variantě užití ve smyslu skutečné, krajně negativní události, jíž lze v globalizovaném světě přisoudit "glokální" význam, ale také variantě užití ve smyslu neutrálního pojmu z teorie dramatu, který signalizuje rozhodující zlom či cézuru v ději. První varianta užití je analyzována s ohledem na dimenze současných katastrof - kognitivní, mediální, sociální, kulturní, estetickou, literární - jak na úrovni postav, tak na úrovni struktury a stylu vyprávění.
