Rozhodování mladé generace obyvatel vesnice původních obyvatel v Ekvádoru v rámci "věku migračního snu

2024 - English The thesis will focus on the migration of the young Salasaka generation within the context of the "age of the migration dream" (Bude, 2010) and of three approaches to answering the question of why people migrate through migration theories: economic approach, systematic approach, and narrative approach. The work will aim to describe the narratives of a migration dream and how this dream is shaped, reproduced, and changed. This research emphasizes the importance of narratives as a crucial driver of migration. Narratives can significantlyinfluence decision-making processes, serving as a key to understanding the creation of migration flows and play a significant role in shaping perceptions and attitudes towards migration within communities. The research field is the indigenous village of Salasaka in highland Ecuador, a village where traditional ways andcultural heritage are highlyvaluedas indigenous people were discriminated against in Ecuador throughout history. However, the younger generation has developed different ways of living as they study at universities, dress differently, have a different occupation,or leave their village.The methodwill include a three-monthethnographic research using photo-elicitation method.The thesis tries toanswer the question,"Whydo young people in Salasaka migrate?".... Diplomová práce se zaměří na migraci generace mladých lidí ze Salasaky v Ekvádoru v kontextu "doby migračníhosnu" (Bude, 1980) a hledání odpovědi na otázku, proč lidé migrují, a to prostřednictvím tří základních přístupů v rámci teorie migrace: ekonomického, systematického a narativního přístupu. Práce si klade za cíl popsat narativy migračního snu a způsobů, jakým je tento sen utvářen,reprodukován a měněn. Vychází přitom z předpokladu,že narativy předávané v rámci komunity představují důležitý faktor ovlivňující migraci, že hrají významnou roli při formování postojů a vnímání migrace uvnitř komunit i v procesu rozhodování jednotlivců. Výzkumným terénem je vesnice Salasaka nacházející se v Andách v Ekvádoru, vesnice, kde jsou tradiční způsoby života a udržování kulturního dědictví velkým tématem i proto, že původní obyvatelé se v rámci historie potýkali se silnou diskriminací. Vesnice Salasaka se ale mění a prochází změnou v důsledkuglobalizace; a mladá generace žije odlišným způsobem života, studuje na univerzitách, opouští tradiční styl oblékání, vykonává odlišná povolání než jejich rodiče. 2024 - English Výzkumné téma diplomové práce vychází z medicínského pojmu známého jako "fantomová bolest". Definice na webu Mayo Clinic uvádí, že "fantomová bolest je bolest, která je pociťována, jako by vycházela z části těla, která již neexistuje. Lékaři kdysi věřili, že tento post- amputační fenomén je psychologického rázu, v dnešní době nicméně odborníci mají za to, že jde o skutečné pocity pocházející z míchy a mozku. (Mayo Clinic, n.d.). Předkládaná práce zkoumá ideu "fantomové identity" konceptualizovanou jako identitu, se kterou se mohou ztotožňovat nebo ji jako takovou vyjadřovat obyvatelé již neexistující země - Jugoslávie. Klíčovouotázkou je,zda vůbec existuje něco takového jako společná identita bývalého společného státu, která by byla odlišná od etnických a jiných post-jugoslávských identit. A dále pak, jak vlastně tento proces identifikace funguje a jaké jsou jeho základní element. Práce zkoumá možnost existence takové společné identity nebo jejích prvků, které by se projevovaly pouze (a specifickým způsobem), když jsou tito jedinci spolu, obvykle v kontextu společenských aktivit nebo sdílené emigrační zkušenosti. Diskriminace na pracovišti s ohledem na sexuální orientaci zaměstnanců

2024 - Czech This thesis focuses on workplace discrimination based on sexual orientation, using the GBDH model as a theoretical framework. The first part presents a description of the given issue in Czech law and a comparison of the Czech Republic with other European countries. The main legal document concerning the given issue is the Anti-Discrimination Act, which divides discrimination into direct and indirect. In the Czech Republic, there is systematic discrimination against homosexuals and bisexuals based on the law in two cases - childcare and the possibility of leave of absence from work. According to the LGBTI II survey data, the Czech Republic is one of the countries where discrimination at work (11.2 %) and when looking for a job (4.2 %) is the least frequent. The second part of the thesis tests the influence of socio-demographic characteristics and the attitude of the employer