Through the Green Study Room pilot project, the thesis explores the integration of a circular bio-waste management model at the Otava College under the administration of Charles University. The thesis describes the circular economy as an essential method for the efficient management of bio-waste, which is supported in particular by legislation and strategic goals for sustainable development of states, cities and institutions. A questionnaire survey was conducted to assess the awareness and interest of students in establishing a community vermicomposting site. The reconstruction of the study room creates a space to prevent the generation of biodegradable waste on the dormitory premises. Vermicomposting was used as an eco-friendly approach that takes advantage of earthworm's natural ability to convert organic waste into nutrient-rich compost. The establishment of a community shared study room sets the stage for ongoing projects in the areas of centralized bio-waste management, student education, and social-psychological phenomena associated with the transition to a more sustainable society. It also creates an ideal space for seminars, workshops and activities of the university in the field of improving the living standards of students staying at Otava College. Prostredníctvom pilotného projektu Zelená študovňa, práca skúma integráciu modelu obehového hospodárstva bioodpadu na koleji Otava pod správou Karlovej Univerzity. V práci sa opisuje obehové hospodárstvo ako nevyhnutný spôsob pre efektívne nakladanie s bioodpadom, ktorý má podporu najmä zo strany legislatívny a strategických cieľov udržateľného rozvoja štátov, miest a inštitúcii. Dotazníkovým prieskumom bol vyhodnotené povedomie a záujem študentov o zriadenie komunitného vermikompostoviska. Rekonštrukciou miestnosti študovne sa vytvára priestor ako predchádzať vzniku biologicky rozložiteľného odpadu priamo v objekte koleje. Vermikompostovanie sa použilo ako ekologický prístup, ktorý využíva prirodzené schopnosti dážďoviek premieňať organický odpad na kompost bohatý na živiny. Zriadením komunitnej zdieľanej študovne sa vytvára pôda pre pokračujúce projekty v oblasti centralizovaného nakladania s bioodpadom, vzdelávania študentov a sociálno- psychologických javov spojených s prechodom v udržateľnejšiu spoločnosť. Variabilita vlastností výsypkových substrátů po těžbě uhlí a její dopady pro obnovu dotčených území

The extraction of mineral resources, including coal, is important for the functioning of industrial society, but it also brings a number of negative environmental impacts. The waste material generated by mining and collected on the spoil heaps poses an enormous risk to the surrounding ecosystems and interferes with all components of the environment. The aim of my thesis is to describe in more detail the issues related to the diversity of the properties of tailings substrates and the resulting consequences. The nature of spoil substrates differs considerably from conventional ones. Each of the wide range of characteristics of alluvial soils brings with it certain pitfalls that are problematic in the context of restoring the ecosystem to a natural state. Key words: open-cast coal mining, impacts of overburden, damage to ecosystems Extrakcia nerastných surovín, medzi ktoré patrí uhlie, je dôležité pre fungovanie priemyselnej spoločnosti, zároveň ale prináša radu negatívnych environmentálnych dopadov. Odpadný materiál generovaný ťažbou zhromažďovaný na výsypkách predstavuje enormný risk na okolité ekosystémy a zasahuje do všetkých zložiek životného prostredia. Cieľom mojej práce je bližší popis problematiky týkajúcej sa diverzity vlastností výsypkových substrátov a z nich vyplývajúcich dôsledkov. Charakter výsypkových pod sa značne líši od tých bežných. Každá zo širokej škály vlastností výsypiek so sebou prináša určité úskalie, ktoré sú problematické v rámci obnovy ekosystému do prirodzeného stavu. (in English): The main goal of this bachelor's thesis is to approach and point out the events in Robert E. Lee's life and his decision, which influenced him to sign up for the Confederate side before the mere start of the Civil War. The work discusses Lee's youth, his studies and work before the war with Mexico, and also his family life. The subsequent work will be devoted to the Mexican- American War and the leading compromises. The Mexican-American war, in its consequences, was one of the main triggers of secession. The work will also discuss Robert E. Lee's view on slavery. (slovensky) Hlavným cieľom tejto bakalárskej práce je priblížiť a poukázať na udalosti v živote Roberta E. Leeho a jeho rozhodnutie, čo ho ovplyvnilo, že sa upísal pred sklonkom občianskej vojny na stranu Konfederácie. Práca rozoberie, Leeho mladosť, štúdia, prácu pred vojnou s Mexikom a rodinný život. Následné sa bude práca venovať, Mexicko-americkej vojne a kompromisom po tejto vojne. Mexicko-americká vojna svojimi dôsledkami bola, jedným so spúšťačom secesie. Práca taktiež rozoberie pohľad Roberta E. Leeho na otroctvo.

