In this text, I propose a novel interpretation of Theodor W. Adorno's thoughts on politics and society from the vantage point of post-Foucauldian biopolitics. The aim of the text is both to find answers to some of the most problematic aspects of Adorno's philosophy (i.e. how to justify the normative claims he makes, what the possibilities of emancipatory politics are) and also to reveal some important insights that might have been underemphasized in current biopolitical discourses (such as the psychological aspects of biopolitical oppression). In the first half of the text, which deals with Adorno's paradigmatic shift in comprehending politics, I consider the question of why he dedicated his political analyses to the micropolitical construction of human life instead of focussing on the more conventional topics of political philosophy. The second half then treats of the resulting question of what kind of moral or political resistance is available. Keywords : Theodor W. Adorno; Biopolitics; Auschwitz; Gender and Sexuality; Emancipatory Politics. RÉSUMÉ Le présent travail propose de réévaluer la pensée politique de Theodor W. Adorno en évoquant quelques parallèles entre sa philosophie et les discours biopolitiques postfoucaldiens. Cela peut présenter deux avantages : d'une part, nous aider à trouver les réponses aux questions les plus problématiques de sa philosophie (comment justifier ses prétentions normatives ou comment penser une politique émancipatrice) et d'autre part révéler quelques aspects de la biopolitique moderne qui ne sont pas encore suffisamment étudiés dans les discours politiques contemporains (par exemple les dimensions psychologiques de la répression biopolitique). La première partie a pour objectif de comprendre le tournant paradigmatique dans la science politique propose par Adorno. Nous investiguerons les raisons pour lesquelles il a consacré ses analyses à la répression micro-politique de la vie au lieu de traiter les sujets politiques bien plus conventionnels. Nous poursuivrons avec une deuxième partie qui portera sur la possibilité d'une résistance morale et d'une politique émancipatrice d'après Adorno. Mots-clés : Theodor W. That the term "tyrant" is regaining currency in some political contexts demands a thorough consideration of its specificity as a subject position. In this paper, I propose to think the tyrant in light of the work of Ernesto Laclau and Chantal Mouffe. I will begin by considering the political subject from the viewpoint of the longstanding search for a subject of emancipation. Such a search has had to deal with several failures resulting from its incapacity to think the subject in view of the radical openness of the social. This social, replete with antagonism, is the discursive field where the game of hegemony plays out, implicating as participants not only the subject of emancipation but also the subject of oppression posed as its enemy in an antagonistic relation. "Tyrant" is but a name accorded by a subject aiming for emancipation to such an enemy. By rejecting all temptation to provide the tyrant with an essence, the very precarity of the term arises, as it is in the end nothing but an empty signifier charged with representing a universal at once impossible and necessary - in this case, total crime. As such, the term tyrant is only relevant for designating a subject position to the extent that, as an empty signifier, it is an object of hegemonic articulation. Résumé La reprise de l'ampleur du terme « tyran » dans quelques contextes politiques exige une considération plus approfondie de sa spécificité en tant que position de sujet. Dans ce travail, nous proposons de penser ce tyran à partir des réflexions d'Ernesto Laclau et Chantal Mouffe. Nous commencerons plus généralement avec le sujet politique en esquissant la longue histoire de la recherche du sujet de l'émancipation. Une telle recherche a dû faire face à plusieurs échecs en n'arrivant pas à penser le sujet à la lumière de l'ouverture radicale du social. Ce social, traversé par l'antagonisme, est le champ discursif où se déroule le jeu hégémonique, au sein duquel nous trouverons comme participants non seulement le sujet de l'émancipation mais aussi le sujet de l'oppression posé comme son ennemi dans une relation antagonique. Au cours d'un tel jeu, « tyran » ne pourrait qu'être un nom accordé par un sujet visant l'émancipation à un tel ennemi. En rejetant toute tentation de doter le tyran une essence, nous nous rendrons compte de la précarité même de ce terme, qui n'est en fin de compte qu'un signifiant vide chargé de représenter un universel à la fois impossible et nécessaire - dans ce cas le crime total. The diploma thesis is focused on the grammar teaching in the context of a literary work. The aim of the thesis is to introduce possible positives coming out of the combination of the two relatively remote parts of the foreign-language teaching that are grammar as a language component and the development of a reading skill thanks to the presence of the literary text. The theoretical part