Modernita a gender: analýza životní a vztahové spokojenosti v České republice

This master's thesis deals with how the transformations of modernity and perceptions of gender roles shape partners' attitudes and influence their life and relationship satisfaction. Furthermore, it examines whether there are differences in life and relationship satisfaction depending on gender and how these differences are influenced by traditional and modern gender roles. The thesis also explores the influence of partner similarity on relationship satisfaction and how relationship satisfaction differs between two age groups. A comparison of satisfaction between married couples and couples in non-marital cohabitation is also performed. The chosen method is secondary data analysis of the Czech Household Panel Survey (CHPS). Two multiple linear regression models were constructed. The results indicate that relationship satisfaction has a stronger impact on life satisfaction than job satisfaction does. For men, job satisfaction is a more important life domain influencing overall life satisfaction than for women. Nonetheless, the influence of relationship satisfaction on life satisfaction is not gendered. Tato diplomová práce se zabývá tím, jak proměny modernity a vnímání genderových rolí formují postoje partnerů a ovlivňují jejich životní a vztahovou spokojenost. Dále zkoumá, zda existují rozdíly v životní a vztahové spokojenosti v závislosti na pohlaví a jak jsou tyto rozdíly ovlivněny tradičními a moderními genderovými rolemi. Práce se rovněž zabývá vlivem podobnosti partnerů na vztahovou spokojenost a rozdíly ve vztahové spokojenosti mezi dvěma věkovými skupinami. Provedeno je též srovnání spokojenosti mezi manželskými páry a páry žijícími v nesezdaném soužití. Zvolenou metodou je sekundární analýza dat Českého panelového šetření domácností (CHPS). Sestaveny byly dva modely mnohonásobné lineární regrese. Výsledky naznačují, že vztahová spokojenost má na životní spokojenost silnější vliv než spokojenost s prací. Pro muže je spokojenost s prací důležitější doménou ovlivňující životní spokojenost než pro ženy. Vliv spokojenosti se vztahem se ale dle pohlaví neliší. Důležitým zjištěním je, že celkově vyšší míra nesouhlasu s tradičními genderovými rolemi přispívá k vyšší vztahové spokojenosti, avšak u žen určité modernější postoje mohou spokojenost ve vztahu naopak snižovat. The main goal of this thesis is to discover what paths lead young people to political participation, what political activities the respondents took part in, how they perceive the influence of influencers on political participation and how they experience the current political climate in the Czech Republic. In the theoretical part, I focus on the definition of political participation and its types, factors influencing political participation, findings regarding the political participation of young people and existing knowledge regarding the influence of influencers on political participation. In the practical part, I conduct my own research. The research uses a qualitative approach, because the goal of this work is to enrich the existing knowledge with a deeper understanding of the phenomenon under investigation. The method of data collection is in-depth semi-structured interviews and the diary method. A total of fourteen respondents participated in the research, who were obtained through the convenience sampling method and the snow-ball method. The only selection criterion was the age of the respondents, which ranged from 20-27 years due to the necessary experience with political participation. Hlavním cílem této diplomové práce je zjistit, jakými cestami se mladí lidé dostávají k politické participaci, jakých politických aktivit se respondenti zúčastnili, jak vnímají vliv influencerů na politickou participaci a jakým způsobem prožívají současné politické klima v České republice. V teoretické části se věnuji vymezení politické participace a jejím druhům, faktorům ovlivňujícím politickou participaci, poznatkům týkajícím se politické participace mladých lidí a dosavadním zjištěním z oblasti vlivu influencerů na politickou participaci. V praktické části se zabývám vlastním výzkumem. Výzkum využívá kvalitativní přístup, protože cílem práce je obohatit dosavadní poznatky o hlubší porozumění zkoumaného jevu. Metodou sběru dat jsou hloubkové polostrukturované rozhovory a deníková metoda. Do výzkumu se zapojilo celkem čtrnáct respondentů, kteří byli získání prostřednictvím příležitostné metody výběru a metodou snow-ball. Jak dopadá samostatná a hybridní neformální péče o seniory na pečující rodiny?