This work focuses on reviewing the function of Neuregulin 4 (Nrg4) and its receptor ErbB4 in various biological processes and disease states, including inflammation, cancer, metabolic diseases, and liver diseases. In metabolic diseases such as diabetes, Nrg4 may affect glucose metabolism and lipid homeostasis, but the exact mechanism of action is not yet well understood. Nrg4 and its receptor ErbB4 appear to be key factors in regulating inflammation and promoting cell survival. Moreover, in liver diseases, such as nonalcoholic fatty liver disease and nonalcoholic steatohepatitis, Nrg4 and ErbB4 seems to play a protective role. Overall, these findings highlight complex roles of Nrg4 and ErbB4 in a multitude of biological processes and disease states. Further research is needed to fully understand these relationships and their potential as diagnostic or therapeutic targets. Táto práca sa zameriava na prehľad funkcií Neuregulínu 4 (Nrg4) a jeho receptora ErbB4 pri zápale, rakovine, metabolických ochoreniach a ochoreniach pečene. Pri metabolických ochoreniach, ako je diabetes, môže Nrg4 ovplyvňovať metabolizmus glukózy a homeostázu lipidov, avšak presný mechanizmus pôsobenia ešte nie je dobre známy. Zdá sa, že Nrg4 a ErbB4 sú kľúčovými faktormi pri regulácii zápalu a podpore prežitia buniek. Pri ochoreniach pečene, ako sú nealkoholová tuková choroba pečene a nealkoholový steatohepatitída, sa zase ukazuje ich protektívna úloha. Celkovo tieto zistenia zdôrazňujú, že Nrg4 a ErbB4 majú komplexnú úlohu v množstve biologických procesov a chorobných stavov. Na úplne pochopenie týchto vzťahov a ich potenciálu ako diagnostických alebo terapeutických cieľov je potrebný ďalší výskum.

ServIS - webový systém pro firmy zabývající se opravami bagrů

The goal of this bachelor thesis was to create a software for small companies dealing with earthworks and excavation works, repairing and selling excavators, which do not have access to a suitable software solution for their activity. The solution to the work was based on consultations with the owner of one of these companies. The resulting web application, written using the Blazor Server framework, represents a solution to the problem. It is able to display the offer (excavators, additional equipment) and allows users to send inquiries (in the form of emails) to these offers. There is also an auction in the application, where repaired excavators can be auctioned. Users can also create an account in the application. The listed functionalities can be used by both logged-in and non-logged-in users. Regular registered users do not have to fill in information about themselves in the forms when inquiring about the offer. Logged- in administrators can manage the page, i.e. add new, edit and delete existing offers, reply to messages, etc. Cieľom tejto práce bolo vytvoriť softvérové dielo pre malé firmy zaoberajúce sa zemnými a výkopovými prácami, opravou a predajom bagrov, ktoré nemajú prístup k vhodnému softvérovému riešeniu pre svoju činnosť. Pri riešení práce sme vychádzali z konzultácií s majiteľom jednej z takýchto firiem. Vzniknutá webová aplikácia, napísaná pomocou frameworku Blazor Server, predstavuje riešenie problému. Je schopná zobraziť ponuku (bagre, prídavné zariadenia) a umožňuje užívateľom odosielať dopyt (v podobe emailov) na tieto ponuky. V aplikácii tiež existuje aukcia, kde sa môžu dražiť opravené bagre. Užívatelia si tiež môžu v aplikácií vytvoriť účet. Vymenované funkcionality môžu využívať prihlásení aj neprihlásení užívatelia. Bežní prihlásení užívatelia nemusia vyplňovať informácie o sebe vo formulároch pri dopytovaní sa na ponuku. Prihlásení administrátori majú možnosť spravovať stránku, t. j. pridávať nové, editovať a mazať existujúce ponuky, odpovedať na správy atď.

