(in English) Initially, this master's degree thesis exposes the professional life and the evolution as author of Laura Restrepo, pointing out her work and direction in literature. Then, an introduction to the studied novel, Delirio, is presented and its style, the formal and narrative techniques and the synopsis is developed. Second part of the thesis analyses key elements of the novel that are thematically linked with madness (the room, childhood, seeing beyond, sexuality, lying, water, delirium and green color). The symbology of these elements is analyzed, which is later applied, in the last part of the thesis, to deepen the possible symbology of some concrete scenes of the novel, in which the protagonist decides to paint the walls of her apartment in green. Key words madness, delirium, symbol, symbolism, green, Laura Restrepo (česky) Tato diplomová práce se nejprve zabývá profesním životem Laury Restrepo a poukazuje na její práci a směr, kterým se v literatuře ubírá. Poté je představen úvod do studovaného románu Delirio a jeho styl, formální a narativní techniky a obsah. Druhá část práce analyzuje klíčové prvky obsažené v románu, které jsou tématicky spojeny s šílenstvím (místnost, dětství, vidění ‚za', sexualita, lež, voda, delirium a zelená barva). Analyzuje se možná symbolika těchto prvků, která je v poslední části práce aplikována na prohloubení možné symboliky některých konkrétních scén románu, ve kterých se hlavní postava rozhodne natírat zdi svého bytu na zeleno. The aim of the present Master`s Degree Thesis is to make an approximation to the Basque theme in the selected works of Pío Baroja. Concretely, it`s close to twenty short stories and the novels of the tetralogy Tierra vasca (Basque country), namely, La casa de Aizgorri, Zalacaín el aventurero, La leyenda de Jaun de Alzate y El mayorazgo de Labraz. First, the San Sebastian writer`s relation with the Basque country is presented, as well as his vision of his fatherland in the history context. Second, the presence of the Basque language - as known as euskera - in the works is described, as in the vocabulary, the onomastic or for example in phrases or in popular songs. Third, we study concrete Basque motives, such as the landscape, the cities and towns, the people, the history or the Basque sorcery and mythology. Cílem této diplomové práce je přiblížit baskické téma ve vybraném díle Pía Baroji. Konkrétně se jedná o téměř dvacet povídek a o romány z tetralogie Baskická země (Tierra vasca), tj. La casa de Aizgorri (Dům Aizgorriů), Zalacaín el aventurero (Zalacaín dobrodruh), La leyenda de Jaun de Alzate (Legenda o Jaunovi de Alzate) a El mayorazgo de Labraz (Dědičný pán z Labrazu). Nejprve je představen vztah spisovatele ze San Sebastiánu s Baskickem a jeho vize v historickém kontextu. Zadruhé se zaměřuje pozornost na přítomnost baskického jazyka v díle, a sice jak ve slovní zásobě a onomastice, tak například ve frázích či v písních. Zatřetí jsou studiu podrobeny konkrétní baskické elementy, jako je příroda, města a vesnice, lidé či čarodějnictví a mytologie.

