2022 - English Anotace Bakalářská práce se zabývá historií korejského filmu na pozadí socio-politických změn. Za pomocí historického kontextu přiblížuje vnější i vnitřní vlivy které utvářely jeho vývoj. Text shrne dobu japonské okupace, korejské války a turbulentní období druhé poloviny dvacátých let za účelem hlubšího porozumění jaký vliv tyto události měly na korejskou společnost, a filmy které v těchto dobách vznikly. Prozkoumává také přelom tisíciletí a změny které měly za výsledek popularitu kterou Korea zažívá dnes. Za pomocí interpretací představených filmů také analyzuje vztah korejské společností s vlastní historií a jak se tato dynamika skrze desetiletí měnila. Kombinací těchto faktorů se pokouší dosáhnout komplexnější představy o fungování soudobé korejské kinematografie. This bachelor's thesis deals with the history of Korean cinema against the background of socio-political changes. With the help of the historical context, it describes the external and internal influences that shaped its development. The text summarizes the period of the Japanese occupation, the Korean War and the turbulent period of the second half of the twenties in order to gain a deeper understanding of the impact these events had on Korean society, and the films that were created during these times. It then explores the turn of the millennium and the changes that resulted in the popularity that Korea experiences today. It also analyzes Korean Society's relationship with its own history and how this dynamic has changed over the decades through interpretations of the films presented. By combining these factors, it achieves a more comprehensive idea of the functioning of contemporary Korean cinema. Neurální habituace statických reklam v homo- a heterogenním video-prostředí.

2022 - English Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na teroretické rozpracování a empirický výzkum na téma habituace a percepce statických reklam v kyberprostředí během prohlížení videí. Teoretická část obsahuje souhrn teorie a výzkumu habituace, percepce reklam a vizuální percepce, také teoretický základ elektroencefalografie. Praktická část popisuje záměr, design, implementaci, výsledky výzkumu a jejich diskuzi. Mezisubjektový design výzkumu je vytvořen za účelem napodobit reálný kyberprostor, kde se reklamy se stávájí šumem a distrakcí pro uživatele internetu. Cílem výzkumu je na základě sledování biologických signálů (s použitím elektroencefalografie) změřit habituaci mozku na opakované objevení reklam během prohlížení edukačních videí čili určit, jak se mozek učí zvykat/reagovat na reklamní podněty během prohlížení edukačních videí a jestli existuje rozdíl v mozkové reakci na homo- a heterogenní reklamní podněty. Nové experimentální paradigma bylo vytvořeno pro tento výzkum. Výzkumu se zúčastnilo 18 participantů, náhodně rozdělených do tří skupin: dvou experimentálních a jedné kontrolní skupiny. Do závěrečné analýzy se dostalo 15 participantů, s ohledem na technické nedostatky. Analýza byla provedená pomocí evokovaných potecniálů a dvou druhů spektrální analýzy. Výsledky poukazují na to, že homogenní reklamy míň narušují plynulost percepce prohlížejícího videa, než heterogenní, ale můžou vyžadovat výraznější diferenciaci. This bachelor thesis focuses on theoretical elaboration and empirical research of the topic of habituation and perception of static advertisements in the cyberspace during video perception. The theoretical part contains a summary of the theory and research of habituation, perception of advertisements, and visual perception, as well as the theoretical basis of electroencephalography. The empirical part describes the intention, design, implementation, results of the research and their discussion. The between-subject experimental design is constructed to mimic real cyberspace, where advertisements become noise and distractions to the Internet users. The study aims to measure the brain's habituation response to repeated advertisement presentation while viewing educational videos based on following biophysical signals (using electroencephalography), i.e., to determine how the brain learns to get used to or respond to advertising stimuli during educational video streaming and whether there is a difference in brain reaction to homo- and heterogeneous advertising stimuli. A new experimental paradigm was created for this research. 18 participants took part in the research, randomly divided into three groups: two experimental groups and one control group. 15 participants' data proceeded to the final analysis, due to technical deficiencies of signal processing. The analysis was performed using the following EEG methods: Event-Related Potentials, Event-Related Spectral Perturbation, and Power Spectral Analysis. The results indicate that homogeneous advertisements are less disruptive to the fluency of perception of the video viewer than heterogeneous ones, but may require more prominent differentiation. The bachelor´s thesis deals with the history of the United Kingdom in reponse to Stuart Laycock´s claims that the United Kingdom, or its parts, have in history invaded 90% ofexisting countries. The theoretical part of the thesis defines the methodology for determining which military operations can be classified as invasions and which cannot. The practical part describes the situation in individual countries and the reason for their calssification as invaded, or uninvaded. 