Teaching grammar through song-based activities

The bachelor thesis deals with creating song-based activities for the students of the stage 2 of the elementary education. The activities are aimed at teaching grammar with special attention directed to explaining and practicing the difference between the present perfect simple and past simple. The theoretical part defines the key concepts and terms needed for the practical part, including the communicative competence, the framework education program for elementary education, the present perfect simple together with the past simple, using songs as authentic materials to teach grammar and lesson planning. The practical part is focused on individual activities that are constructed and inspected based on the outcomes of the theoretical part.

The bachelor thesis is focused on the creation and use of the Individual Learning Plan for the teaching English to a learner with dyslexia. The thesis is divided into two parts. Problems of dyslexia, its definitions, history and research, approaches and methods to overcome it, are analysed in the theoretical part which ends with the main focus on the Curriculum and the documents belonging to it in the connection with the Individual Learning Plan. The second part of the bachelor thesis is focused on the practical possibilities in use of the Individual Learning Plan in the real school environment. The aim is to ascertain if the backup given to both, the learner and the teacher is sufficient and what is the real function of the Individual Learning Plan in practice.

Sentence Adverbials in Written Academic Discourse

This bachelor thesis deals with sentence adverbials specifically in written academic discourse. The first chapter is dedicated to explaining the basic term sentence adverbial and its function and types. The second chapter focuses on conjuncts, their division by function and describing their purpose. The following chapter contains the description of disjuncts and their division by function and purpose as well. The last chapter of theoretical part is focused on written academic discourse in relationship to sentence adverbials. The aim of the practical part is to focus on frequency as well as positioning of sentence adverbials in academic texts written by native English speakers in comparison to non-natives.

Bakalářská práce se zabývá užitím anglických modálních sloves vyjadřujících epistemickou modalitu v diskursu novinových zpráv. V práci je popsána modalita s jejími hlavními kategoriemi spolu s modálními slovesy, které jsou později analyzovány. Hlavní zaměření práce jsou anglická modální slovesa, která vyjadřují různé stupně jistoty. Dále je představen diskurs novinových zpráv. Analýza novinových článků se zaměřuje na popis kontextů, ve kterém se modální slovesa vyskytují s ohledem na funkce diskursu novinových zpráv.

Trajectory Tracking of Differential Drive Mobile Robot by Model Predictive Control

V práci je navrženo dvouúrovňové řízení pohybu mobilního dvoukolového robotu zajišťující sledování známé trajektorie. V obou úrovních je použit prediktivní regulátor s uvažováním omezení. Pro návrh řízení ve vyšší úrovni vycházející z kinematického modelu (závislost polohy a orientace robotu na jeho aktuální tangenciální a úhlové rychlosti) byly vytvořeny dva nelineární modely chyby sledování známé trajektorie. Pro návrh řízení v nižší úrovni a pro možnost simulačního ověření celého řízení robotu byl vytvořen metodou matematicko-fyzikální analýzy lineární dynamický model robotu popisující závislost jeho tangenciální a úhlové rychlosti na napětích elektromotorů pohánějící obě kola.
Simulačně byly porovnány průběhy řízení pro různé struktury řízení i regulátory. Pozornost byla věnována zejména vlivu zanedbání dynamiky robotu a přínosu prediktivních regulátorů oproti standardně používaným řešením jak v kinematické tak i dynamické úrovni. Výsledky simulací ukazují, že prediktivní regulátor dynamické části, kromě respektování zadaných omezení, také ovlivňuje kinematickou část a zvyšuje celkovou kvalitu regulace.

The bachelor thesis deals with Tony Hillerman's detective novels, particularly how ethnic issues are depicted in chosen novels. The thesis characterizes Hillerman's work and sets it into the historical and literal context and the term ethnicity is defined. The means by which Hillerman depicts the ethnicity in the novels are divided into several sections and analyzed. The paper also describes how Hillerman is assessed by experts and readers.