and the collective on the level of discrimination against LGB employees. According to the results, previous negative experiences of the employee - with negative attitudes colleagues toward LGB minority, with inappropriate remarks about the LGB minority - have an impact on this type of discrimination. In one of the regression models, the influence of age was shown, while the remaining socio-demographic characteristics do not... Práce se věnuje tématu diskriminace na pracovišti z důvodu sexuální orientace. Teoretický rámec práce je tvořen GBDH modelem, který popisuje diskriminaci LGB zaměstnanců. První část přináší zmapovaní této problematiky z hlediska legislativy ČR a porovnání ČR s dalšími státy Evropy. Pro zmapování situace ČR byla zvolena analýza relevantních právních dokumentů. Pro danou problematiku je klíčovým právním dokumentem antidiskriminační zákon, který dělí diskriminaci na přímou a nepřímou. V ČR dochází k systematické diskriminaci homosexuálů a bisexuálů na základně zákonů ve dvou případech - péče o děti a možnosti volna na základě osobních překážek v práci. Podle dat LGBTI II survey patří ČR k zemím, kde k diskriminaci v práci (11,2 %) a při hledání práce (4,2 %) dochází nejméně. Dále se práce věnuje testování vlivu sociodemografických charakteristik jedince a přístupu zaměstnavatele a kolektivu na míru diskriminace LGB zaměstnanců. Z dat výzkumů LGBTI II survey a Být LGBTQ+ v Česku byly vytvořeny 3 regresní modely. Podle výsledků mají na tento druh diskriminace vliv předešlé negativní zkušenosti zaměstnance - s negativním přístupem kolektivu, s nevhodnými poznámkami na adresu LGB minority. Srovnávací studie soft power Číny a Tchaj-wanu v České republice

2024 - Czech The subject of this masters' thesis is the perception of soft power in China and Taiwan by Czech online media. After the so-called "restart" of relations with China in the Czech Republic, China's influence through soft power has changed in recent years from a promising and successful one to a more sidelined one, which the public learns about from the media mainly through investment scandals or efforts to influence. This deteriorated image of China is being exploited by Taiwan, for which the exercise of soft power is also a way of winning allies and consolidating its place as a legitimate state. The aim of this paper is to map how selected Czech media from both ends of the spectrum of inclination towards the Chinese communist regime, namely Aktuálně.cz, Respekt, Seznam Zprávy, Sinopsis, Asiaskop, TV Barrandov and Literární noviny, report on Chinese and Taiwanese soft power in selected media cases. The results of the critical discourse analysis show that Chinese soft power is perceived negatively by the Czech anti-Chinese media, while the pro-Chinese media are more neutral. This is to some extent also due to the fact that most of the texts are taken from the Czech News Agency (ČTK), but also due to the smaller number of articles on these topics. Compared to the Chinese, Taiwanese (soft) power is... Předmětem diplomové práce je vnímání soft power, tzv "měkké síly", Číny a Tchaj-wanu českými online médii. Vliv Číny pomocí soft power se po tzv. "restartu" vztahů s Čínou v České republice v posledních letech proměnil z nadějného a úspěšného na více upozaděný, o němž se veřejnost dozvídá z médií především prostřednictvím kauz s investicemi nebo snah o ovlivňování. Tohoto zhoršeného obrazu Číny využívá Tchaj-wan, pro nějž je uplatňování soft power také způsobem, jak na svou stranu získat spojence a upevnit své místo jakožto legitimního státu. Cílem této práce je zmapovat, jak vybraná česká média z obou konců spektra náklonosti k čínskému komunistickému režimu, konkrétně Aktuálně.cz, Respekt, Seznam Zprávy, Sinopsis, Asiaskop, TV Barrandov a Literární noviny, ve vybraných mediálních kauzách reportují o čínské a tchajwanské soft power. Z výsledků kritické analýzy diskurzu vyplývá, že českými protičínskými médii je čínská soft power vnímána negativně, zatímco pročínské se vyjadřují spíše neutrálně. To je do jisté míry dáno také přebíráním většiny textů z ČTK, ale také menším zastoupení článků na daná témata. Mediální reprezentace krásy a zdraví v reklamních kampaních drogerií: Analýza marketingových kampaní drogistických společností na českém trhu

