Multiobjective probabilistic mixture control

Paper formulates the problem of multiobjective probabilistic mixture control design and proposes its general solution with both system model and target represented by finite probabilistic mixtures. A complete feasible algorithmic solution for mixture with components formed by normal auto-regression models with external variables is provided. Článek formuluje problém pravděpodobnostního návrhu řízení směsí s více cílovými funkcemi a představuje jeho obecné řešení v případě, že jak systém, tak cíl je reprezentován konečnou pravděpodobnostní směsí. Je presentováno úplné algoritmické řešení pro směsi tvořené gausovskými autoregresními modely s externí veličinou.

Forecasting in continuous double auction

Recently, the continuous double auction, i.e. the trading mechanism used in the majority of the financial markets, is the subject of an extensive study. In the present paper, a model of the continuous double auction with the completely random flow of the limit orders is studied. The main result of the paper is an approximate formula for the distribution of the market price and the traded volume at the time s given the information available at t < s. Bayesian inference of optimal lymphoscintigraphic sampling times

Recent research has pioneered quantitative Bayesian methods for diagnosis of lymphedema. The effectiveness of this approach depends on the selection of optimal lymphoscintigraphic imaging times for the entire limb. This paper develops a multichannel parametric model of the arm and derives an expression for the optimal lymphoscintigraphic sampling times. The Bayesian inference algorithm is applied to an over-sampled scintigraphic image sequence, and an optimal subret of such images is inferred. Úspěšnost nedávno navržené bayesovské kvantitativní diagnostiky lymfedému paží závisí na optimálním výběru okamžiků lymfoscintigrafického zobrazování. Článek popisuje parametrický model paže a odvozuje strategii optimální volby těchto okamžiků. Výsledný bayesovský algoritmus je použit na data obsahující nadbytečné obrazy a vede k výběru podmnožiny snímané v optimálních okamžicích.

The aim of this paper is twofold. First, it provides another option how to obtain a universal easily implementable method for the solution of the regulator equations using the FEMLAB package. The regulator equation originates from the output regulation problem. The main idea of the presented method is making a slight change of the regulator equation. It is then solved using the finite-elementmethod. Je navržen univerzální algoritmus pro řešení problému regulace výstupu, a to pomocí řešení parciální rovnice (tzv. regulační rovnice) pomocí balíku FEMLAB. Výhodou je snadná využitelnost i pro uživatele s užším matematickým zázemím.

Různé aspekty dynamického nebo temporálního GIS jsou v poslední době velice často diskutovány a nové přístupy a aplikace se objevují každý týden. Tento příspěvek analyzuje možnosti vybraných nástrojů přispět ke zpracování temporálních dat a věnuje se některým aspektům těch nejzákladnějších. Dynamic or temporal different aspects of GIS are very frequently discussed and we can register new approaches and applications in this field every week. This paper analyses the possibility of selected approaches to contribute to the temporal data processing and gives the overview of mostly required tools.

Texture similarity measure

This paper surveys the current best texture representations and studies their application for a texture similarity measure development. A simple experiment that evaluates texture similarity is proposed and the performance of several most advanced texture features is verified on it. In order to eliminate the influence of spectral information monospectral textures are considered in this study only. The paper suggests the L1 norm with either Markovian or Gabor features as the best texture similarity measure.

Numerical procedures and codes for linear Diophantine polynomial equations are proposed in this paper based on the banded matrix algorithms and solvers. Both the scalar and matrix cases are covered. The algorithms and programs developed are based on the observation that a set of constant linear equations resulting from the polynomial problem features a special structure. This structure, known as Sylvester, or block Syelvester in the matrix case, can in turn be accommodated in the banded matrix framework.

The robotic platform Orpheus is a top-class reconnaissance system controlled by an innovative technology called telepresence.The transmissions system of the robot is very critical part, because it must provide short robot response time, while serving wide band video signal to the operator. Wi-Fi technology can handle both parameters, but it struggles with poor reliability in situations without line of sight between the robot and the operator's transmitter antenna. An article deals with a model in Matlab. Robotický systém Orpheus patří mezi špičkové záchranářské systémy, které jsou řízeny moderní technologií nazývanou telepresence. Přenosový systém tohoto robotu tvoří jeho kritickou část neboť systém vyžaruje přenos video-senzorických dat při zachování krátké odezvy systému robot-operátor. Technologie zvaná Wi-Fi splňuje oba tyto parametry, ale je charakteristická vysokou chybovostí v řípadech, kdy mezi operátorem a robotem není přímá viditelnost.

A roller - fast sampling-based texture synthesis algorithm

This paper describes a method for synthesizing natural textures that realistically matches given colour texture appearance. The novel texture synthesis method, which we call the roller, is based on the overlapping tiling and subsequent minimum error boundary cut. An optimal double toroidal patch is seamlessly repeated during the synthesis step. While the method allows only moderate texture compression it is extremely fast and easily implementable in a graphical hardware for purpose of real-time rendering. Článek popisuje jednoduchou metodu pro bezešvé rozšíření přírodních barevných textur. Nová metoda, kterou nazýváme "váleček", je založena překrývajících se oblastech, které jsou následně rozříznuty podlekritéria minimální chyby. Optimální dvojitě toroidních oblast se bezešvě opakuje v kroku syntézy. Metoda dovoluje omezenou kompresi textur, nicméně je extrémně rychlá a umožňuje implementaci přímo v grafickém procesoru pro zobrazení v reálném čase.