The diploma thesis, "How does independent and hybrid informal care for seniors impact caregiving families?" examined informal care for seniors in households through independent care and hybrid care. The research questions for this work investigated how the impacts of informal care for seniors differ on caregiving families about the use of hybrid care and what differences exist in various aspects of caregivers' lives concerning the utilization of hybrid care. A comparative analysis was conducted to identify differences in the experience of both types of care and to determine if respondents' opinions align in certain areas. The aim was also to characterize the impacts of care on caregiving family members and to expand knowledge about the possibilities of caring for seniors. The research showed that hybrid care, which combines family support with professional assistance, positively impacts caregiving and reduces caregivers' psychological burdens. Furthermore, it was found that caregivers perceive hybrid care as suitable and prefer it over independent care. Intergenerational family relationships are strengthened but may be influenced by conflicts and emotions associated with caregiving. Diplomová práce "Jak dopadá samostatná a hybridní neformální péče o seniory na pečující rodiny?" zkoumala neformální péči o seniory v domácnosti prostřednictvím samostatné péče a hybridní péče. Výzkumné otázky pro tuto práci zjišťovaly, jak se liší dopady neformální péče o seniory na pečující rodiny s ohledem na využití hybridní péče a jaké jsou rozdíly v různých aspektech života pečovatelů s ohledem na využití hybridní péče. Byla provedena komparativní analýza s cílem zjistit rozdíly v prožívání obou typů péče a zjistit, zda se v některých oblastech názory respondentů shodují. Cílem bylo také charakterizovat dopady péče na pečující rodinné členy a rozšířit poznatky o možnostech péče o seniory. Výzkum ukázal, že hybridní péče, která kombinuje rodinnou podporu s profesionální pomocí, má pozitivní vliv na zvládání péče a snižuje psychické zátěže pečujících. Dále bylo zjištěno, že pečující vnímají hybridní péči jako vhodnou a upřednostňují ji před samostatnou péčí. Mezigenerační rodinné vztahy se posilují, ale mohou být ovlivněny konflikty a emocemi spojenými s péčí.

Vliv nástrojů umělé inteligence na studenty českých vysokých škol

In the world of rapidly evolving technologies, the last two years have seen a massive expansion of artificial intelligence. We are therefore all encountering emerging AI tools in our everyday lives. The thesis titled The Impact of AI Tools on Higher Education Students focuses on the ways in which students of Czech universities approach these new emerging technologies. After explaining the notion of artificial intelligence, the fundamental breakdown of the tools is outlined. The possible good and negative elements of these new instruments are also discussed. For the research, a mixed research design is adopted, which separates the analysis into two sections using the explanatory sequential design's processes. In the first step, a quantitative questionnaire survey was undertaken, with respondents divided proportionally into ten quotas based on the ISCED-F 2013 category. Semi-structured interviews were used in the second stage to augment the questionnaire survey. The analysis resulted in the key trends in the use of AI tools among students of Czech universities. High focus is given on the frequency of use, preferred tools, usual purposes of usage in academic, private, and professional life, faith in the generated information, and worries about potential negative consequences. The usual user groups for... V kontextu rychle se vyvíjejících technologií dochází v posledních několika letech i k rozsáhlému rozšiřování umělé inteligence. S nově vznikajícími nástroji fungujícími na bázi AI se proto setkáváme i my ve svých běžných životech. Diplomová práce s názvem Vliv nástrojů umělé inteligence na studenty českých vysokých škol se zaměřuje na způsoby, jakými studenti českých soukromých, veřejných a státních vysokých škol přistupují k těmto novým technologiím. Po přiblížení konceptu umělé inteligence je popsáno základní členění nástrojů. Představeny jsou i potenciální pozitivní a negativní stránky, které se s těmito novými nástroji pojí. Pro samotný výzkum je využito kombinovaného výzkumného designu, který dle postupů výkladového sekvenčního designu rozděluje analýzu do dvou etap. V první etapě proběhlo kvantitativní dotazníkové šetření, které proporčně dle kategorizace ISCED-F 2013 sdružilo respondenty do celkem 10 oborových kvót. V druhé etapě bylo dotazníkové šetření doplněno polostrukturovanými rozhovory. Výsledkem analýzy jsou stěžejní trendy v používání nástrojů umělé inteligence mezi studenty českých vysokých škol. Mezigenerační solidarita v době pandemie koronaviru