2022 - English Bakalářská práce se zabývá dvěma významnými historickými událostmi oslavujícími britské úspěchy v oblasti hospodářství, techniky, vědy a kultury - Světové výstavy v roce 1851 a národní výstavy Festival of Britain (1951) - z hlediska vnímání britské národní identity a idey "britství" (Britishness). První část práce seznámí čtenáře s oběma událostmi, včetně důvodů, jež vedly k jejich konání, jejich průběhu, výsledků a soudobého vnímání veřejností. Hlavní komparačně-analytická část práce tkví v porovnání způsobů vytváření a prezentace specifického obrazu britského národa a prosazování britské národní identity v souvislosti se zkoumanými událostmi. Výstupem srovnávací analýzy je podchycení vztahu mezi oběma výstavami a souvisejícího politicko-kulturního posunu ve vnímání britské národní identity. The bachelor thesis deals with two major historical events designed to celebrate British economy, engineering, and scientific and cultural achievements - the Great Exhibition of 1851 and Festival of Britain (1951) - from the perspective of national identity and the notion of Britishness. The first part of the thesis introduces both events, including the reasons leading to their realisation, their courses, impacts and the contemporary public responses. The main comparative-analytical part focuses on the ways of generating and representing a specific image of the British nation and forging British national identity. The comparative analysis is aimed at the identification of the relationship between the two events and the related political-cultural shifts in understanding British national identity. Většina autorů pochází ze severu, stejně jako Ambrose Bierce, který za boj na straně Unie získal vyznamenání. Budou zkoumány a analyzovány jak zkušenosti vojáku, tak dopad na celou společnost (manželky a děti vojáků, otroci jihu, civilní obyvatelstvo atd.). Úvod bude obsahovat přehled samotné občanské války se zvláštním důrazem na historické události zobrazené v analyzované fikci. This bachelor thesis will explore through literary fiction (specifically the genre of the short story) the history of the Civil War in the United States (1861-1865). The majority of the authors come from the north, and in the case of Ambrose Bierce, one served with distinction in combat for the Union forces. Both the experience of soldiers as well as the effect on the country (wives and children of soldiers, the slaves in the south, the civilian population etc.) will be examined and analyzed. The introduction will include an overview of the Civil War itself, with particular emphasis on the historical events depicted in the fiction under analysis. 2022 - English V teoretické části své bakalářské práce nejprve vysvětluji klíčový pojem "vzkříšení", a to jak v křesťanském, tak pohanském kontextu. Dále se zabývám Tolkienovou esejí "O pohádkách", ve které, mimo jiné, pojednává o hlavních funkcích pohádky, kterými jsou podle něj obnova, útěk a útěcha. Poté svou pozornost věnuji přechodovým rituálům, které souvisí s životem, smrtí a vzkříšením. V praktické části se věnuji analýze jednotlivých klasických pohádek v kontextu poznatků z první části práce. At first, in the theoretical part of my bachelor's work, I explain the key concept of "resurrection" in both Christian and pagan contexts. Further, I occupy myself with Tolkien's essay "On Fairy-Stories", in which he, besides other things, deals with the main functions of fairy tales, which are recovery, escape and consolation. Afterwards, I pay attention to the rites of passage, related to life, death, and resurrection. In the practical part, I devote myself to the analysis of classical fairy tales in the context of the knowledge acquired in the first part of the work. 2022 - English Tato práce nejprve podává historický přehled o zacházení s černochy na Jihu po občanské válce a nastiňuje životopisy dvou afroamerických spisovatelů, George S. Schuylera (1895-1977) a Williama Melvina Kelleyho (1937-2017). Po stručném shrnutí satiry obecně tato práce analyzuje dva romány s rasovou satirou od obou výše zmíněných spisovatelů, Black No More a A Different Drummer. This thesis first overviews the treatment of Black people after the Civil War in the South historically, and outlines the biographies of the two African American novelists, George S. Schuyler (1895-1977) and William Melvin Kelley (1937-2017). Following a quick summary of satire generally, this thesis analyses two novels of racial satire from the two aforementioned writers, \textit{Black No More} and \textit{A Different Drummer} respectively.
