2024 - Czech Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na zkoumání výživových zvyklostí a sebepojetím u aktivně sportujících dívek. Teoretická část se zabývá výživou, teorií specifických výživových potřeb u sportovců a popisuje vybrané faktory, které mají vliv na vnímání vlastního těla u těchto dívek. Mezi tyto faktory jsou zahrnuty výživové návyky, rodinné zázemí, aktivita dívek na sociálních médiích a sebehodnotící jídelní psychopatologie. Diplomová práce má za cíl zjistit potencionální výskyt poruch příjmu potravy v souvislosti s výše zmíněnými faktory. Praktická část je koncipována jako kvantitativní dotazníková studie. This thesis focuses on the investigation of nutritional habits and self-concept in active sporting girls. The theoretical part deals with nutrition, the theory of specific nutritional needs in sportsgirls and describes selected factors that influence the perception of their own body by these girls. These factors include nutritional habits, family background, girls' social media activity, and self-bodyimage. This thesis aims to determine the potential occurrence of eating disorders in relation to the mentioned factors. The practical part is designed as a quantitative survey study. Oligomerization state and pigment contents of algal light-harvesting proteins

2023 - English Light-harvesting antennas (LHCs) from four microalgae species (diatom Phaeodactylum tricornutum, haptophyte Emiliania huxleyi, and two eustigmatophytes Nannochloropsis oceanica and Trachydiscus minutus) were studied. LHCs were extracted and purified using sucrose gradient ultracentrifugation and ion-exchange chromatography. Oligomerization states of LHCs were assessed using two independent methods - CN-PAGE and size-exclusion chromatography. Effects of the purification on LHC pigment composition was assessed using HPLC. Hranice demokracie jako výzva ve výuce občanské výchovy

