Optimal distribution of measurement time in single channel measurements
Kašpar, Jaromír; Ryšavý, Miloš
2008 - English
An optimization of the measurement time distribution in single channel measurements is proposed and applied to the electron spectroscopy. Je navržena optimalizace rozdělení měřicího času v jednokanálových měřeních a aplikována v elektronové spektroskopii. Keywords: single channe measurement Available at various institutes of the ASCR

Bayesian approach for determination of energy response of some radiation detectors to neutrons
Cabal, Arango Gonzalo Alfonso; Spurný, František; Turek, Karel
2007 - English
Results of any experimental study, dosimetry ones included, are obtained within limits of some uncertainties. The use of them should be therfore accompanied by the analysis of how these uncertainties can influence the validity of the results. One of the latest approaches how to perform such analysis is known as the Bayesian approach. Keywords: Bayesian approach; radiation detectors; neutrons Available at various institutes of the ASCR

Onboard spacecraft phantom measurements with thermoluminescent and track-etch detectors
Jadrníčková, Iva; Spurný, František; Shurshakov, V. G.
2007 - English
Space radiation environment is composed of many different particles with very large energy range. These particles can be divided into low-LET component (mostly electrons, high-energy protons and photons) and high LET component (heavier charged particles, neutrons and neutron-like reacting particles). When only passive detectors are considered, low-LET component is mostly measured with thermoluninescent detectors (TLD), for high-LET component spectrometer of linear energy transfer (LET based on track-etch detectors (TED) is used. Keywords: onboard spacecraft; measurements; thermoluminescent and track-etch detectors Available at various institutes of the ASCR
