This diploma thesis deals with a linguistic analysis of 32 German letters sent as a part of correspondence of the chambers of commerce and trade in the Czechoslovak Republic from 1930-1935. In addition to the textual analysis of the texts themselves, the thesis summarises the political and economic background with overlapping implications for national relations in the Bohemia region in the period after the dissolution of the Habsurg Monarchy. It also examines the contribution and essence of the chambers of commerce and trade. The core of this work consists in a textual analysis of the collected archival material from the National Archives in Prague. The aim of this thesis is to compare the linguistics and text linguistics phenomenon of individual senders and to analyse the German language in the context of the chamber of commerce and trade's dealings. Tato diplomová práce se zabývá lingvistickou analýzou 32 německy psaných dopisů odeslaných v rámci korespondence obchodních a živnostenských komor na území Československé republiky z let 1930-1935. Práce kromě textologické analýzy samotných textů shrnuje politicko-hospodářské pozadí s přesahem do národních vztahů na území českých zemí z doby po zániku Habsburské monarchie. Zároveň se zabývá přínosem a podstatou obchodních a živnostenských komor. Jádro této práce spočívá v textologické analýze nashromážděných archiválií z Národního archivu v Praze. Cílem této práce je srovnání jazykových a textologických zvyklostí jednotlivých odesílatelů a rozbor německého jazyka v rámci styku obchodních a živnostenských komor.

The topic of this bachelor's thesis is a commented translation of selected parts of the brochure "Psychohygiena pro tlumočníky" of the Czech chamber for sign interpreter. The thesis consists of a practical and theoretical part: the first part is the translation of the selected original Czech text into German and the second parts is the commentary on the translation. The commentary consists of the translational analysis of the original text on the method of Christiane Nord. Further, the commentary shows the chosen translation method and the following translation problems and their solution. After the conclusion, there is also a glossary of special terms of the translated text. Key words: sign language interpreter, mental hygiene Předmět bakalářské práce je komentovaný překlad vybraných částí z bulletinu "Psychohygiena pro tlumočníky" od České komory tlumočníku znakového jazyka. Práce má praktickou a teoretickou část: první část tvoří překlad výchozího textu z češtiny do němčiny a druhou čast tvoří komentář k překladu. Součastí komentáře jsou překladatelská analýza výchozího textu podle metody Christiane Nordové a dále překladatelská metoda, posuny, překladatelské problémy a jejich řešení. This paper deals with the journalistic work and the single novel of Justin Steinfeld (1886 Kiel - 1970 Baldock), who fled in 1933 from Hamburg to Czechoslovakia. This work focuses on his articles, which he wrote during his Prague exile (1933-1939) for the German speaking magazine Die Wahrheit and on his only novel Ein Mann liest Zeitung (1984, 2020) which tells the story of an exile who, like Steinfeld fled from Hamburg to Prague from the Nazis. The first part of the thesis introduces Czechoslovakia as an exile country for refugees from Germany in the 1930s and cultural activities of the exiles are shortly commented on, especially in relation to leftist and anti-fascist circles. This is followed by a short portrait of Justin Steinfeld. The main part of this work consists of chapters about the work of Steinfeld. First, his articles for Die Wahrheit are analysed. The attempt is made to characterize his journalistic writing, to find and describe the thematic focuses of his articles. The next chapter is devoted to the novel Ein Mann liest Zeitung and describes how the subject of exile is presented in it. The concept of exile is understood in different ways - firstly as a (geographical and social) space, secondly as a social status and thirdly as a psychological status. Finally, the magazine articles... Předkládaná