Tématem této bakalářské práce je analýza autobiografických paralel ve třech románech Virginie Woolfové Paní Dallowayová, K majáku a Orlando. Téma je analyzováno prostřednictvím biografického přístupu a nabízí náhled na tyto romány vzhledem k historickému a biografickému kontextu. Biografická fakta odhalují několik oblastí zájmu, ve kterých Woolfová buď promítá své psychologické problémy nebo adresuje problémy tehdejší patriarchální společnosti, a které jsou následně reflektovány v detailní analýze ženských postav jejích třech románů. The theme of this bachelor thesis is an analysis of autobiographical features in Virginia Woolf's three novels Mrs. Dalloway, To the Lighthouse and Orlando. The theme is analysed by means of a biographical approach with respect to historical and biographical context. The biographical facts uncovered several fields of interest, in which Woolf either projects her own psychological issues or addresses the issues of contemporary patriarchal society which are later reflected in the detailed analysis of the female characters in the novels.

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá syntaktickým popisem shody přísudku s podmětem ve variaci angličtiny, jež afroameričtí mluvčí praktikují převážně ve Spojených státech amerických, která se nazývá afro americká vernakulární angličtina. Tento syntaktický popis vychází z teoretického rámce distribuované morfologie a zahrnuje ochuzovací pravidla, která umožňují vznik různorodých fonologických prostředí se stejným sémantickým významem. Hlavní předmět této práce je rozdíl mezi variacemi týkající se shody přísudku finitních lexikálních sloves s podmětem ve třetí osobě jednotného čísla. This bachelor thesis deals with syntactic description of subject-verb agreement of variation of English spoken by African-American speakers predominately in the United States of America called African American Vernacular English. The description follows the theoretical framework of Distributed Morphology and incorporates the function of Impoverishment Rules that allows different phonological environments to arise with the same semantic interpretation. The main focus is laid upon a contrast of varieties regarding the subject-verb agreement of third person singular on finite lexical verbs.

Martin Lavička, MA The aim of this Bachelor thesis is to examine if the accession of the Slovak republic to the EU has affected the later development of the bilateral relations in the field of economics, namely trade and investment. The theoretical section provides a chronological overview of the overall development of the bilateral economic relations. Its purpose is predominantly to review and clarify the development justified in the context of the contemporary events. The examined time period starts with the "Peaceful Divorce" of Czechoslovakia in 1993 and ends with the year 2016. The empirical findings section is devoted to the analysis of the gathered data regarding the bilateral trade exchange. The analysis supports the argument that the accession of the Slovak republic to the EU has significantly affected the later development of the bilateral economic cooperation.

Bakalářská práce se zabývá překladem humorných extralingvistických kulturních referencí v českém dabingu filmu Deadpool. Teoretická část této práce popisuje audiovizuální překlad se zaměřením na dabing a omezující parametr synchronizace; definuje, co to jsou extralingvistické kulturní reference a představuje překladatelské strategie a ovlivňují parametry tak, jak je uvádí Jan Pedersen (2011) ve svém modelu; a také se krátce dotýká aspektu překladu humoru s důrazem na funkční ekvivalenci. Vybrané příklady humorných extralingvistických kulturních referencí ve filmu Deadpool jsou klasifikovány dle překladových strategií popsaných v teoretické části a jsou okomentovány s ohledem na ovlivňující parametry a humornou funkci humorných extralingvistických kulturních referencí. Vhodnost užití překladatelských strategií Jana Pedersena (2011) na analýzu dabingového překladu byla potvrzena a celkový překlad humorných extralingvistických kulturních referencí byl shledán jako funkční a vydařený The present bachelor thesis deals with the translation of humorous Extralinguistic Cultural References (ECRs) in Czech dubbing of the film Deadpool. The theoretical part of the thesis describes audiovisual translation with focus on dubbing and its constraint of synchronisation; defines what Extralinguistic Cultural References are and presents the translation strategies and influencing parameters based on Jan Pedersen's (2011) model; and also briefly touches on the aspect of humour translation with emphasis on functional equivalence. The chosen examples of humorous ECRs from Deadpool are classified according to the translation strategies discussed in the theoretical part and are commented on with regard to the influencing parameters and the humorous function of the ECR. The suitability of Jan Pedersen's (2011) translation strategies applied to dubbing translation is assessed and found to be useful beyond subtitling and the overall analysis has shown that the translation of the humorous ECRs in the Czech dubbing was functional and well done.