Traditional biomonitoring methods are compared in this thesis with a modern approach which uses fluctuation asymmetry to measure developmental instability and refines biomonitoring methods in order to emphasis the impact of toxigenic substances in freshwater environments. The next section provides information about different types of pollution, with the focus primarily on heavy metal contamination and the impact from increased concentration of these metals on diatom frustules, green algae and other protist organisms. The most common cause of teratological changes comes from heavy metals and the impact of them along with toxicity are analyzed here. What changes is the teratology at the intracellular level and the protist organism morphology, where the cause of the changes can be traced to these heavy metals. The thesis also compares the impact of the heavy metals among different protist organism groups and between each of them. It contains suggested phycoremediation, which in the future could be an ecological solution for the cleanup of rivers and streams. Keywords: fluctuation asymmetry, developmental instability, geometric morphometrics, teratologies, diatoms, morphological asymmetries, biomonitoring Práca porovnáva tradičné metódy biomonitoringu a moderný prístup využívajúci fluktuačnú asymetriu ako meradlo vývojovej nestability na spresnenie metód biomonitoringu s dôrazom na vplyv toxikogénnych látok v sladkovodnom prostredí. V ďalšej kapitole sú informácie o formách znečistenia, pričom práca je primárne zameraná na znečistenie ťažkými kovmi a analýzu vplyvu zvýšených koncentrácií týchto kovov na rozsievky, zelené riasy a iné protistné organizmy. Ťažké kovy sú najčastejšou príčinou vzniku teratologických zmien, preto sú uvedené teratológie na vnútrobunkovej úrovni a v morfológii protistných organizmov, ktoré tieto kovy spôsobujú. Ďalej sú porovnávané vplyvy ťažkých kovov medzi jednotlivými skupinami protistných organizmov navzájom. V rámci niektorých skupín sú uvedené návrhy fykoremediačných opatrení, ktoré by mohli byť do budúcnosti ekologickým riešením čistenia vodných tokov. Statistické testy normality

The aim of this paper is to present the well-known normality tests used in practice and to compare them. The first chapter consists of the basic concepts and properties of the nor- mal distribution. In the second chapter 6 normality tests are treated, namely Kolmogorov- Smirnov, Lilliefors, Shapiro-Wilk, Anderson-Darling, D'Agostino-Pearson and Jarque- Bera. For each test, test statistic and shape of critical region are given, among others. The third chapter, with empirical study, contains two parts. In the first part, nature of the study is briefly explained and level of significance declared by tests is empirically-checked. In the second part, power of tests is empirically compared against various alternatives and the results are discussed. 1 Cieľom tejto práce je predstaviť známe, v praxi používané testy normality a porovnať ich. Prvá kapitola pozostáva zo základných pojmov a vlastnosti normálneho rozdelenia. V druhej kapitole je spracovaných 6 testov normality, konkréte Kolmogorov-Smirnov, Lilliefors, Shapiro-Wilk, Anderson-Darling, D'Agostino-Pearson a Jarque-Bera. Pre každý test je okrem iného uvedená testová štatistika a tvar kriticého oboru. Tretia kapitola s empirickou štúdiou obsahuje dve časti. V prvej časti je stručne vysvetlený charakter štúdie a empiricky skontrolovaná deklarovaná hladina testov. V druhej časti je empiricky porovnaná sila testov proti rôznym alternatívam a diskusia výsledkov. 1

This bachelor's thesis introduces the poetess Aḥlám al-Naṣr, who is one of the prominent figures in the field of the jihadist poetry. Drawing on available information and publications, it offers an insight to her life and sheds light on the basic ideas and circumstances that influenced the author in her work. At the same time, the work addresses the topic of the relationship between the Islamic State and popular culture. The primary focus is on poetry and its use, its functioning within propaganda, and the way in which jihadist ideas are reflected in it. The thesis aims to identify the core concepts, images and key ideological terms that ISIS works with and then interpret them in the context of the poetic work of Aḥlám al-Naṣr. Bakalárska práca prestavuje poetku Aḥlám al-Naṣr, ktorá sa radí k významným osobnostiam na poli džihádistickej poézie. Na základe dostupných informácii a publikácií ponúka pohľad na jej život a objasňuje základné myšlienky a okolnosti, ktoré autorku v jej tvorbe ovplyvnili. Zároveň sa práca zaoberá témou vzťahu Islamského štátu a populárnej kultúry. Primárne sa sústredí na poéziu, jej využitie a fungovanie v rámci propagandy a spôsob, akým sú v nej reflektované džihádistické myšlienky. Práca si kladie za cieľ identifikovať základné koncepty, obrazy a kľúčové ideologické pojmy, s ktorými ISIS pracuje a následne ich interpretovať v kontexte básnického diela Aḥlám al-Naṣr.

