This diploma thesis explores the media habits of children aged 6-8, a developmental stage corresponding to early school age according to psychological understanding. Through the ethnographic method of guided tour, in which participants lead the researcher through their home, it is possible to examine these media habits within their natural environment. As indicated by its title, this thesis is primarily dedicated to researching media habits among children of this age group. The secondary research questions are focused on independent media engagement and contrasting daily media usage with periods of increased leisure time, such as holidays or weekends. Additionally, it examines which type of media children use and whether they use them to communicate with their peers. Finally, it explores the organization of personal space in relation to the individual media. The detailed results of this analysis uncover the content consumed on participants' devices, technical and skill-related challenges associated with media, descriptions of individual families' media usage approaches, levels of independence in media consumption, the integration of media into daily children's or family routines, and the difference in these routines compared to periods of increased leisure time. It was observed that there exists a... Diplomová práce se zabývá mediálními návyky dětí ve věku 6 - 8 let, tedy věku, který dle chápání psychologie odpovídá mladšímu školnímu věku. Prostřednictvím etnografické metody tzv. guided tour, při níž participant výzkumníka provede svou domácností, je možné tyto mediální návyky zkoumat v přirozeném prostředí participanta. Hlavní výzkumnou otázkou, kterou si výzkum dává za cíl zodpovědět, je samotný název práce, tady jaké jsou mediální návyky dětí v tomto věku. Vedlejší výzkumné otázky jsou poté zaměřeny především na samostatné užívání médií, srovnání každodenního, rutinního, užívání médií s obdobím většího množství volného času (prázdniny, víkend atd.), jaká média děti užívají a či jejich prostřednictvím komunikují s vrstevníky, v neposlední řadě rovněž na organizaci vlastního prostoru ve vztahu k jednotlivým médiím. Podrobné výsledky této analýzy poté odkrývají obsahy, které participanti konzumují na užívaných zařízeních, technické a dovedností problémy spojované s médii, popis přístupu jednotlivých rodin k užívání médií, samostatnost zacházení, zapojení médií v rutině dětí a potažmo rodiny a odlišnost této rutiny v období s větším množstvím volného času. Legal aspects of waste management in the context of municipal development Abstract The thesis examines the various legal aspects of waste management, with a particular focus on the municipal level. The necessity to manage waste in an efficient manner has been evident since the advent of settled communities, and thus the perception of waste issues has evolved over time. Currently, waste management is extensively regulated by national legislation, which is also influenced by European regulations. The thesis primarily draws upon the fundamental law pertaining to this issue, namely Act No. 541/2020 on waste. The thesis is intended to reflect this legislation and the establishment of the waste management system in the Czech Republic, with a particular focus on the role of municipalities within the waste management framework. The thesis is structured in four parts, each addressing a distinct aspect. The first part of the thesis is entitled "Waste from the perspective of environmental law" and contains the fundamental legal framework and an introduction to the key concepts of the issue, which are essential for comprehending the entirety of the topic. Právní aspekty odpadového hospodářství v kontextu rozvoje obcí Abstrakt Práce se věnuje jednotlivým právním aspektům odpadového hospodářství se zaměřením na komunální úroveň. Potřeba efektivním způsobem nakládat s odpady se objevuje od doby, kdy člověk opustil kočovný způsob života, a tak se pohled na problematiku odpadů v průběhu času mění. V současné době je odpadové hospodářství obsáhle upraveno vnitrostátní legislativou, jež je zároveň ovlivněna evropskými předpisy. Práce čerpá především ze zásadního zákona pro tuto problematiku, a tím je zákon č. 541/2020 Sb., o odpadech. Práce má reflektovat tuto právní úpravu a nastavení systému odpadového hospodářství v České republice, především z hlediska postavení obcí v rámci odpadového hospodářství. The thesis focuses on communication between developers and fans on Discord and Steam. This communication is primarily examined from the perspective of community managers, who serve as a vital link between developers and players. The aim is to provide a comprehensive understanding of the environment of developer communities in the Czech Republic and to compare communication methods on Discord and Steam platforms. It is a qualitative study, with semi-structured interviews with community managers as the primary method. The secondary method involves a thematic analysis of official communication from game studios on the two mentioned platforms. The empirical part follows a theoretical part, and the conclusion confronts the results with the literature mentioned at the beginning of the thesis. The findings reveal that Discord and Steam platforms are indeed relevant places for the emergence and management of gaming communities, unlike other social networks. Furthermore, the research shows that community managers often share similar gaming backgrounds, or that not all of them consider themselves game developers. Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na komunikaci mezi vývojáři a fanoušky na platformách Discord a Steam. Tato komunikace je v práci zkoumána především pohledem správců herních komunit, kteří fungují jako důležitá spojka mezi vývojáři a hráči. Práce si klade za cíl poskytnout ucelený vhled do prostředí komunit vývojářských společností působících v České republice a porovnání způsobů komunikace na platformách Discord a Steam. Jedná se o kvalitativní výzkum, jehož primární metodou jsou polostrukturované rozhovory se správci komunit. Sekundární metodou je tematická analýza oficiální komunikace herních studií na dvou zmíněních platformách. Empirické části předchází část teoretická, v závěru pak dochází ke konfrontaci výsledků analýzy s odbornou literaturou zmíněnou na začátku práce. Výsledkem je zjištění, že platformy Discord a Steam jsou opravdu relevantními místy pro vznik a správu herních komunit, na rozdíl od jiných sociálních sítí. Dále je z výzkumu patrné, že správci komunit mají často podobnou herní minulost, nebo že ne všichni se cítí jako herní vývojáři. Legal status of the municipality in waste management Abstract This thesis focuses on the analysis of municipal obligations in waste management, which arise from the relevant provisions of the Waste Act as well as the relevant EU legislation. The main obligation examined is the obligation of municipalities to ensure that a certain proportion of municipal waste generated by the municipality is separated within their territory, which is derived from the provisions of Section 59(3) of the Waste Act. The anchoring of this obligation derives indirectly from the primary objectives of waste management within the meaning of Section 1(1) of the Waste Act. Answering whether the municipality has sufficient legal and non-legal instruments to achieve the set waste target is the primary research question of this thesis. Therefore, the different instruments (administrative, conceptual, economic) that ultimately lead to higher municipal waste separation rates are discussed in detail. Furthermore, this thesis explicates in detail the way in which the rate of separate waste segregation in each municipality is determined in order to determine the rate of compliance with the waste target. Právní postavení obce v odpadovém hospodářství Abstrakt Tato práce se zaměřuje na analýzu povinností obcí v odpadovém hospodářství, které vyplývají z relevantních ustanovení zákona o odpadech, jakož i příslušné unijní právní úpravy. Hlavní zkoumanou povinností je povinnost obcí zajistit, aby na jejich území byl odděleně soustřeďován určitý podíl komunálního odpadu, jehož je obec původcem, kdy tato povinnost vyplývá z ustanovení § 59 odst. 3 zákona o odpadech. Zakotvení této povinnosti nepřímo vyplývá z primárních cílů odpadového hospodářství ve smyslu ustanovení § 1 odst. 1 zákona o odpadech. Zodpovězení toho, zda obce disponují dostatečnými právními i mimoprávními nástroji, jak stanoveného odpadového cíle dosáhnout, je primární výzkumnou otázkou této práce. Zevrubně jsou proto rozebrány jednotlivé nástroje (administrativní, koncepční, ekonomické), které ve svém důsledku vedou k vyšší míře separace komunálního odpadu. The thesis focuses on pro-Russian narratives on the social network TikTok in the context of the Czech Republic. The aim is to find out what narratives are spread by pro-Russian profiles on TikTok that are Czech-speaking. The thesis also aims to determine by what means the narratives are transmitted. At a time when social media is playing an increasingly important role in geopolitical strategies and information warfare, TikTok represents not only a means for sharing entertaining content but also a platform for spreading manipulative information and supporting Russian interests. An analysis of the narratives of pro-Russian profiles on TikTok reveals that these posts often fuel polarisation, undermine trust in democratic institutions and undermine the unity of Western societies. The paper thus contributes to a better understanding of the mechanisms of information warfare in the digital age and highlights the need for effective measures to defend against disinformation campaigns. Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na proruské narativy na sociální síti TikTok v kontextu České republiky. Cílem je zjistit jaké narativy šíří prosruské profily na TikToku, které jsou českojazyčné. Práce si také klade za cíl zjistit, jakými prostředky jsou narativy předávané. V době, kdy sociální média hrají stále významnější roli v geopolitických strategiích a informačním válčení, představuje TikTok nejen prostředek pro sdílení zábavného obsahu, ale také platformu pro rozšiřování manipulativních informací a podporu ruských zájmů. Analýza narativů proruských profilů na TikToku odhaluje, že tyto příspěvky často podněcují polarizaci, oslabují důvěru v demokratické instituce a podkopávají jednotu západních společností. Práce tak přispívá k lepšímu pochopení mechanismů informačního boje v digitálním věku a zdůrazňuje nutnost efektivních opatření pro obranu proti dezinformačním kampaním.