With the 21st-century globalization, worldwide dangers to humankind coming from hundreds of years of expansionist, self-absorbed utilization practice are progressively perceived by the global community. Global warming, pollution, poverty, and other forms of biological and ecological problems becomes a modern issue, influencing international bodies and governments to create methods of sustainable living and keep up conventional human presence conditions in the world.
The thesis is devoted to comparison of sustainability indicators of four selected European countries, Sweden, Estonia, The Czech Republic and Poland, to uncover depict methods for sustainability fulfillment at the national level. By comparing these four counties with Eurostat's ten sustainable indicators sets, the thesis reveals the irregularities and barriers to sustainability. Ramifications of poor adherence to EU sustainability development rules and proposals for consistence change are examined in the last segments of the thesis.

Nejprve byly p.ipraveny a charakterizovany katalyzatory zalo.ene a m..natych komplexech blokoveho kopolymeru ?ż-methoxy- poly(ethylenglykol)-b-poly(L-glutamova kyselina) s (2R, 5S)- nebo s (2S, 5S)-5-isopropyl-5-methyl-2-(pyridin-2-yl)imidazolidin-4-onem. Reakce substituovanych aldehyd. s nitromethanem katalyzovana p.ipravenymi semi-rozpustnymi katalyzatory poskytovala odpovidajici 2-nitroalkoholy s vysokymi chemickymi vyt..ky (70.98%) a vysokou enantioselektivitou (61.92% ee). Polymerni katalyzator byl jednodu.e izolovan vysra.enim z reak.ni sm.si p.idavkem diethyletheru. Vysra.eny katalyzator izolovan pomoci centrifugy a recyklovan do 10 cykl.. Dale byl p.ipraven a charakterizovan recyklovatelny katalyzator zalo.eny na m..natem komplexu magnetickych nano.astic Fe3O4@SiO2 s (2R, 5S)-5-isopropyl-5-methyl-2-(pyridin-2-yl)imidazolidin-4-onem. Katalyzator byl charakterizovan pomoci DLS, FT-IR spektroskopie, SEM a mikroanalyzou. Reakce substituovanych aldehyd. s nitromethanem katalyzovana timto heterogennim katalyzatorem poskytovala odpovidajici 2-nitroalkoholy s vysokymi chemickymi vyt..ky (88.92%) a vysokou enantioselektivitou (68.94% ee). Reak.ni rychlost byla zpomalovana v d.sledku tvorby agregovanych forem nano.astic katalyzatoru (115.834 nm), a to v zavislosti na jejich hmotnostnim obsahu v reak.nim prost.edi. Katalyzator zalo.eny na magnetickych .asticich byl jednodu.e separovan z reak.ni sm.si aplikaci externiho magnetickeho pole a recyklovan do 10 cykl.. Po desetinasobne recyklaci katalyzatoru, byl pozorovan pokles vyt..ku ( 10%), zatimco enantioselektivita byla stale vysoka ( 94% ee). Vhodnost pou.iti katalyzatoru byla ov..ena p.i p.iprav. meziproduktu ur.eneho pro syntezu le.iva (R)-Salmeterolu (72%, 91% ee). Druha .ast diserta.ni prace byla zam..ena na p.ipravu a charakterizaci cileneho konjugatu isoniazidu s magnetickymi nano.asticemi Fe3O4@SiO2 (189 ?} 3 nm). Molekuly isoniazidu byly na povrch magnetickych nano.astic navazany prost.ednictvim kovalentni pH-sensitivni imino vazby. P.ipraveny konjugat byl charakterizovan pomoci rentgenove difrakce, SEM, dynamickeho rozptylu sv.tla, infra.ervene spektroskopie a mikroanalyzy. Konjugat uvol.oval isoniazid za podminek in vitro (pH = 4; 37 ??C; t. . 115 s). Dale byla studovana toxicita konjugatu Fe3O4@SiO2-isoniazid pomoci bun.k SK-BR-3 pou.itim systemu xCELLigence.

This master thesis deals with the teacher's use of the English language and mother tongue when solving discipline problems. It is divided into the theoretical and practical part. The main aim of the theoretical part is to introduce the essential concepts such as mother tongue, second language, discipline, uncooperative behaviour of learners, types of misbehaviour and strategies for dealing with misbehaviour. The practical part concentrates on a multiple-case study which was carried out at one selected basic school and three teachers of the English language were involved in the study.