2024 - Czech This thesis focuses on the analysis of the media representation of beauty and health in the advertising campaigns of the three largest drugstore players on the Czech market - dm drogerie-markt, ROSSMANN and Teta. Through a series of structured focus groups, I gathered qualitative data from three generational groups (Generation X, Generation Y and Generation Z) to describe how the advertising campaigns of Czech drugstores influence consumers' attitudes and perceptions of beauty and health and their purchasing behaviour. This topic is not elaborated in detail in the Czech retail and drugstore market. The treatment of this topic provides a new perspective on how drug companies communicate with their target audience and shape their perception of beauty and health. The first part of the thesis is devoted to the theoretical background and historical context of the drugstores dm drogerie markt, ROSSMANN and Teta. The practical part of the thesis is devoted to the research methodology, the focus groups themselves and then the presentation of the results and their summary. The results of the conducted research show that two dominant images and ideals of beauty prevail in the advertising campaigns of Czech drug companies. One is the focus on physical beauty, perfect appearance and idealised images of beauty.... Tato diplomová práce se zaměřuje na analýzu mediální reprezentace krásy a zdraví v reklamních kampaních tří největších drogistických hráčů na českém trhu - drogerií dm- drogerie markt, ROSSMANN a Teta. Prostřednictvím série strukturovaných ohniskových skupin jsem shromáždila kvalitativní data od tří generačních skupin (generace X, generace Y a generace Z), abych na vybraném vzorku dotazovaných mohla popsat, jak reklamní kampaně českých drogistů ovlivňují postoje a náhledy na krásu a zdraví a nákupní chování spotřebitelů. Toto téma není v rámci českého retailového a drogistického trhu podrobně zpracováno. Zpracování tohoto tématu poskytuje nový pohled na to, jak drogistické společnosti komunikují s cílovým publikem a formují jeho vnímání krásy a zdraví. 2024 - English This master thesis focuses on the exploration of Eastern Europe representation in video games, namely through a case study of two specific titles, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl and Pathologic. Video games are increasingly recognized not only as a form of entertainment, but also as a medium that carries visual and cultural content. Based on their growing popularity and importance, the discussion about the representation of different cultures and peoples in video games is becoming an important topic of study. This thesis sets out to explore how these two selected video games represent and interpret Eastern Europe, and how this representation compares to other media from the region. Tato diplomová práce se zaměřuje na zkoumání reprezentace východní Evropy ve videohrách, a to prostřednictvím případové studie dvou konkrétních titulů, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. a Pathologic. Sociální interakce hráčů online her

2024 - Czech The thesis is focused on the social interactions of online game players. The aim of the work is to map the social interactions that occur among players of online games, along with the factors that can influence the nature of these interactions. Part of the work focuses on whether, and in what way, the experiences of men and women differ in the online gaming environment, and how women are perceived and accepted in this environment. The last part is focused on establishing relationships within online games. The goal was to find out whether it is possible to establish long-term and meaningful relationships in this environment, what these relationships look like, and whether they can be compared to relationships formed in the real world. To achieve these goals, quantitative research was conducted using an online questionnaire. The results were then processed and interpreted using graphs and tables. The findings showed that interactions within online games have a diverse nature, which depends on many factors - the most significant in my research turned out to be the genre of games. Many women tend to hide their true identity within online games, even though the number of women who have experienced negative interactions does not differ much from the number of men who have also experienced them. The... Abstrakt je stručný výtah práce. Slouží především jako pomoc čtenáři rychle se zorientovat v dané práci, obsahuje stručnou charakteristiku práce, její cíle a použité metody. Abstrakt obsahuje také shrnutí výsledků práce. Diplomová práce je zaměřena na sociální interakce hráčů online her. Cílem práce je zmapovat sociální interakce, které probíhají mezi hráči online her, spolu s faktory, které podobu těchto interakcí mohou ovlivňovat. Část práce se zaměřuje na to, zda, a případně jakým způsobem, se liší prožitky mužů a žen v prostředí online her, a jak jsou ženy v tomto prostředí vnímány a přijímány. Poslední část je zaměřena na navazování vztahů v rámci online her. Cílem bylo zjistit, zda v tomto prostředí je možné navazovat dlouhodobé a smysluplné vztahy, případně jaké tyto vztahy mají podobu, a zda je lze srovnávat se vztahy utvořenými v reálném prostředí. K dosažení daných cílů práce bylo použito kvantitativního výzkumu realizovaného prostřednictvím online dotazníku. Výsledky byly následně zpracovány a interpretovány pomocí grafů a tabulek. 