Metodika mapuje předpoklady a navrhuje postupy pro práci s poznatky o rodinách imigrantů při hodnocení sociálních a ekonomických dopadů migrace a integrace rodin na fungování státu a potenciálních nároků migrace rodin na sociální systémy. Vyhodnocování dopadů migrace a integrace na sociální systémy z rodinné perspektivy umožňuje věnovat pozornost skutečnostem, které nelze dostatečně reflektovat pouze při využití individuálních údajů (např. velikost rodin, počet zaopatřených a nezaopatřených dětí v rodinách žijících v ČR a v jiných zemích, ekonomická aktivita a příjmová situace rodinné jednotky, využívání dávkových systémů ze systému sociálního zabezpečení apod.). S využitím poznatků o rodinách cizinců může sociální infrastruktura společnosti (trh práce, vzdělávací instituce, zdravotnictví, sociální zabezpečení, kultura apod.) lépe reagovat na stávající trendy. Metodika sleduje některé podobné cíle a v některých ohledech navazuje na metodiku pro tvorbu informačního systému o rodinách imigrantů. The methodology investigates prerequisites and proposes methods of utilization of data on immigrant families for the purpose of assessment of social and economic demands of migration and integration. The family perspective enables to analyse some aspects which can’t be taken into account if only individual data on foreigners are considered. This covers entries such as: size of the family, number of children living either in the Czech Republic and/or abroad (both dependent children and children with their own incomes), economic activity and incomes of the family unit, proportion of social allowances in total income etc.). This promotes better understanding to recent trends and allows appropriate adaptation of social infrastructure (in the area of labour market, educational institutions, health system, social security, cultural programmes etc.). Methodology pursuits some similar aims and further develops preceding methodology for the Constitution of the Information System on Immigrant Families from the Third Countries.

K tvorbě fundované imigrační politiky, která bude podporovat integraci imigrantů a sociální kohezi, je třeba informací o skladbě a fungování imigrantských rodin. Tomuto účelu by měl sloužit informační systém o rodinách imigrantů ze třetích zemí, ze kterého by bylo možno odvozovat představy o budoucích společenských potřebách a investicích spojených s imigrací do České republiky. Informační systém by měl usnadnit získávání dat o struktuře rodin imigrantů, místu jejich pobytu a jejich potřebách. Tyto informace jsou velmi významné při tvorbě a implementaci státní integrační politiky reflektující kapacitu sociální infrastruktury (trhu práce, institucí pro přípravu na povolání, základního, středního i vysokého školství, zdravotnictví, sociálního zabezpečení, kultury apod.). To create a solid immigration policy that will promote integration and social cohesion immigrants, we need information about the composition and functioning of immigrant families. For this purpose should serve an information system on families of immigrants from third countries from which it would be possible to derive ideas about future societal needs and investments associated with immigration to the Czech Republic. Information system should facilitate the collection of data on the structure of families of immigrants, their place of residence and their needs. This information is very important in the development and implementation of national integration policy reflecting the capacity of social infrastructure (labour market, institutions for vocational training, primary, secondary and tertiary education, healthcare, social security, culture, etc.).