The diploma thesis examines the changes in intergenerational solidarity and the form of care provided by informal caregivers to elderly individuals during the COVID-19 pandemic. The rapidly changing situation around COVID-19 was captured through a planned but ultimately unrealized longitudinal panel design, which would have allowed capturing its dynamic nature. The method of data collection for the research was a questionnaire survey. In-depth interviews were conducted with a selected sample of participants, including caregivers and elderly recipients of care. These interviews took the form of semi-structured interviews, allowing flexibility in exploring relevant aspects. The collected qualitative data were analysed using content analysis. Despite the unrealized plan, the thesis provides a comprehensive view of the changing intergenerational solidarity during the pandemic. Findings revealed that the pandemic influenced intergenerational solidarity among caregivers and elderly recipients. Shared perceptions and concerns led to higher levels of solidarity. Isolation did not necessarily weaken solidarity, as many families used digital technologies to maintain connections and support. Additionally, intensive care contributed to higher intergenerational solidarity and engagement. Respondents... Diplomová práce zkoumá proměny mezigenerační solidarity a podoby poskytované péče mezi neformálními pečovateli a opečovávanými seniory během pandemie koronaviru. Rychle se měnící situace kolem COVID-19 byla zachycena prostřednictvím plánovaného, ale nakonec nerealizovaného longitudinálního panelového designu, který by umožnil zachytit její dynamickou povahu. Metodou sběru dat pro výzkum byla použita metoda dotazníkového šetření. Byly provedeny hloubkové rozhovory s vybraným vzorkem účastníků, který zahrnoval pečovatele i opečovávané. Tyto rozhovory probíhaly ve formátu polostrukturovaných rozhovorů, které umožnily flexibilitu při zkoumání relevantních aspektů. Sbíraná kvalitativní data byla analyzována pomocí obsahové analýzy. I přes nerealizovaný plán poskytuje práce komplexní pohled na měnící se mezigenerační solidaritu během pandemie. Zjištění ukázala, že pandemie ovlivnila mezigenerační solidaritu mezi pečujícími a opečovávanými seniory. Shodné vnímání a sdílené obavy vedly k vyšší míře solidarity. Izolace nemusela automaticky oslabit vztahy, protože mnohé rodiny využívaly digitální technologie k udržení spojení a podpory. Role genderu v mediálním pokrytí českých prezidentských voleb 2023

The aim of this diploma thesis was to find out, what role gender played in the media coverage of Danuše Nerudová's campaign for the presidential election in 2023. In the theoretical part, the concept of gender is explained as well as its connection to politics and how gendered language influences the political environment. Attention is paid to gender stereotypes, the historical development of women's representation in politics, and to specific obstacles that prevent women from being as active in public life as men. Specific impacts of stereotypes are shown through the examples of two well-known foreign female politicians, Hillary Clinton and Zuzana Čaputová. The context of the Czech presidential election in 2023, the campaign of Danuše Nerudová and the ways in which she herself has related to the issues of feminism and gender are then described. The methodological part presents the chosen research methods, qualitative and quantitative content analysis, and the media examined: Aktuálně, Deník Referendum, iDnes, iRozhlas, Echo24, Heroine, HN, Novinky, Reflex, and Seznam Zprávy. The qualitative research describes what the media most often focused on in relation to gender and the female candidate; the position of women in politics, criticism of Nerudová due to her lack of authenticity overconfidence,... Cílem předkládané diplomové práce bylo zjistit, jakou roli hrál gender v mediálním pokrytí kampaně Danuše Nerudové pro prezidentské volby v roce 2023. V teoretické části práce je vysvětlen pojem gender, jeho souvislost s politikou a to, jak genderově podmíněný jazyk politické prostředí ovlivňuje. Pozornost je věnována genderovým stereotypům, historickému vývoji zastoupení žen v politice a konkrétním překážkám, jež ženám brání být ve veřejném životě stejně aktivní, jako muži. Konkrétní dopady stereotypů jsou ukázány na příkladech dvou známých zahraničních političek, Hillary Clintonové a Zuzany Čaputové. Následně je popsán kontext českých prezidentských voleb v roce 2023, kampaň Danuše Nerudové a způsoby, jimiž se sama vztahovala k tématům feminismu a genderu. Diskriminace na pracovišti s ohledem na sexuální orientaci zaměstnanců