Kvantová distribuce klíče s polarizačně kódovaným slabým signálem

Cílem této práce je vyvinout základ systému pro kvantovou distribuci klíče. Kvantová distribuce klíče nám umožňuje generovat a přenášet tajný klíč, přičemž je schopna odhalit jakýkoli pokus o jeho odposlech dříve, než je použit pro šifrování zpráv. Navrhnul jsem a postavil experimentální realizaci dvoustavového B92 protokolu pro kvantový přenos klíče, kterou lze snadno rozšířit pro potřeby pokročilejších vícestavových protokolů včetně těch používající takzvané decoy stavy. Moje realizace je založena na polarizačním kódování zeslabených koherentních pulzů produkovaných polarizačně filtrovanou luminiscenční diodou, která je řízena několika stovkami nanosekund dlouhými elektronickými pulzy produkovanými mikrokontrolerem. Dále jsem vyvinul program pro řízení experimentu, extrakci klíče a vyhodnocování chybovosti přenosu. Demonstroval jsem kvantový přenos klíče ve volném prostoru na krátkou vzdálenost s opakovací frekvencí hodin 2,3 MHz, rychlostí generace klíče 170 kHz při pravděpodobnosti chyby 0,8\%. Další práce bude zaměřena na zlepšení rychlosti a bezpečnosti přenosu klíče a jeho aplikaci v realistických kvantových kanálech. The goal of the Thesis is to develop a core of quantum key distribution system. Quantum key distribution allows for generation and transmission of a secret key, where any eavesdropping attempt is revealed before the key is used to transmit an actual message. I have designed and developed an experimental implementation of two-state B92 quantum key distribution protocol, which can readily be extended to more advanced multi-state protocols even including decoy states. The implementation is based on polarization encoded weak coherent states generated by polarization filtered luminescent diodes controlled by a few hundred nanosecond electronic pulses produced by a microcontroller. I have also developed software for controlling the experiment, extraction of raw key, and evaluation of error rate. I have demonstrated quantum key distribution over short free-space channel with clock frequency of 2.3 MHz, key rate of 170 kHz, and error probability of 0.8 %. The further work will be focused on improvement of the quality of quantum key distribution and its application to realistic quantum channels.

Hlavním cílem této práce je ukázat, jakým způsobem byly ženy vnímány napříč kulturou country hudby, přesněji řečeno, přes hudbu předních amerických country umělkyň. Práce nabízí obecný stručný přehled prostředí a vývoje country hudby a zároveň poskytuje informace o způsobu života žen žijících v oblasti Appalačského pohoří, kde hudba vznikala. Praktická část je zaměřena na představení vybraných umělkyň a analýzu textů písní od dvacátých let dvacátého století, kdy vznikala country hudba, přes poválečné období a ženské osvobozenecké hnutí až po osmdesátá léta dvacátého století. Cílem této analýzy je poskytnutí jasnějšího vhledu do vývoje rolí žen ve společnosti. Pozornost je zaměřena na The Carter Family popisující vcelku patriarchální a sexistickou společnost meziválečného období. S příchodem Kitty Wells a působením Loretty Lynn a Dolly Parton se v průběhu let objevují v hudbě více feministická témata zabývající se rozvodem, antikoncepcí, sexuálním osvobozením, pracující ženou a dualistickým přístupem k ženám. The aim of this work is to show how women were perceived in American society through country music culture, specifically through the country music of female artists. The work provides an overview of the country music general background information and the picture of women's lives in the Appalachian Mountains area, where the music originated. The practical part focuses on introducing selected artists and analyzing the texts of songs of the time period from the birth of country music in 1920s, through the afterwar era and the Women's movement until the 1980s. The purpose of the analysis is to provide a clearer view on how women's roles in society evolved. The focus is on The Carter Family who describes the still quite patriarchal, sexist society of the between-the-wars period. Starting with Kitty Wells and continuing with Loretta Lynn and Dolly Parton more feminist topics appear, such as, birth control, sexual liberation, working women, double standard and divorce.

Tato práce se zabývá spin-offy a filmovými adaptacemi inspirovanými pěti romány Jane Austenové, které vyšly od devadesátých let dvacátého století. Cílem práce je zjistit, proč je tento typ literatury a filmů oblíbený, a co motivuje jejich autory k této tvorbě. Dále tato práce analyzuje jaké typy spin-offů existují, a proč jsou knihy Jane Austenové natolik populární i v dnešní době, a co má na jejich oblíbenost vliv. Tato práce analyzuje knihy, filmy a komentuje online fan fiction. This thesis concentrates on spin-offs and film adaptations inspired by five Jane Austen's novels, published since the 1990s. The aim of this work is to find out, why this type of literature and films is popular and what inspires their authors to produce them. This thesis further analyses what types of spin-offs exist and why are Jane Austen's novels still so popular today, and what influences this popularity. This work analyses books, films and comments on online fan-fiction.