Vliv Mírových sborů na rozvoj Kolumbie v letech 1964-1981

The purpose of this paper is to describe the work of the Peace Corps during its first period of volunteer activity in Colombia. To put it into perspective, the relations between Colombia and the United States throughout the XIX and XX centuries are analyzed in the first chapter. The second chapter offers a description of the American government's policies during the Cold War, with emphasis on the influence and scope of the Alliance for Progress in Latin America. The third chapter deals with the origin, operation, and development throughout the world of the main programs of the Peace Corps, as a semi-independent federal agency linked to the Presidency of the United States. The fourth and last chapter refers to specific areas of activity, objectives, as well as the positive and negative impacts of the Peace Corps in Colombia. Also included are the reasons for which this program of cooperation came to an end in 1981, its repercussion throughout Colombia, and its return in 2010. Keywords: Peace Corps - United States - Colombia - development - Cold War Cílem této práce je popsat působení dobrovolných Mírových sborů v Kolumbii v první fázi jejich činnosti. V úvodní kapitole nastiňujeme širší kontext vzájemných vztahů Kolumbie a Spojených států v 19. a 20. století. V druhé kapitole rozebíráme státní politiku USA v kontextu studené války s hlavním důrazem na vliv a výsledky Aliance pro pokrok (Alliance for progress) v Latinské Americe. V třetí kapitole se věnujeme výhradně Mírovým sborům jakožto napůl nezávislé federální agentuře, vázané na úřad prezidenta Spojených států: jak vznikly, jak začaly fungovat, jak se rozvíjely a jaké byly jejich hlavní programy ve světě. Čtvrtá kapitola podrobněji popisuje specifické oblasti činnosti Mírových sborů v Kolumbii, jejich cíle a pozitivní i negativní dopady. Na závěr doplňujeme důvody, jež vedly roku 1981 na kolumbijském území k ukončení tohoto programu spolupráce, analyzuje ohlas programu v Kolumbii a návrat k přerušené spolupráci roku 2010. This work is centered in the analysis of characters in the novel The Savage Detevcives written by Roberto Bolaño. The thesis has no purpose in the biografic analysis of its authors life. It represents a detailed research and identification of characters that were (and still are) attached to our delimited context which is centered in the years of the development of the plot (1975-1976) and the years after while the movement infrarrealsim lasts. Its purpose is the analysis of each selected character. In order to fulfill it I have created the concept of the "infra-grafía". An infra-grafía is some kind of curriculum of each character that helps to respond the question that this work arises: which characters are fictional and which are infra-real? Because real is none of them. Tato práce se soustředí na analýzu postav v díle Divocí detektivové od Roberta Bolaña. Záměrem práce není biografická analýza autorova života. Představuje detailní bádání a identifikaci postav, které byly (a nadále jsou) spojené se staoveným kontextem zasahujícím do roků, v nichž se dílo odehrává (1975-1976), a roků následujících spojených s hnutím infrarrealismus. Cílem je analýza každé postavy, která splňuje tyto podmínky. K úspešnému vypracování jsem vymyslela koncept tzv. "infra-grafie". Infra-grafia je jistý druh životopisu vytvořeného pro každou z těchto postav, aby pomohl rozluštit záhadu, na kterou hledá tato práce odpovědi: které postavy jsou fiktivní a které jsou infra-reálné? Neboť reálná není žádná z nich.

In this thesis I describe the transformation process of Tepito, the "brave neighbourhood" in Mexico City, from 1960 to the present day. In this microhistory, I intend to explore how the great socio-economic changes, that have occurred in Mexico in the last 60 years, have been reflected locally. I especially focus on the incorporation of the traditional Mexican society into the modern and globalized world; The process of corporatization of the popular sector into the politics of the single party; The transition from the stabilizing development economic model (characterized by the Import substitution industrialization) to neoliberalism; The gradual rupture of the social fabric hastened by the urban planning in the 60s and 70s, the 1985 earthquake and the proliferation of drug trafficking and armed violence; And the beginning of the digital era. I also try to explore the validity of the Culture of Poverty theory which was formulated by the anthropologist Oscar Lewis during his field research in Tepito in the late 50's of the last century and I describe which of the aspects of the theory have changed. Ve své diplomové práci popisuji přeměnu Tepita, neblaze proslulé čtvrti ve městě Mexiku, od roku 1960 po současnost. Cílem této mikrohistorie je zjistit, jak se na lokální úrovni projevily velké socioekonomické změny, které se v Mexiku udály za posledních 60 let. Konkrétně se zaměřuji na začlenění tradiční mexické společnosti do moderního a globalizovaného světa; korporativizaci pracující třídy do politiky jedné strany; přechod z ekonomického modelu stabilizovaného rozvoje (zaměřeného na industrializaci jako náhradu dovozu) na neoliberalismus; postupné narušování sousedských vztahů urychlené urbanistickými plány v 60. a 70. letech, zemětřesením v roce 1985 a rozšířením se obchodu s drogami a ozbrojeného násilí; a počátek digitálního věku. Taktéž se zamýšlím nad platností teorie kultury chudoby, jež byla formulována antropologem Oscarem Lewisem na konci 50. let minulého století během jeho terénního výzkumu ve zmíněné čtvrti, a popisuji, jak se proměnily jednotlivé aspekty této teorie.