2023 - Czech Diplomová práce je věnována didaktické transformaci politologického tématu hranic demokracie aplikované ve výuce výchovy k občanství (VkO). Obsahuje teoretickou (politologickou) a praktickou (didaktickou) část. V teoretické části práce analyzuje populistický přístup vládnutí některých současných politiků, kteří se ve své konkrétní zemi dostali k moci, a následky jejich vlády na demokratické fungování státních institucí. Pro tento účel byly vybrány tři příklady - Andrej Babiš (ANO 2011), Donald J. Trump (Republican Party) a Recep Tayyip Erdo?an (AK PARTi). Text navazuje syntézou získaných poznatků, čímž vytváří profil nedemokratického populisty, mimo to analyzuje průniky tématu s RVP ZV, učebnicemi internetovými materiály. V praktické části jsou politologická data didakticky transformována do výuky tématu ve výchově k občanství v alternativní škole, finálně je tato výuka upravena na dvouhodinovou lekci hranic demokracie. The master's thesis objective is a didactic transformation of the political science theme boundaries of democracy in civic education. It contains a theoretical (political sciences) and a practical (didactic) part. The theoretical part of the work analyses the populist approach to governance of certain current politicians who gained a vast amount of political power in their state. Three examples were chosen for this purpose: Andrej Babiš (ANO 2011), Donald J. Trump (Republican Party), and Recep Tayyip Erdo?an (AK PARTi), their characteristics are merged to make a populist politician dangerous for the democratic establishment. In the practical part, these data are didactically transferred to teaching civic education. It analyses textbooks and internet manuals for teachers. The thesis end with teaching of the given topic in an alternative school and transferring that experience into a methodical lecture for teaching the boundaries of democracy. 2023 - Czech Diplomová práce teoreticko-projektového charakteru se zabývá zpracováním výtvarného projektu s názvem "Využití materiálů na bázi dřeva", který byl realizován v rámci předmětu výtvarné výchovy na druhém stupni základní školy. Teoretická část se zabývá především technickým a technologickým hlediskem dřeva a materiálů na jeho bázi, neboť základní odborné znalosti jsou nezbytné pro práci s jakýmikoliv materiály. Praktická část obsahuje experimentální workshop, který posloužil k ověření teoretických východisek a zároveň jako experiment nových či neobvyklých výtvarných technik práce s danými materiály. Dále obsahuje provedení projektu, jenž byl rozdělen do devíti lekcí. Tyto lekce byly uskutečněny se žáky šesté třídy základní školy Mníšek pod Brdy. Výsledky žákovských prací jsou zdokumentovány a jsou taktéž součástí této kvalifikační práce. This thesis is a theoretical and practical exploration of an art project titled: "The Use of Wood-based Materials". The project was conducted within the framework of art education at the second level of primary school. The theoretical section focuses on the technical and technological aspects of wood, and wooden materials. This knowledge is considered fundamental for working with any material in an artistic context. The practical component of the project involved an experimental workshop that served as a way to test the theoretical background and experiment with new or unusual artistic techniques of working with the given materials. The project was executed over a certain nine of lessons, and these lessons were conducted with pupils of the sixth grade at Mníšek pod Brdy primary school. The results of the pupils' work were documented and are included in this qualification work. 2023 - English The aim of the thesis was to characterize the ubiquitin ligase BIRC6 in several contexts. The goal was to expand the knowledge on the selectivity of E1-E2 recognition, to increase the known substrate range of BIRC6, and to elucidate the molecular interactions fulfilled by BIRC6 during autophagy via interaction with GABARAP. In addition, it was aimed to gain a better understanding on the general ubiquitination mechanism in E2/E3 hybrid enzymes, to identify the ubiquitination sites of known apoptotic and autophagic substrates and to enlighten substrate recognition by BIRC6. 2023 - Czech Tato studie se zaměřuje na možnosti rekonstrukce vegetace na základě analýzy zuhelnatělých zbytků dřeva pocházející ze dvou hradišť Prácheň a Netolice. Analyzované uhlíky pocházely jak z hradišť, tak z ploch v podhradí. U souborů byla sledována specifická antrakomasa, relativní podíl velikostních frakcí a použitá část stromu (podle zakřivení letokruhů). Tato data byla porovnávána s výsledky analýzu pylu a rekonstrukční mapou vegetace. Vývoj osídlení oblasti byl popsán na základě archeologické databáze (Archeologická mapa České republiky). This study focuses on the possibility of regional vegetation reconstruction based on anthracological evidence originating from two hillforts Prácheň and Netolice. Charcoals were analyzed from both hillforts and from the areas under the hillfort. Specific anthracomass, the relative proportion of mass fractions and the part of the tree used according to the curvature of the tree rings were monitored for the sets. This data was compared with the results of the pollen analysis and with the reconstruction map of the vegetation. 2023 - Czech Tato práce se zabývá molekulární detekcí bakterií rodu Helicobacter u laboratorních myší. Bakterie rodu Helicobacter jsou známé svou schopností infikovat gastrointestinální trakt savců. Tento výzkum se zaměřuje na vývoj a optimalizaci metod pro citlivou detekci těchto bakterií z bukálních stěrů myší. Byly použity molekulární metody, jako je TaqMan real-time PCR, konvenční PCR a klonování. Výsledky této práce mohou pomoci určit prevalenci infikovaných myší ve výzkumných laboratořích, což může být užitečné pro vývoj léčby onemocnění gastrointestinálního traktu a souvisejících onemocnění. This study investigates the molecular detection of Helicobacter bacteria in laboratory mice. Bacteria of the genus Helicobacter are known for their ability to infect the gastrointestinal tract of mammals. This research focuses on the development and optimization of methods for the sensitive detection of these bacteria from buccal swabs of mice. Molecular methods such as TaqMan real-time PCR, conventional PCR and cloning have been used. The results of this study may help to determine the prevalence of infected mice in research laboratories, which may be useful for further research in gastrointestinal health, and treatment of related diseases. Carbohydrates drive growth and longevity tradeoff strategies of plants in the Western United States

2023 - English This study explores the relationship between non-structural carbohydrates (NSCs), growth, and longevity in over 200 vascular plant species across diverse Western U.S. habitats. The research identifies specific roles for NSC compoundsfructans enhance longevity, while simple sugars support rapid growth at the expense of longevity. By elucidating the roles of individual NSC compounds and their relationship with growth and longevity, we are contributing to a deeper understanding of plant adaptation and survival strategies.
