This study is aimed at verification of influence of hydroxyapatite/tri-calcium phosphate nano/micro particles additives, commonly used to improve the bioactivity of implants, on mechanical properties of composite material consisting of polyamide fabrics embedded in poly (dimethyl siloxane) matrix potentially applicable in the bone surgery. Tento příspěvek pojednává o ověření vlivu nano/mikro aditiv hydroxyapatitu a fosforečnanu vápenatého, které jsou běžně používané ke zlepšení bioaktivity implantátů, na mechanické vlastnosti kompozitních materiálů tvořených Aramidovými vlákny a polysiloxanovou matricí, a jsou potenciálně využitelné v kostní chirurgii.

Hydrogen - the product of coal thermal conversion

Hydrogen fixed in the coal structure was converted to gaseous form using two-stage pyrolysis. The hydrogen volume in the pyrolytical gas strong increased along with the temperature in the cracking module. There was verified the possibility to obtain hydrogen by thermal decomposition of coal pyrolysis volatile products. Vodík vázaný ve struktuře uhlí byl získán v plynné formě pomocí dvoustupňové pyrolýzy. Objem vodíku v pyrolyzním plynu strmě rostl souběžně se zvyšující se teplotou ve štěpném modulu. Byla ověřena možnost získat vodík termickou degradací těkavých produktů z pyrolýzy uhlí.

Porous composites based on siloxane resin for hard tissue replacements

A composite material based on polysiloxane and first on glass fabrics was prepared. The composite samples were prepared with controlled open porosity, the sizes of which were in the range: i) 0,2-0,4 mm, ii) 0,4-0,6 mm, and iii) >0,6 mm. For further improvement of osseointegration, a powder hydroxyapatite, particle size of 0,005 mm in the amount of 10 wgt %. The effects of surface treatment and hydroxyapatite matrix additives on osseointegration were studied by methods in vitro and in vivo.

Samples of brown coal mixed with real organic wastes were gasified in a laboratory model gasification unit, using steam and carbon dioxide for gasification. The co-gasification possibility of brown coal/waste tires mixtures at industrial scale was verified. Směsné vzorky hnědého uhlí s reálnými organickými odpady byly zplyňovány v laboratorní modelové zplyňovací jednotce pomocí vodní páry a oxidu uhličitého.