Aplikace pro správu kolekcí mapových objektů

The main goal of this thesis is to design, implement and test a web application that is used for searching and managing map objects. The application is inspired by successful projects such as Google Maps, OpenStreetMap and Mapy.cz, but it is also enriched with new functionalities. The application provides users with various options for searching map objects based on category selection, defining an area and application of different filters. The user can save map objects to one of his collections and subsequently man- age the saved map objects. For each saved map object, the application allows defining the visit time or adding notes. Additionally, the application provides information about individual map objects, such as an image, description, or a link to a Wikipedia article about the given object. The Wikidata project was chosen as the data source. Informa- tion about map objects is obtained from Wikidata using SPARQL queries. These queries were sent to the Wikidata Query Service through the SPARQLWrapper library, which also extracted the data. The acquired data was stored in a MySQL database. The appli- cation is implemented as a Single-page application, using the React library for the user interface and the Flask library for the server-side. The user interface of the application is written in TypeScript,... Hlavním cílem práce je navhrnout, implementovat a otestovat webovou aplikaci, která slouží k vyhledávání a správě mapových objektů. Aplikace je inspirována stávajícími úspěšnými projekty jako GoogleMaps, OpenStreetMap a Mapy.cz, ale zároveň je obo- hacena o nové funkcionality. Aplikace uživateli poskytuje různé možnosti vyhledávání mapových objektů na základě vyhledávání a výběru kategorie, vymezení oblasti a apli- kování různých filtrů. Uživatel si může uložit mapové objekty do jedné ze svých kolekcí a následně uložené mapové objekty spravovat. Pro každý uložený mapový objekt, aplikace umožní definovat čas navštívení objektu nebo poznamenat poznámky pro objekt. Apli- kace zároveň poskytuje informace jednotlivých mapových objektech jako obrázek, popis nebo odkaz na Wikipedia článek o daném objektu. Za datový zdroj byl zvolen projekt Wikidata. Informace o mapových objektech jsou z něj získány pomocí SPARQL dotazy. Ty byly zasílány na Wikidata Query Service prostřednictvím knihovny SPARQLWrap- per, která tato data také extrahovala. Získaná data byla uložena do MySQL databáze. Aplikace je v podobě tvz. Single-page, implementovanou pomocí knihovny React pro uživatelské rozhraní a na straně serveru knihovnou Lahví. The field of education is rapidly evolving, with distance learning becoming an incre- asingly popular method of teaching. With the advent of technology, teachers are seeking effective ways to educate their students even without physical presence. In this bachelor's thesis, we are developing a web application that will allow teachers to create their own online educational courses. The proposed web application will provide teachers with a user-friendly interface for creating and customizing courses according to their specific needs and preferences. Tea- chers will be able to easily design course content, divide the course into chapters, incor- porate interactive components, and much more. The application will create an interactive learning environment for both students and the wider public involved in the course "AI v kontextu", which is the focus of this project. The flexibility of the application will allow students to choose when and where they participate in the course, while the pace of acquiring knowledge will adapt to their individual learning speed. The attractiveness of studying is enhanced by the ability to engage in shared activities such as polling, verifying acquired knowledge, and receiving feedback through knowledge quizzes. The application is developed using the React framework and utilizes... Oblasť vzdelávania sa rýchlo vyvíja, pričom vzdelávanie na diaľku sa stáva čoraz popu- lárnejším spôsobom výučby. S príchodom technológií učitelia hľadajú efektívne spôsoby, ako vyučovať aj bez fyzickej prítomnosti svojich študentov. V tejto bakalárskej práci vy- tvárame webovú aplikáciu, ktorá umožní učiteľom vytvárať vlastné online vzdelávacie kurzy. Navrhovaná webová aplikácia poskytne učiteľom užívateľsky prívetivé rozhranie na vytváranie a prispôsobenie kurzov podľa ich špecifických potrieb a preferencií. Učitelia budú môcť jednoducho navrhnúť obsah kurzu, rozčlenenie kurzu na kapitoly, interaktívne komponenty a mnoho ďalšieho. Aplikácia vytvorí interaktívne vzdelávacie prostredie tak pre študentov ako aj pre širokú verejnosť zapojenú v kurze "AI v kontextu", ktorý je zadávateľom tohto projektu. Flexibilita aplikácie poskytuje študentom možnosť zvoliť si kedy a kde sa zapoja do kurzu, pričom rýchlosť osvojovania si vedomostí z kurzu sa prispôsobuje ich vlastnému tempu učenia sa. Atraktivitu štúdia zvyšuje možnosť zapájať sa do spoločných aktivít - zúčastňovať sa hlasovaní, overovať získané vedomosti a dostávať spätnú väzbu prostredníctvom vedomostných kvízov.