práce se zabývá novinářskou prací a románem Justina Steinfelda (1886 Kiel - 1970 Baldock), který v roce 1933 uprchnul z Hamburku do Československa. Práce se koncentruje na jeho články, které napsal během svého pražského exilu v letech 1933 až 1939 pro časopis Die Wahrheit, a na jeho jediný román Ein Mann liest Zeitung (1984, 2020), jenž vypráví příběh exulanta, který, stejně jako Steinfeld, uprchnul před nacisty z Hamburku do Prahy. V první části práce je popsáno Československo jakožto exilová země pro uprchlíky z Německa ve třicátých letech 20. století a rovněž je okomentována kulturní činnost exulantů především s ohledem na levicově a antifašisticky orientované kruhy. Následuje stručný portrét Justina Steinfelda. Jádro práce tvoří kapitoly o Steinfeldově díle. Nejprve jsou analyzovány jeho články pro časopis Die Wahrheit, přičemž se práce snaží charakterizovat jeho žurnalistické psaní a vysledovat a popsat tematická těžiště jeho článků. Další kapitola je věnována Steinfeldově románu Ein Mann liest Zeitung, přičemž je ukázáno, jakým způsobem je v románu zobrazeno téma exilu. In the theoretical part of this work, the phenomenon of synonymy is defined and, based on a selection of specialized literature, its properties are described. In the practical part, Theodor Commichau's translation of Iwan Turgenev's selected Poems in Prose is critically analyzed, with synonymy in the original text as well as in the translation being in focus. In addition to the analysis, comments and suggestions are made with regard to alternative translation options. V teoretické části této práce je na základě odborné literatury definován fenomén synonymie a jsou popsány jeho vlastnosti. V praktické části je kriticky analyzován překlad vybraných Básní v próze Iwana Turgeněva, provedený Theodorem Commichauem, přičemž předmětem analýzy je synonymie v původním textu i v překladu. Analýza je opatřena komentářem a návrhy alternativních možností překladu.

This master's thesis analyses the lexicographical treatment of interjections in current German- Czech commercial dictionaries, special focus is laid on user aspect. The goal of this thesis is to provide an overview of possible issues in the lexicographical processing of interjections. The focus is on both the macrostructure with the selection of lemmas and microstructure of the respective analysed entries. Compared to corpus data and to monolingual dictionaries, problems include especially part of speech specifications, selection of Czech translation equivalents, lack of examples demonstrating the pragmatic function of the interjections, or insufficient metalanguage comments. The example of the dictionary entry of the lemma ach shows which steps and decisions must be made by the lexicographical work. At the end, concrete solutions for the lexicographical treatment of interjections are proposed, such as the exact classification of the respective meanings, metalanguage comments on these meanings, necessary attention to the prosodic and syntactic properties, and dialogical examples. Předkládaná diplomová práce analyzuje dosavadní lexikografické zpracování interjekcí v německo-českých komerčních slovnících, nahlíženo je na ně především z uživatelského hlediska. Cílem této práce je podat přehled o možných problémech při lexikografickém zpracování interjekcí. Důraz je kladen jak na makrostrukturu a výběr lemmat, tak i na mikrostrukturu slovníkových hesel. Jako problematické se ve srovnání s korpusovými daty a jednojazyčnými slovníky ukazují především údaje o slovních druzích, volba českých překladových ekvivalentů, chybějící příklady, jež by exemplifikovaly pragmatickou funkci interjekcí, či chybějící metajazykové komentáře. Na příkladu vzorového slovníkového hesla ach je ukázáno, jaké konkrétní kroky a rozhodnutí jsou nezbytné při lexikografické práci. Nakonec jsou prezentovány konkrétní návrhy řešení pro zpracování interjekcí v akademickém slovníku, jako je přesné rozdělení jednotlivých významů, metajazykové komentáře k těmto významům, nutné zachycení prozodických a syntaktických vlastností či uvádění dialogických příkladů.