firstly deals with the phenomena of presence of a literary text in an educational process. Second part focuses on grammar and especially the way of teaching it with the help of a literary text. The last part states the reasons of the choice of a particular novel - Les Misérables. The practical part of the work deals with worksheets where we want to demonstrate how to work with the text in favour of both - grammar and reading skill - in the same time. Key words: grammar, reading, literary text, V. Hugo, Les Misérables, language components, language skills Diplomová práce se zabývá výukou gramatiky v kontextu vybraného literárního díla. Cílem práce je představit možná pozitiva vycházející z kombinace těchto dvou relativně vzdálených součástí cizojazyčného vyučování - výuky gramatiky jakožto jazykového prostředku a rozvíjení řečové dovednosti čtení, kterou studentovi literární text zprostředkovává. Teoretická část práce popisuje vztah gramatiky a literárního textu ve výuce a uvádí několik různých přístupů k jejich zasazení do cizojazyčného vyučování. V rámci literárního textu se jedná například o práci s autentickým a neautentickým textem. Co se gramatiky týče, tam se jedná zejména o deduktivní a induktivní přístup. Praktická část obsahuje set pracovních listů, které demonstrují způsob, jak využít literární kontext pro práci s jazykovými prostředky. Pracovní listy by měly být pro studenty přínosné nejen ve prospěch osvojování jazykových prostředků a rozvíjení řečových dovedností, ale také ve prospěch jejich sociokulturního vzdělání. Tématem diplomové práce jsou vedlejší věty podmínkově přípustkové a podmínkově srovnávací v současné francouzštině a jejich následné srovnání s češtinou. Cílem této komparativní práce je najít výrazové prostředky vedlejších vět podmínkově přípustkových a podmínkově srovnávacích v současné francouzštině a srovnat je s jejich výrazovými ekvivalenty v češtině za pomoci korpusu InterCorp. Práce je rozdělena do dvou hlavních částí: na teoretickou a praktickou. První, teoretická část definuje a popisuje základní pojmy a dělení na bázi odborné literatury. Postupuje od obecného popisu věty až k souvětím podmínkově přípustkovým a podmínkově srovnávacím. Druhá, praktická část spočívá v analýze francouzských výrazových prostředků souvětí podmínkově přípustkových a podmínkově srovnávacích v korpusu InterCorp, a následně kvalitativně a kvantitativně zpracovává jejich české ekvivalenty. The thesis deals with the hypothetical concessive clauses and hypothetical comparative clauses in the present-day French and its subsequent comparison with Czech. The aim of this comparative work is to find the expressive means of the hypothetical concessive and hypothetical comparative clauses in the present-day French and compare them with their expressive equivalents Czech by using the InterCorp corpus. The thesis is divided into two main parts: theoretical and practical. The first one, theoretical part defines and describes basic concepts and divisions by using specialized literature. It proceeds from the general description from the clause to the hypothetical concessive and hypothetical comparative clauses. The second, practical part consists of the analysis of the French expression means of the hypothetical concessive and hypothetical comparative clauses in the InterCorp corpus, and subsequent by qualitatively and quantitatively processing of their Czech equivalents.

This diploma thesis focuses on semantic diversity of reporting verbs in French and English fiction. Among these verbs there are not only neutral or semantically marked transitive speech verbs but also intransitive ones or those that do not belong to the category of speech verbs but express different circumstances of a speech act. The objective of the thesis is to provide a contrastive analysis of reporting verbs in original and translated English and French fiction texts, their classification and evaluation of different factors that potentially affect their selection. The topic will be studied on the basis of the data from the parallel corpus Intercorp. The thesis attempts to contribute to a better understanding of reporting clauses. The outlined findings may be helpful especially to translators and fiction writers. Daná práce se zaměřuje na tendence sémantické rozmanitosti sloves uvozujících přímou řeč ve francouzské a anglické beletrii. Mezi těmito slovesy najdeme nejen neutrální nebo různě příznaková tranzitivní slovesa mluvení, ale také slovesa intranzitivní, příp. slovesa, která do skupiny sloves mluvení nepatří, ale vyjadřují různé okolnosti řečového projevu. Cílem této práce je kontrastivní analýza sloves uvozujících přímou řeč v originálních a překladových textech v angličtině a ve francouzštině, jejich klasifikace a posouzení různých faktorů potenciálně ovlivňujících jejich výběr. Daná problematika bude studována na základě dat z paralelního korpusu InterCorp. Práce se snaží přispět k lepšímu pochopení povahy uvozovacích vět. Poznatky zde nastíněné mohou posloužit zejména překladatelům a autorům krásné literatury.

