The flow of mixture vapors in the athmospheric column, comparison of new distributor and new tray
Říha, Zdeněk
2014 - English
The description of CFD analysis and the description of mixture gas flow in the atmospheric column are listed in the report. This article builds on previous work [1]. There were calculated two cases with original distributor and with GT-OPTIFLOW distributor, see [1]. This article adds next two cases. The case with adjusted GT-OPTIFLOW distributor (enclosure 1) and adjusted GT-OPTIFLOW distributor with newly designed the chimney tray and new layout of the packing bed (enclosure 2). The flow area of the newly designed chimney tray is smaller than for previous design (5,36m2 vs. 6,89m2). New layout of the packing bed has smaller flow area (28,27m2 vs. 29,35m2) and higher pressure drop (129 Pa vs. 80Pa) in comparison with last design of the packing bed also used in [1]. Keywords: mixture vapors; CFD analysis; velocity density pressure Available at various institutes of the ASCR

Water Jet 2013 - Research, Development, Applications. Proceedings of the Conference on Water Jetting Technology
Sitek, Libor; Klichová, Dagmar
2013 - English
Water Jet 2013 - Research, Development, Applications is the third international meeting of researchers, manufacturers, end-users, and all those interested in the technology of high-speed water jetting organized by the Department of material disintegration of the Institute of Geonics of the ASCR Ostrava. It provides a basis not only for exchange knowledge, ideas, information and experiences in areas of research, development and applications of water jets, as well as stimulating discussions, but also opportunity to make new acquaintances and friends. Number and diversity of papers submitted to the conference indicate permanent great interest in the water jetting technology and continuous expansion of water jets to new fields of human activities Keywords: pulsating water jet; high pressure water jet; abrasive water jet cutting Available on request at various institutes of the ASCR

Typology of Post-Industrial Landscape in Usti Region
Kolejka, Jaromír; Klimánek, M.
2012 - English
The location, mapping and typology of post-industrial landscapes (PIL) are the most common requirements of planners and decision makers on all levels of administration or resolution. Data on industrial heritage was applied for the identification and typology of the post-industrial landscapes on the regional level on the example of the Usti Region in the North of the Czech Republic. This Region was presumably the most industrialized territory in the country and was significantly changed after the structural changes in regional economy. The industrial heritage is represented by objects and traces in any landscape left by the industry in the previous period which is not serving the present industrial activities. Accessible data sources on man-made land, land use, brownfields, undermined sites, contaminated sites, industrial architectural heritage, etc. were applied to identify and classify the post-industrial landscape (PIL) in the study region using GIS technology. Keywords: post-industrial landscape; survey; genetic classification; depiction Available at various institutes of the ASCR

Multifunctional Rural Development
Zapletalová, Jana; Vaishar, Antonín
2012 - English
Rural area was traditionally connected with agriculture. To compare with urban, rural areas were considered to be backward, retarded, not worthy of an intensive research. But the situation has changed in the last time. Although cities are still centres of development in the globalization process, people in Europe leave them as a result of the processes of suburbanization and counter-urbanization. The share of rural population slowly increases in European countries. In addition, farmers form only a minority in contemporary rural settlements. The countryside is getting to be a multi-functional space. Secondary and tertiary sectors penetrate to the countryside. Tourism and agro-tourism develop in the large scale. Agriculture is getting focused more on the maintenance of landscape than with the production. On the other hand, environmental problems also have an impact on rural landscape. European countryside develops within the globalization process. Keywords: rural regions; rural development; sustainability; multifunctional space Available at various institutes of the ASCR

CFD code as a helper for the design of the water jet cutting device
Říha, Zdeněk
2011 - English
The efficiency of the amplification of high pressure pulsations in the geometric transition between larger and smaller pipes is analysed in this paper. Three types of geometric transitions are compared in the paper: step change, conical and radius change of pipe diameters. In other words, water flow in a device for water jet cleaning and cutting is evaluated. There are ultrasonic pulsations of high pressure in the given domain. Keywords: water jet cutting; ultrasonic pulsations of high pressure; geometric transition between pipes Available at various institutes of the ASCR

Biquadratic S-Patch in Bézier form
Kolcun, Alexej
2011 - English
Mutual conversions between triangular and quadrilateral meshes need the same degree of both diagonal and boundary curves of quadrilateral meshes. New approach to quadrilateral patches, S-Patches, offers such possibility. The Bézier approach of Smart patches (S-Patch) in the biquadratic case is analyzed. Dependencies among the control points are derived. BS-Patches are presented. Close relation between Bézier triangles and BSPatches is found. Condition for smooth concatenation of biquadratic BS-Patches is formulated. Keywords: parametric modeling; S-patch; Bézier patch; Bézier triangle Available at various institutes of the ASCR

Mass and energy inputs/outputs in the energy complex Dukovany-Dalešice and their impacts on the landscape
Hrádek, Mojmír
2011 - English
The Dukovany-Dalešice energy complex, situated west of Brno consist of the Dukovany nuclear power station (NPS) and of the Dalešice pumping power plant (PPP) with equalization reservoir. Geomorphic investigations were targeted the landforms and processes related with mass and energy inputs/outpust and their potential negative impacts. Individual landforms affected by negative impacts were analyzed in detail with using of a systém aproach. Inputs into NPS are limited to the water supply outputs are conncted with some negative response with direkt and indirect human impacts (erosion caused by waste water, equalization reservoir´s bank erosion, hillslopes stability exceeding and lanslide origin etc.).