This thesis focuses on workplace discrimination based on sexual orientation, using the GBDH model as a theoretical framework. The first part presents a description of the given issue in Czech law and a comparison of the Czech Republic with other European countries. The main legal document concerning the given issue is the Anti-Discrimination Act, which divides discrimination into direct and indirect. In the Czech Republic, there is systematic discrimination against homosexuals and bisexuals based on the law in two cases - childcare and the possibility of leave of absence from work. According to the LGBTI II survey data, the Czech Republic is one of the countries where discrimination at work (11.2 %) and when looking for a job (4.2 %) is the least frequent. The second part of the thesis tests the influence of socio-demographic characteristics and the attitude of the employer and the collective on the level of discrimination against LGB employees. According to the results, previous negative experiences of the employee - with negative attitudes colleagues toward LGB minority, with inappropriate remarks about the LGB minority - have an impact on this type of discrimination. Práce se věnuje tématu diskriminace na pracovišti z důvodu sexuální orientace. Teoretický rámec práce je tvořen GBDH modelem, který popisuje diskriminaci LGB zaměstnanců. První část přináší zmapovaní této problematiky z hlediska legislativy ČR a porovnání ČR s dalšími státy Evropy. Pro zmapování situace ČR byla zvolena analýza relevantních právních dokumentů. Pro danou problematiku je klíčovým právním dokumentem antidiskriminační zákon, který dělí diskriminaci na přímou a nepřímou. V ČR dochází k systematické diskriminaci homosexuálů a bisexuálů na základně zákonů ve dvou případech - péče o děti a možnosti volna na základě osobních překážek v práci. Podle dat LGBTI II survey patří ČR k zemím, kde k diskriminaci v práci (11,2 %) a při hledání práce (4,2 %) dochází nejméně. Dále se práce věnuje testování vlivu sociodemografických charakteristik jedince a přístupu zaměstnavatele a kolektivu na míru diskriminace LGB zaměstnanců. Z dat výzkumů LGBTI II survey a Být LGBTQ+ v Česku byly vytvořeny 3 regresní modely. Podle výsledků mají na tento druh diskriminace vliv předešlé negativní zkušenosti zaměstnance - s negativním přístupem kolektivu, s nevhodnými poznámkami na adresu LGB minority. The subject of this masters' thesis is the perception of soft power in China and Taiwan by Czech online media. After the so-called "restart" of relations with China in the Czech Republic, China's influence through soft power has changed in recent years from a promising and successful one to a more sidelined one, which the public learns about from the media mainly through investment scandals or efforts to influence. This deteriorated image of China is being exploited by Taiwan, for which the exercise of soft power is also a way of winning allies and consolidating its place as a legitimate state. The aim of this paper is to map how selected Czech media from both ends of the spectrum of inclination towards the Chinese communist regime, namely Aktuálně.cz, Respekt, Seznam Zprávy, Sinopsis, Asiaskop, TV Barrandov and Literární noviny, report on Chinese and Taiwanese soft power in selected media cases. The results of the critical discourse analysis show that Chinese soft power is perceived negatively by the Czech anti-Chinese media, while the pro-Chinese media are more neutral. This is to some extent also due to the fact that most of the texts are taken from the Czech News Agency (ČTK), but also due to the smaller number of articles on these topics. Compared to the Chinese, Taiwanese (soft) power is... Předmětem diplomové práce je vnímání soft power, tzv "měkké síly", Číny a Tchaj-wanu českými online médii. Vliv Číny pomocí soft power se po tzv. "restartu" vztahů s Čínou v České republice v posledních letech proměnil z nadějného a úspěšného na více upozaděný, o němž se veřejnost dozvídá z médií především prostřednictvím kauz s investicemi nebo snah o ovlivňování. Tohoto zhoršeného obrazu Číny využívá Tchaj-wan, pro nějž je uplatňování soft power také způsobem, jak na svou stranu získat spojence a upevnit své místo jakožto legitimního státu. Cílem této práce je zmapovat, jak vybraná česká média z obou konců spektra náklonosti k čínskému komunistickému režimu, konkrétně Aktuálně.cz, Respekt, Seznam Zprávy, Sinopsis, Asiaskop, TV Barrandov a Literární noviny, ve vybraných mediálních kauzách reportují o čínské a tchajwanské soft power. Z výsledků kritické analýzy diskurzu vyplývá, že českými protičínskými médii je čínská soft power vnímána negativně, zatímco pročínské se vyjadřují spíše neutrálně. To je do jisté míry dáno také přebíráním většiny textů z ČTK, ale také menším zastoupení článků na daná témata. This