The master thesis The Langue d'oc in the Scholarly Discourse Before and After The Great French Revolution considers the image of the Occitan language in the lexico-graphical and grammatico-graphical works that have been written between the beginning of the 18th and the mid-19th century. During this epoch, in the framework of a diglossic model, the language in question had been suffering a status of a dominated language. At the same time, however, it had awaken an interest of many scholars whose motivations for their studies ranged from a will to contribute to a proliferation of Francization to an effort to save the Occitan language and restore its own dignity. It is precisely this motivation, as well as the denominations which our authors had given to the language in question and also their strategies for its valorization or devalorization, that this text engages with. The socio-linguistic situation in the Pays d'Oc and the impact of The French Revolution and of its linguistic politics on the presence and the representation of the Occitan are also being examined. These phenomena are studied in the framework of a theory of the formation of nations by Miroslav Hroch as the phase A of the Occitan movement which had remained, at least during this phase, a purely cultural phenomenon, that is to say a... Diplomová práce Langue d'oc v učeneckém diskursu před a po Velké francouzské revoluci se zabývá obrazem okcitánštiny v lexikografických a gramatikografických dílech sepsaných mezi počátkem osmnáctého a polovinou devatenáctého století. V té době existoval daný jazyk coby jazyk nedominantní v rámci diglosického modelu. Zároveň ale vzbudil zájem mnohých učenců s různými motivacemi od touhy přispět k šíření francouzštiny až po snahu zachránit okcitánštinu a navrátit jí důstojnost. Tyto motivace jsou předmětem našeho studia, stejně jako názvy, kterými naši autoři pojmenovali dotyčný jazyk, a jejich strategie pro jeho valorizaci či devalorizaci. Zaměříme se také na sociolingvistickou situaci Pays d'Oc ve sledovaném období a na vliv Velké francouzské revoluce a jejích jazykových politik na přítomnost a také na reprezentaci okcitánštiny. Tyto jevy jsou studovány v rámci teorie Miroslava Hrocha o utváření národů, coby fáze A okcitánského hnutí, které ovšem přinejmenším v této fázi zůstalo fenoménem čistě kulturním, jehož aktéři sledovali různé cíle, aniž by se však sjednotili, a aniž by formulovali politický program. This paper aims to examine the emancipatory potential of cinema by means of an analysis of ideas of thinkers of the 20th century. The study firstly explores the concept of recognition in the works of G.W.F. Hegel, Karl Marx and Alexander Kojève, as well as those of Frantz Fanon and Judith Butler, who were both influenced by Sartre's existentialism. Secondly, I examine Walter Benjamin's reflections on cinema in more detail. He asserts that cinema can lead us to either the ultimate war or the reciprocal mutual recognition of human beings in the Marxist sense. The final part of the master's thesis outlines several crucial elements of the concept of 'recognition without violence' which cinema is able to realize. Key words: Cinema; Concept of Recognition; Merleau-Ponty; Butler; Walter Benjamin L'objectif de ce mémoire consiste à examiner la problématique du potentiel émancipateur du cinéma au travers une analyse des idées des penseurs du 20ème siècle qui abordent la question du cinéma et celle de la reconnaissance mutuelle de l'homme par l'homme. Le travail est divisé en trois parties. Dans un premier temps, j'effectue une analyse du concept de reconnaissance développé par G.W.F. Hegel ainsi que l'évolution de ce concept dans les critiques et les appropriations de la part de Karl Marx, Alexander Kojève, Jean Paul Sartre, Franz Fanon et Judith Butler. C'est surtout le point d'arrivé de ce développement qui est importante pour ma recherche, à savoir la polémique de Judith Butler avec Sartre et Fanon. Butler proclame que le concept de reconnaissance qui se situe au niveau de la lutte des consciences présuppose une dimension plus fondamentale, à savoir la