This thesis focuses on the research of the influence of social networks on relationships in a group of children aged 9-11 years. The theoretical part examines the development of social networks, the psychological development of children at this age and the risks associated with their use. The empirical part is based on qualitative research conducted through in-depth interviews with children and their parents. Analysis of the data using the method of interpretive phenomenological analysis revealed that children in the mentioned age range actively use social networks, despite the fact that there are age restrictions set by platforms. For them, social networks are mainly a means of communication and connection with peers, which can have a positive effect on bonds in the team and maintaining contacts outside the school environment. However, serious risks, such as cyberbullying, social exclusion and envy, have been identified as associated with children's social media activities. The results of this work can serve as a starting point for further research in this area and as a support for the development of appropriate preventive measures. Tato práce se zaměřuje na výzkum působení sociálních sítí na vztahy v kolektivu dětí ve věku 9-11 let. Teoretická část představuje vývoj sociálních sítí, psychologický vývoj dětí v tomto věku a rizika spojená s užíváním sociálních sítí. Empirická část je založena na kvalitativním výzkumu provedeném prostřednictvím hloubkových rozhovorů s dětmi a jejich rodiči. Analýza dat pomocí metody interpretativní fenomenologické analýzy odhalila, že děti v uvedeném věkovém rozmezí aktivně využívají sociální sítě, přestože jsou platformami stanovena věková omezení. Sociální sítě pro ně představují hlavně prostředek komunikace a propojení s vrstevníky, což může mít pozitivní vliv na vazby v kolektivu a udržování kontaktů mimo školní prostředí. Nicméně byla identifikována vážná rizika, jako je kyberšikana, sociální vyčlenění a závist, která jsou spojená s aktivitami dětí na sociálních médiích. Výsledky této práce mohou sloužit jako východisko pro další výzkum v této oblasti a jako podpora pro vývoj vhodných preventivních opatření.

The diploma thesis titled "Themes resonating in the Czech presidential elections 2023: Content analysis of interviews and debates with candidates Petr Pavel, Andrej Babiš and Danuše Nerudová" examines the form of pre-election presidential debates and interviews in 2023. The theoretical part of the thesis discusses the changes brought about by digital media, and at the same time confirms the strong position that debates still have in the media world. Although various elements and segments have been incorporated into the debates with the intention of reaching a wider audience, the tradition of the debates still remains. The practical part of the thesis consists of a content analysis of the speeches of the selected candidates. Sources come from both traditional and digital media. The thesis sets the main agenda of pre- election debates and interviews, which consists of seven topics. Quantitative analysis showed that despite Petr Pavel's greater media space, Andrej Babiš was able to surpass him in the length of his speech. Diplomová práce s názvem "Témata rezonující českými prezidentskými volbami 2023: Obsahová analýza rozhovorů a debat s kandidáty Petrem Pavlem, Andrejem Babišem a Danuší Nerudovou" zkoumá podobu předvolebních prezidentských debat a rozhovorů roku 2023. Teoretická část práce pojednává o změnách, které digitální média přinesla, a zároveň potvrzuje pevnou pozici, kterou debaty v mediálním světě stále mají. Přestože do debat byly začleněny různé prvky a segmenty s úmyslem oslovit širší publikum, zůstává stále tradice debat zachována. Praktická část práce je tvořena obsahovou analýzou promluv vybraných kandidátů. Zdroje pocházejí jak z tradičních, tak digitálních médií. Práce stanovuje hlavní agendu předvolebních debat a rozhovorů, která se skládá ze sedmi témat. Kvantitativní analýza ukázala, že navzdory většímu mediálnímu prostoru Petra Pavla, ho dokázal v délce projevu předčit Andrej Babiš.

