2019 - Czech Konference Open Repositories se snaží účastníkům přiblížit nejnovější trendy v oblasti digitálních repozitářů, jedná se tedy o velmi důležité téma vzhledem k tomu, že NTK provozuje dva digitální repozitáře. Účastnice získala přehled o nejnovějším vývoji technologií v oblasti repozitářů a měla možnost navázat kontakty s provozovateli podobných repozitářů po celém světě. Nejpřínosnější byla sekce věnovaná softwaru Invenio, který NTK využívá pro oba repozitáře a pracuje na upgradu na verzi 3. The Open Repositories conference aims to bring participants the latest trends in digital repositories. This is a very important topic to the NTK that operates two digital repositories. The participant gained an overview of the latest developments in repository technologies and had the opportunity to establish contacts with repository operators around the world. The most beneficial was the section devoted to Invenio software, which the NTK uses for both repositories and is working on upgrade to version 3. 2019 - Czech Konferenci uspořádala Univerzita Pavla Jozefa Šafárika v Košicích v rámci akce Týždeň vedy a techniky na Slovensku, hlavními tématy byly repozitáře a otevřený přístup. Účastnice zde na žádost organizátorů představily repozitáře NTK, zejména institucionální repozitář. The conference was organized by the Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice as part of the Week of Science and Technology in Slovakia, the main topics were repositories and open access. At the request of the organizers, the participants presented NTK repositories, in particular the NTK institutional repository. In the years since this remains a core tenant of what HathiTrust does. By focusing on numerous collaborative collection services, HathiTrust is able to contribute to the world’s research, scholarship, and the common good. 2019 - English DEAL is an initiative of the Alliance of Science Organizations in Germany with the goal to conclude nationwide licensing agreements for the entire portfolio of electronic journals from major academic publishers. The intention is to bring about significant change to the status quo in relation to negotiations, content and pricing in the process and to achieve wide-scale, lasting improvements in open access to scholarly literature. The first agreement with a major publisher was signed on January 15, 2019 – after a long series of negotiations. I am a member of the DEAL negotiation team and will report on the whole range of plans and challenges as well as my expectations for future development.