Die Arbeit beschäftigt sich mit der tschechoslowakischen Staatsbürgerschaft der Brüder Heinrich und Thomas Mann und deren Bezug zu der tschechischen Stadt Proseč. Die Arbeit wird mit den Hauptinformationen über die Brüder Mann und ihre Emigration eingeleitet. Dann konzentriert sich die Arbeit darauf, wie sie die Staatsbürgerschaft in der Tschechoslowakei erhalten haben und warum gerade dank Proseč. Das Thema wird dann aus zwei Perspektiven aufgefasst - offiziell und inoffiziell. In der offiziellen Perspektive wird über die tschechoslowakischen Organisationen geschrieben, die beim Erwerb der Staatsbürgerschaft geholfen haben, und die Bedingungen für gewöhnliche Emigranten und für die bekannten Schriftsteller Mann werden verglichen. In der inoffiziellen Perspektive werden Proseč, der Besuch Thomas Manns in Proseč, die Beziehung der Brüder Mann zu Proseč und zur Tschechoslowakei und ihr Empfang in Proseč dargestellt und diskutiert. Am Ende der Arbeit werden die Folgen der tschechoslowakischen Staatsbürgerschaft der Brüder Mann im Kontext ihrer Emigrationsgeschichte beschrieben. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org) Práce se zabývá československým občanstvím bratrů Heinricha a Thomase Mannových, které získali díky domovskému právu v českém městečku Proseč. Práce je uvedena informacemi o bratrech Mannech a o jejich emigraci. Poté se zaměřuje na to, jak se jim podařilo české občanství získat a proč zrovna díky Proseči. Na toto téma pak nahlíží ze dvou hledisek - oficiálního a neoficiálního. V "oficiální" části jsou popsané československé organizace, které Mannům s novým občanstvím pomáhaly a jsou srovnány podmínky pro obyčejné emigranty s podmínkami pro slavné spisovatele Manny. Z "neoficiálního" hlediska se práce zaměřuje na Proseč, návštěvu bratrů Mannů v Proseči, jejich přijetí v tomto městečku a na vztah k Proseči a Československu. This thesis deals with the motif of communal dining in selected short stories by Wolfgang Borchert and Peter Bichsel. Firstly, attention is drawn to the importance of communal dining through the prism of culture and religion. Then both authors are introduced, and the socio- historical context of their works is discussed. The selected short stories are precisely analyzed and interpreted with reference to the central motif of communal dining. The aim of the thesis is to present a previously unexplored representation of the great cultural topic in the small format of short stories. Tato práce se zabývá motivem společenství u stolu ve vybraných povídkách Wolfganga Borcherta a Petera Bichsela. Nejdříve bude pozornost soustředěna na význam motivu společenství u stolu prizmatem kultury a náboženství. Dále budou představeni oba autoři a jejich díla budou zasazena do společensko-historického kontextu. Jednotlivé povídky budou detailně analyzovány a interpretovány ve vztahu k centrálnímu motivu společenství u stolu. Práce si klade za cíl představit doposud neprostudované ztvárnění onoho velkého kulturního tématu na formátu krátkých textů v podobě vybraných povídek.

Within my bachelor's thesis I concern myself with the analysis of transgressives and nonattributive participles. In the theory section I indicate their key attributes, from which follow the common features between the individual forms, which form the basis of my initial thesis. In the methodology section I describe the means and methods used during the individual analyses. In the first analysis I try to find out in a contrastive way, if there is a one hundred percent overlap between specific transgressive forms and specific participle forms and in case there is not I try to establish the possible reasons for an overlap between transgressives and the other forms. Moreover I try to figure out, being inspired by the model from Emil Dvořák, whether there is a visible decline in use of the transgressives, whose number I calculate by means of the second analysis. After the analysis section I evaluate the findings made within the both analyses and describe what it implies. In the end I summarize the results and bring my thesis to a close. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org) In meiner Bachelorarbeit beschäftige ich mich mit der Analyse der Transgressive und der nicht-attributiven Partizipien. In dem theoretischen Teil deute ich ihre Schlüsseleigenschaften an, aus welchen sich dann gemeinsame Züge zwischen den einzelnen Formen ergeben, die die Basis meiner Ausgangsthese bilden. In dem methodologischen Teil beschreibe ich die Mittel und Verfahren, die bei den einzelnen Analysen angewendet werden. Bei der ersten Analyse versuche ich dann auf kontrastive Weise erfahren, ob bestimmte Transgressivformen mit bestimmten Partizipformen hundertprozentig übereinstimmen und wenn nicht, was sind die mögliche Gründe für die Übereinstimmung der Transgressive mit den anderen Formen. Überdies bemühe ich mich nach dem Muster von Emil Dvořák festzustellen, ob es auch hier im Falle der Transgressive zu einem Schwund kommt. Das Gleiche versuche ich auch bei den nicht-attributiven Partizipien zu tun, deren Anzahl ich mithilfe der zweiten Analyse berechne. Nach der analytischen Teil werte ich die Befunde innerhalb der beiden Analysen aus und beschreibe, was sich daraus ergibt. The bachelor's thesis deals with onomastic research and analysis of proper names of German origin and their development in the first half of the 20th century in the mining town of Dobšiná. The incentive to choose this topic was a visit to the Evangelical Church in Dobšiná, in which is located a memorial plaque with the names of 112 victims of the Přerov massacre, which was not discussed until the change of socio-political conditions in 1989. The research is carried out on the basis of data from parish register from the interwar period, stored in the Evangelical Church. The aim of the work is based on previous research to briefly process the history of the town of Dobšiná and its demographic structure with emphasis on the development of the German ethnic group. To get thoroughly acquainted with the origin, development, division of proper names in the central areas of the German language on the basis of professional literature and to map the occurrence of surnames of German origin in the interwar period in Dobšiná, which will be subsequently linguistically characterized. Bakalárska práca sa venuje onomastickému výskumu a analýze vlastných mien nemeckého pôvodu a ich vývinu v 1. polovici 20. storočia v banskom meste Dobšiná. Podnetom k voľbe tejto témy bola návšteva evanjelického kostola v Dobšinej, v ktorom sa nachádza pamätná tabuľa s menami 112 obetí přerovského masakru, o ktorom sa do zmeny spoločensko- politických pomerov v r. 1989 mlčalo. Výskum sa realizuje na základe údajov z matrík z medzivojnového obdobia uložených v evanjelickom kostole. Cieľom práce je vychádzajúc z doterajších výskumov stručne spracovať dejiny mesta Dobšiná a jeho demografickú štruktúru s dôrazom na vývin nemeckého etnika. Dôkladne sa oboznámiť so vznikom, vývinom, členením vlastných mien v centrálnych oblastiach nemeckého jazyka na báze odbornej literatúry a zmapovať výskyt priezvisk nemeckého pôvodu v Dobšinej v skúmanom období, ktoré budú následne lingvisticky charakterizované.

This diploma thesis deals with the topic of the variation in genitive and dative government. The subject of analysis are the following thirteen prepositions: (an)statt, innerhalb, längs, mangels, mittels, trotz, während, wegen, zugunsten/zu Gunsten; binnen, dank, laut, zufolge. The aim of the thesis is to capture the use of the mentioned prepositions as detailed as possible. The focus is on the question and the attempt to determine in which cases within the variation in prepositional case government in the written language one or the other case is preferred and whether certain tendencies or systematics common to all thirteen prepositions can be followed. The prepositions are analysed by means of nine selected sources (both dictionaries and grammar books) and German reference corpus. Tato diplomová práce pojednává o genitivním a dativním kolísání pádu. Předmětem analýzy je následujících třináct předložek: (an)statt, innerhalb, längs, mangels, mittels, trotz, während, wegen, zugunsten/zu Gunsten; binnen, dank, laut, zufolge. Cílem práce je co nejpodrobněji zprostředkovat užívaní uvedených předložek. Centrální je zde otázka a pokus o určení, ve kterých případech je v psaném jazyce upřednostňován jeden nebo druhý pád, a zda lze v rámci kolísavého užívání vysledovat určité tendence nebo systematiku společnou pro všech třináct předložek. Předložky jsou zkoumány pomocí devíti vybraných zdrojů (slovníků i gramatik) a Německého referenčního korpusu.