Legal protection of animals against cruelty in zoos and circuses Abstract The diploma thesis focuses on legal protection of animals against cruelty in zoos and circuses, both at the international European and national level. The diploma thesis is divided into an introduction, three chapters and a conclusion. The first introductory chapter is divided into six sub-chapters and is devoted to the cruelty of animals as such. The first sub-chapter discusses animal rights, the second sub-chapter the Universal Declaration of Animal Rights, the third sub- chapter describes the status of animals, in the fourth sub-chapter we find defined basic terms such as: "animal", "breeder", "cruelty" and "welfare". In the fifth sub-chapter is presented the categorization of animals, and in the fifth sub-chapter, the sources of legislation against animal cruelty at the international, European and national level are analysed, in particular the Act on the Protection of Animals against Cruelty and the Criminal Code. The second chapter is focused on the issue of cruelty and welfare of animals in zoos and is divided into five subsections. This master thesis deals with the pre-election TV debates before the second round of the presidential elections in 2023 in the Czech Republic, when Petr Pavel and Andrej Babiš stood against each other. The thesis draws on political communication theory, normative media theory, agenda-setting theory and previous analyses of the TV debates. Using quantitative content analysis, the three selected pre-election duels are examined in terms of the moderator's agenda setting, the types of moderator's questions and speeches, the candidates' agenda setting, the candidates' running away from the topic, and the type and tonality of the candidates' messages. The results of the analysis show that each moderator gave different importance to each topic. However, the moderators most frequently focused on the presidency itself, the conduct of the election, the communist past of both candidates, security issues, and the current government. In most cases, their speeches were neutral and did not take the form of a question. The debate on Czech Television, moderated by Martin Řezníček, had the most even distribution of replicas on each topic. Nova and Prima TV had a less even distribution of topics, and two topics dominated both of them. On both Nova and Prima, the most frequently communicated instructions were those... Tato diplomová práce se zabývá předvolebními televizními debatami před druhým kolem prezidentských voleb v roce 2023 v České republice, kdy proti sobě stáli Petr Pavel a Andrej Babiš. Práce vychází z teorie politické komunikace, normativní teorie médií, teorie nastolování agendy a dosavadních analýz televizních debat. Pomocí kvantitativní obsahové analýzy je ve třech vybraných předvolebních duelech zkoumáno nastolování tematické agendy ze strany moderátora, typy moderátorových otázek a promluv, nastolování tematické agendy ze strany kandidátů, utíkání od tématu a typ a tonalita kandidátových sdělení. Z výsledků analýzy vyplývá, že každý moderátor přikládal jednotlivým tématům jinou důležitost. Nejčastěji se však moderátoři věnovali samotné prezidentské funkci, průběhu voleb, komunistické minulosti obou kandidátů, bezpečnostním otázkám a současné vládě. Jejich promluvy byly ve většině případů neutrální a neměly podobu otázky. Nejvíce rovnoměrné rozložení replik připadajících k jednotlivým tématům měla debata v České televizi moderovaná Martinem Řezníčkem. Televize Nova a Prima měly rozložení témat méně rovnoměrné a u obou bylo možné pozorovat dominanci dvou témat. This thesis focuses on the topic of sports podcasts. Within the theoretical part, the thesis provides a general introduction to the topic of podcasting, its history, and devotes a significant part of the thesis to the current state of the global podcast market and a narrower focus on the sports subcategory of podcasting. To do this, the thesis uses a range of available data and market analysis. The aim of the research part of the thesis is to categorise and present, through quantitative content analysis, the current form of the most popular sports podcasts in the Czech Republic, America and the United Kingdom. The sample of 600 podcasts shows that podcasts focused on the traditional sports are dominant compared to action sports, and the sport preferences of each country can be also visible. The second part of the study focuses on 3 selected Czech action sport podcasts and 3 American podcasts. Within the selected podcasts, the 3 most popular action sports from the first part of the research are represented, namely climbing, mountain biking and skiing. From the selected podcasts, 5 episodes are analyzed further based on the predetermined categories. Based on this analysis, the selected podcasts are described and characterized. The results of the analysis of the individual podcasts and episodes are... Tato diplomová práce se zabývá tématem sportovních podcastů. V rámci teoretické části se práce zaměřuje na obecné uvedení do tématu podcastingu, jeho historie a značnou část se také věnuje přiblížení současné podoby světového podcastového trhu a užšímu zaměření na sportovní podkategorii podcastingu. K tomu práce využívá řadu dostupných dat a analýz trhu. Cílem výzkumné části práce je kategorizovat a přiblížit pomocí kvantitativní obsahové analýzy aktuální podobu nejpopulárnějších podcastů zaměřených na sport v Česku, Americe a Velké Británii. Ze vzorku 600 podcastů vyplývá, že převládají podcasty zaměřené na tradiční sporty oproti akčním sportům a projevují se i sportovní preference daných zemí. V druhé části se práce zaměřuje na 3 vybrané české podcasty o akčních sportech a 3 americké podcasty. V rámci vybraných podcastů jsou reprezentovány 3 nejpopulárnější akční sporty z první části výzkumu, a to konkrétně horolezectví, jízda na horském kole a lyžování. Z vybraných podcastů, je na základě předem určených kategorií, dále analyzováno 5 epizod. Na základě této analýzy jsou vybrané podcasty popsány a charakterizovány. Výsledky analýzy jednotlivých podcastů a epizod jsou následně porovnány napříč třemi akčními sporty a dvěma zeměmi. Zároveň jsou vytvořeny celkové závěry za celou kategorii akčních...
