Závěrečná zpráva o využití membránové separace solí obsahujících sírany a chloridy typických kovů z průmyslových vod
Šyc, Michal; Veselý, Václav
2023 - Czech
The aim of the collaboration was to verify the possible use of membrane processes for the recovery of metals or their hydroxides, preferably in separated form. As a basic membrane method we will consider electrodialysis/electrocoagulation. The processes will be validated on three typical types of industrial wastewater. The first type is leachate, the second is industrial water from surface treatment technology and the third is process water from hydrometallurgical waste treatment. The aim is not to design a technology for the final treatment of industrial wastewater. Keywords: membrane processes; industrial wastewater; metal hydroxides Available at various institutes of the ASCR

Základy proteomiky
Harant, K.; Křenková, Alena
2023 - Czech
Náplní první části kurzu bude úvod do proteomiky s cílem ukázat současné metody a nástroje použitelné k akvizici a vyhodnocení proteomických dat. The first part of the course will be an introduction to proteomics with the aim to show current methods and tools used for proteomic data acquisition and evaluation. In the first part, we will discuss in abbreviated form all steps of the experimental procedure from 1) designing the experiment to be suitable for subsequent LC/MS analysis, 2) sample preparation using examples of immunoprecipitation and complex lysate, to 3) measurement options using Data Dependent or Data Independent acquisition. The course will also include a critical evaluation of the quality of the measured data. The evaluation will focus on the possibilities of data processing in freeware software such as MaxQuant and DIAnn. We will also briefly introduce you to commercial programs - Proteome Discoverer, PEAKS, Spectronaut. The second part of the course will include an introduction to statistical processing of quantitative proteomic data in Perseus software. Emphasis will be placed on understanding important statistical concepts (data distribution, t-test, ANOVA, p-value, FDR, etc.) and understanding all necessary steps of statistical analysis such as data filtering, data normalization, statistical testing, etc. There will be model data that participants will process during the course. Metodika určování falz a kopii miniaturní malby
Sondej, A.; Hradilová, J.; Hradil, David
2023 - Czech
The methodology describes the signs by which it is possible to distinguish between an original miniature portrait painting and other types of imitations, whether they were produced individually or in serial reproduction. For this classification, the methodology uses both routinely available tools (e.g. a magnifying glass or a stereomicroscope) as well as specialized imaging and analytical instruments, without the help of which accurate determination cannot be done. In all cases, these are non-invasive procedures that do not require any material removal from the painting. The analytical procedures used to determine the provenance of a work are in some cases completely new. Keywords: Copies, Forgeries; Portrait miniature; Non-invasive research; X-ray fluorescence scanning (MA-XRF); Graphics; Photographs; Decorative art; Ivory; Artificial imitation of ivory Available at various institutes of the ASCR

Simultaneous online determination of nitric acid and nitrates in ambient air
Alexa, Lukáš; Čmelíková, D.; Cigánková, Hana; Mikuška, Pavel
2023 - English
The innovated method for the simultaneous online determination of HNO3/NO3- in ambient air was developed. Due to high sensitivity of CLD (LOD = 5.1 nM in water solution, 3 s/n) no preconcentration method is required. The online methods were compared with the results obtained with the offline method based on sampling using filters and dry denuders (DD) covered by 0.5% NaF with subsequent analysis by ion chromatography (model ICS-2100, Dionex, USA) and capillary electrophoresis (model Agilent 7100, Agilent Technologies, USA). Keywords: nitric acid; nitrates; online analysis; CGU-ACTJU; CWEDD Available in digital repository of the ASCR