thesis focuses on the analysis of the media representation of beauty and health in the advertising campaigns of the three largest drugstore players on the Czech market - dm drogerie-markt, ROSSMANN and Teta. Through a series of structured focus groups, I gathered qualitative data from three generational groups (Generation X, Generation Y and Generation Z) to describe how the advertising campaigns of Czech drugstores influence consumers' attitudes and perceptions of beauty and health and their purchasing behaviour. This topic is not elaborated in detail in the Czech retail and drugstore market. The treatment of this topic provides a new perspective on how drug companies communicate with their target audience and shape their perception of beauty and health. The first part of the thesis is devoted to the theoretical background and historical context of the drugstores dm drogerie markt, ROSSMANN and Teta. The practical part of the thesis is devoted to the research methodology, the focus groups themselves and then the presentation of the results and their summary. The results of the conducted research show that two dominant images and ideals of beauty prevail in the advertising campaigns of Czech drug companies. Tato diplomová práce se zaměřuje na analýzu mediální reprezentace krásy a zdraví v reklamních kampaních tří největších drogistických hráčů na českém trhu - drogerií dm- drogerie markt, ROSSMANN a Teta. Prostřednictvím série strukturovaných ohniskových skupin jsem shromáždila kvalitativní data od tří generačních skupin (generace X, generace Y a generace Z), abych na vybraném vzorku dotazovaných mohla popsat, jak reklamní kampaně českých drogistů ovlivňují postoje a náhledy na krásu a zdraví a nákupní chování spotřebitelů. Toto téma není v rámci českého retailového a drogistického trhu podrobně zpracováno. Zpracování tohoto tématu poskytuje nový pohled na to, jak drogistické společnosti komunikují s cílovým publikem a formují jeho vnímání krásy a zdraví. První část diplomové práce se věnuje teoretickým východiskům a historickému kontextu drogerií dm-drogerie markt, ROSSMANN a Teta. Praktická část diplomové práce se věnuje metodologii výzkumu, samotným ohniskovým skupinám a následně prezentaci výsledků a jejich shrnutí. Z výsledků provedeného výzkumu vyplývá, že v rámci reklamních kampaní českých drogistických společností převládají zejména dva dominantní obrazy a ideály krásy. The thesis is focused on the social interactions of online game players. The aim of the work is to map the social interactions that occur among players of online games, along with the factors that can influence the nature of these interactions. Part of the work focuses on whether, and in what way, the experiences of men and women differ in the online gaming environment, and how women are perceived and accepted in this environment. The last part is focused on establishing relationships within online games. The goal was to find out whether it is possible to establish long-term and meaningful relationships in this environment, what these relationships look like, and whether they can be compared to relationships formed in the real world. To achieve these goals, quantitative research was conducted using an online questionnaire. The results were then processed and interpreted using graphs and tables. The findings showed that interactions within online games have a diverse nature, which depends on many factors - the most significant in my research turned out to be the genre of games. Many women tend to hide their true identity within online games, even though the number of women who have experienced negative interactions does not differ much from the number of men who have also experienced them. The... Abstrakt je stručný výtah práce. Slouží především jako pomoc čtenáři rychle se zorientovat v dané práci, obsahuje stručnou charakteristiku práce, její cíle a použité metody. Abstrakt obsahuje také shrnutí výsledků práce. Diplomová práce je zaměřena na sociální interakce hráčů online her. Cílem práce je zmapovat sociální interakce, které probíhají mezi hráči online her, spolu s faktory, které podobu těchto interakcí mohou ovlivňovat. Část práce se zaměřuje na to, zda, a případně jakým způsobem, se liší prožitky mužů a žen v prostředí online her, a jak jsou ženy v tomto prostředí vnímány a přijímány. Poslední část je zaměřena na navazování vztahů v rámci online her. Cílem bylo zjistit, zda v tomto prostředí je možné navazovat dlouhodobé a smysluplné vztahy, případně jaké tyto vztahy mají podobu, a zda je lze srovnávat se vztahy utvořenými v reálném prostředí. K dosažení daných cílů práce bylo použito kvantitativního výzkumu realizovaného prostřednictvím online dotazníku. Výsledky byly následně zpracovány a interpretovány pomocí grafů a tabulek.
