Remote Control for Steam Engines Models

The aim of this project is to create a remote control for radio controlled model of steamboat. The entire device consists of two parts - a transmitter and receiver. Data transmission modules were selected from the company HopeFR communicating in a frequency band of 433 MHz. Currently the device is outfitted for steering a pair of model servo motors and five digital outputs. Simple adjustment facility can be extended as required. This study deals with detection of important points in derivate bioimpedance signal that may be further used in various medical applications, for example in calculation of the Pulse wave velocity. This work compares three detection methods. The best results were achieved by a detection with fixed interval. Algorithms that are dependent on constant bioimpedance and length of RR interval perform worse. Medical Image Segmentation Based on Graph Cut with Shape Prior

This paper deals with a graph-based image segmentation and its improvement by using the information about the shape of the object for creating specific graph architecture (template). Improved method allows the cut to prefer more complicated structures, especially when the image contains a lot of noise and the object is hardly indistinguishable from the background. Algorithm was tested on simulated data and real CT and MRI images of vertebra and brain in 2D. Method was also extended to 3D further purposes. This work deals with complete design of a system for simulating shooting sport. Key aspects of the design are similarity with shooting from ordinary mechanical weapons, multifunctionality and low costs. The core of the simulation is a laser transmitter in the weapon and a photosensitive receiver in the target. The final version of the system is controlled by a group of microcontrollers and provides several types of feedback. For example lighting the place that has been hit with LED, sound signals, displaying shooting results, or evaluating them with a computer. Designing a Directional Acoustic Transmitter

In this paper the parametric transmission of sound through an amplitude-modulated ultrasonic wave, using automatic demodulation in a non-linear environment is discussed. Methods for the processing of the transmitted signal are presented; these techniques employ modified amplitude modulation to suppress the environmental effects, which otherwise distort the signal. A special emphasis is placed on the mathematical instruments describing the parametric sound beam transmission in a non-linear medium. Within our research, we fabricated a parametric speaker consisting of 50 ultrasonic acoustic transducers with the resonant frequency of 40 kHz. The functionality of the acoustic source was verified via measurement of the spatial radiation characteristics and through determination of the total harmonic distortion (THD). In order to control the parametric speaker, a digital element comprising a sampler, a transducer of the input transmitted signal, and a microcontroller to preprocess this signal and to facilitate the amplitude modulation of the ultrasonic carrier wave is designed. The applied algorithms were analyzed to establish their computational intensity; such an analysis enabled us to select a microprocessor basis suitable for the implementation of the signal processing algorithms. This article deals with system for fast waveform generation and synchronous data acquisition. System is used for evaluation of optical sensors by sweep through narrow band light source. The DAQ system use dual core ARM processor with build in FPGA array. We can achieve direct sharing memory between ARM core and AD/DA periphery through SoC architecture.