2024 - Czech Constitutional Prohibition of Censorship in Theory and Practice Abstract The thesis focuses on the constitutional prohibition of censorship enshrined in Art 17(3) of the Charter of Fundamental Rights and Freedoms and presents an analysis of the content and applicability of this institute of Czech constitutional law. Firstly, the thesis addresses the confusion of terms which results from identifying censorship in an extra-legal sense with the constitutionally prohibited censorship within the meaning of the Charter or from mistaking this concept for the prior restraint doctrine known from the Supreme Court of the United States and European Court of Human Rights case law. The thesis is subsequently structured according to the three fundamental characteristics of the examined concept identified in the Czech doctrinal literature. These are critically analysed from the perspective of coherence in the context of the related guarantees of freedom of expression, the sub-constitutional regulation of media law and the intermediary services in the digital space. The fundamental premises of the Czech doctrine are confronted with the existing case law and the starkly contrasting position of the Slovak literature and case law. Ústavní zákaz cenzury v teorii a praxi Abstrakt Diplomová práce se zabývá ústavním zákazem cenzury zakotveným v čl. 17 odst. 3 Listiny základních práv a svobod a předkládá rozbor obsahu a aplikovatelnosti tohoto institutu českého ústavního práva. V úvodu práce vypořádává zmatení pojmů plynoucí ze spojování cenzury v mimoprávním smyslu s ústavně zakázanou cenzurou v chápání Listiny, resp. ze záměny tohoto konceptu s doktrínou nepřípustnosti předběžných omezení známé z judikatury Nejvyššího soudu USA, resp. Evropského soudu pro lidská práva. Práce je následně strukturována podle třech základních charakteristik tohoto institutu identifikovaných v české odborné literatuře. Ty jsou kriticky analyzovány z hlediska koherence v kontextu souvisejících záruk svobody projevu, podústavní úpravy mediálního práva a poskytování zprostředkovatelských služeb v digitálním prostoru. 2024 - Czech The aim of this thesis is to analyze the media portrayal of the war Ukraine in the main newscast of TV Nova, namely in the evening news session Televizní noviny. The thesis will describe how the conflict evolved within the course of a year in the specified television program and how the television covered the progress of the war at the beginning and after a year of its duration. Through content analysis, the thesis primarily focuses on the news that provided people with current information about the war and the events of the Ukrainian-Russian conflict. It examines the frequency of news reports on Ukraine as well as their length and placement as they were featured in TV Nova's most watched newscast during the first year of the war. Depending on this, the theoretical part of the thesis will deal with Czech television news and on what principles it works, research dealing with people's relationship to the media, etc. TV Nova will be described with an emphasis on news and their news session Televizní noviny, which is currently the most watched evening news session in the Czech Republic. Skrze obsahovou analýzu se práce primárně věnuje zprávám, které přinášely lidem aktuální informace o válce a dění Ukrajinsko-ruského konfliktu. Zkoumá četnost zpráv o Ukrajině a také jejich délku a umístění, jak byly v nejsledovanější zpravodajské relaci TV Nova umístěny v průběhu prvního roku války. V závislosti na tom, se teoretická část práce bude zabývat českým televizním zpravodajstvím a na jakých principech funguje, výzkumy zabývající se vztahem lidí k médiím apod. Popsána bude TV Nova s důrazem na zpravodajství a jejich zpravodajský pořad Televizní noviny, které jsou aktuálně nejsledovanější večerní zpravodajskou relací v ČR. Předpokládám, že se s eskalací konfliktu na Ukrajině zvýšil výskyt zpráv ve zpravodajství TV Nova informující o Ukrajině. Dále předpokládám, že budou během roku vidět vlny, kdy se informace o ukrajinsko-ruském konfliktu upozaďovaly a byl jim věnován menší prostor. Práce má za cíl zmapovat ve zvoleném období kolik zpráv bylo do vysílání zařazeno a jaká...