The aim of this Diploma Thesis is to bring attention to the resemblance between the work of one of the most important Hispanic American authors of 20th century, the Mexican Juan Rulfo, and his less well-known Chilean colleague, María Luisa Bombal. Even though the work of these writers has often been associated with the beginnings of the so-called Magical Realism, so far literary critics have not studied the parallelism in their poetics in detail. This work observes the deviation of these authors from the type of literature dominant in their time, and their effort to renovate it. Furthermore, it concerns the similarity in the approach to death in their work; it pays attention to the influence of the Nordic literature on their literary production. Another part of this work is dedicated to the parallels between the character of Susana San Juan from Rulfoˈs Pedro Páramo and Bombalˈs female characters. In addition to that, the work reflects the personal relationship between the authors in question. Cieľom tejto diplomovej práce je upozorniť na podobnosť medzi dielom jedného z najvýznamnejších hispanoamerických autorov 20. storočia, Mexičana Juana Rulfa, a jeho o niečo menej známej chilskej kolegyne, Maríe Luisy Bombalovej. Hoci diela oboch autorov boli často spájané s počiatkami tzv. magického realizmu, literárna kritika sa doteraz podrobnejšie nezaoberala štúdiom paralelizmu medzi ich poetikami. Práca sleduje odklon týchto autorov od typu literatúry dominantnej v ich dobe a ich snahu o jej renováciu. Ďalej sa zaoberá podobnosťou v ponímaní smrti v ich dielach a všíma si aj vplyv severskej literatúry na ich tvorbu. Ďalšia časť práce je venovaná paralelizmu medzi postavou Susany San Juan z Rulfovho Pedra Párama a Bombalovej hrdinkami. Okrem toho práca reflektuje aj to, aký bol osobný vzťah medzi spisovateľmi, ktorými sa zaoberáme.

RADKA SOTÁKOVÁ: CIENCIA Y MITOLOGÍA EN LOS CUENTOS DE LEOPOLDO LUGONES (Science and mythology in the short stories by Leopoldo Lugones) ABSTRACT The fantasy short stories by Argentinian Leopoldo Lugones are traditionally divided in two mutually exclusive and opposite groups: the mythological and the science based ones. In this paper, we analyze the short stories from the author's collection Las fuerzas extrañas and the critical papers on fantasy literature and Leopoldo Lugones to study the possible division. We base our study on three aspects: the distribution of characters throughout the book; the description of the forces that create the supernatural element; and finally on the references that appear abundantly in the collection. We observe the correlation of the three aspects with the traditionally delimited types and try to establish whether this division can be considered suitable and exact enough to capture the spirit of the short stories. RADKA SOTÁKOVÁ: CIENCIA Y MITOLOGÍA EN LOS CUENTOS DE LEOPOLDO LUGONES ABSTRAKT Fantastické poviedky, ktorých autorom je Argentínčan Leopoldo Lugones, sa tradične delia do dvoch protichodných skupín: na texty mytologické a na vedecké. V tejto práci vychádzame z poviedok zbierky Las fuerzas extrañas (zahrnuté v českej antológii Lugonesovho diela Fantastické povídky), rovnako ako z teoretických štúdií o fantastickej literatúre a Lugonesovi, aby sme overili toto možné delenie. Opierame sa pritom o tri aspekty: rozdelenie postáv v diele; opis síl, ktoré vytvárajú nadprirodzený element; a v konečnom dôsledku tiež o referencie, ktoré sa v zbierke vyskytujú v hojnom množstve. Sledujeme, či tieto tri zložky súvisia s tradične vydelenými skupinami, a teda či je takáto diferenciácia vhodná a dostatočne presná.

The topics of this thesis are Spanish, Czech and Slovak phrasemes that contain words to do with the human body or its parts. The theoretical part of this work delimitates the concepts of phraseme, idiom etc. It describes the different attitudes to this topic in the Spanish and Czech linguistic tradition. The theoretical background serves as a base for the practical section which is dedicated to a dictionary and analysis of Czech and Spanish idioms. The practical section studies the dictionary from different points of view. It is focused on the frequency of use of the idioms in Spanish and Czech, the possibilities of translation and etymology of certain expressions. Témou tejto diplomovej práce sú španielske, české a slovenské idiómy obsahujúce ľudské telo a jeho časti. Teoretická časť práce sa venuje vymedzením pojmov frazém, idióm atd., popisuje rozdielne prístupy k problematike v španielskej a českej lingvistickej tradícií. Na základe teoretických východísk je založená praktická časť práce, ktorá sa zaoberá rozborom idiomatických výrazov obsiahnutých vo vytvorenom slovníku. Praktická časť práce skúma vytvorený slovník z rôznych hľadísk, zameriava sa na frekvenciu používania jednotlivých idiómov v španielčine a v češtine, na možnosti ich prekladu a na etymologickú stránku niektorých výrazov.