corporéité. Grâce au découvert de cette dimension elle conçoit une reconnaissance qui passe par l'art en évitant le passage par la violence. Dans un deuxième temps, j'abordel'analyse du cinéma effectuée par Walter Benjamin qui est inspirée par le concept classique de reconnaissance. At the end of the manuscript of the last lesson of Courage of the truth, we can read this enigmatic declaration: "there is no establishment of the truth without an essential position of otherness; the truth is never the same; there can be truth only in the form of the other world and the other life" In this dissertation, we will analyse the relation between alterity and truth in the Foucauldian analysis of technics of the self. In order to do so, we will start with an analysis of the Foucaldian methodology used in his last years, especially what he means by alethurgic analysis. Then, we explore the necessity of an other for the manifestation of truth of the subject, for example, the necessity of an other for the ascetic practice of the self. Finally, we explain in which way the truth, in order to appear as such to the self, need to adopt an excentric position which, in its incarnation, will result in the other life. Key words: Foucault, alterity, technics of the self, truth À la fin du manuscrit de la dernière leçon du Courage de la vérité, nous retrouvons cette phrase quelque peu énigmatique : « « Il n'y a pas d'instauration de la vérité sans une position essentielle de l'altérité ; la vérité, ce n'est jamais le même ; il ne peut y avoir de vérité que dans la forme de l'autre monde et de la vie autre. » Nous proposons, dans ce mémoire, d'analyser la relation entre vérité et altérité . Pour ce faire, nous analysons d'abord la méthodologie foucaldienne utilisée lors des dernières années de sa vie, en particulier ce qu'il entend par les analyses alèthurgiques. Ensuite, nous explorons la nécessité d'une altérité à la manifestation de la vérité du sujet, par exemple, l'autre comme exigence de la pratique ascétique. Finalement, nous expliquons de quelle manière la vérité, pour apparaître comme telle au sujet, doit adopter une position excentrée qui, dans son incarnation, aboutira à la vie autre. The research of this Master thesis will focus on the guided tours telling the history of the jewish community of the Marais in Paris. Following several waves of migrations coming from different parts of the world, le Marais is seen primarily as a jewish district. With its numerous monuments and museums linked to the jewish community and its folkloric shops, le Marais is the jewish district of Paris for many Parisians and tourists. However, thanks to the research of historians, sociologists and anthropologists, we will see that the presence of this jewish community is not as strong as one would imagine. Besides its rich history, the district was one of the first to be protected as a whole thanks to a new law protecting the heritage. Using these datas plus a case-study of guided tours in le Marais, we will see why the district is particularly suited to guided tours about its jewish history and how its complexity allows the guide to use it in many different ways. Tato diplomová práce se zaměří na výzkum prezentace historie židovské komunity Marais v Paříži prostřednictvím prohlídek s výkladem o její historii. Po několika vlnách migrací pocházejících z různých částí světa je le Marais vnímána především jako židovská čtvrť. Díky svým četným památkám a muzeím spojeným s židovskou komunitou a jejími folklórními obchody je le Marais židovskou čtvrtí Paříže pro mnoho Pařížanů a turistů. Díky výzkumu historiků, sociologů a antropologů však uvidíme, že přítomnost této židovské komunity není tak silná, jak bychom si představovali. Kromě své bohaté historie byl okres jedním z prvních chráněných jako celek díky novému zákonu o ochraně kulturního a historického dědictví. Použitím těchto dat a díky případové studii prohlídky s průvodcem v le Marais uvidíme, proč je okres obzvláště vhodný pro prohlídky židovské historie s průvodcem a jak jeho složitost dovoluje průvodci ji používat mnoha různými způsoby.
