Potentials of the VNIR airborne hyperspectral system AISA Eagle

2008 - anglický Airborne hyperspectral remote sensing (imaging spectroscopy) sensors acquire images of several (from tens to hundreds) narrow spectral bands in visible, near and short infrared wavelengths. Use of hyperspectral remote sensing (RS) data in scientific and even commercial applications is quite broad, starting from agriculture, forestry, and natural vegetation (precision farming, assessment of general plant status, biomass estimation, species composition mapping), through geology (mapping of minerals, land degradation assessment), up to limnology (water quality evaluation), and other domains. Since 2004 the Institute of Systems Biology and Ecology (ISBE) (Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic) has been operating the VNIR airborne hyperspectral sensor AISA Eagle. The workgroup for remote sensing of vegetation at ISBE is currently capable to facilitate the complete flight/ground hyperspectral campaign including the standard image data pre-processing. 2008 - anglický The conference was devoted to the recent advances in the field of molecular biology of cyanobacteria, namely in the structure and function of important proteins and their complexes, in the regulation of gene expression, in cell differentiation, in cellular metabolism and in molecular ecology and taxonomy. There were 170 participants presenting 101 posters and 12 invited and 29 selected lectures including a computer bioinformatics session Konference byla věnována nedávným pokrokům v molekulární biologii sinic, zejména v oblasti struktury a funkce proteinů a jejich komplexů, v regulaci genové exprese, buněčné diferenciaci, buněčném metabolismu a molekulární ekologii a taxonomii. 2007 - anglický The 25th Mustelid Colloquium was held in Třeboň, Czech Republic, on 4-7 October 2007. The meeting was organized by Czech Otter Foundation Fund, Agency for Nature Conservation and Landscape Protection of the Czech Republic, and the Institute of Vertebrate Biology, Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. Nearly 100 participants from 21 countries presented 45 talks and 28 posters dealing with all European mustelid species, except the marbled polecat. The main topics included distribution and demography, monitoring and assessment techniques, road mortality, conservation and management, genetics, habitat use, diet, and behaviour. Within the colloquium, also the workshop „How to assess the conservation status of otters in context of EU legislation?“ took place. Ve dnech 4.-7. října 2007 se v Třeboni (ČR) konalo 25. mezinárodní kolokvium o lasicovitých šelmách. Setkání bylo organizováno Českým nadačním fondem pro vydru, Agenturou ochrany přírody a krajiny ČR a Ústavem biologie obratlovců AV ČR. Konference se zúčastnilo téměř 100 účastníků z 21 krajin, kteří prezentovali 45 přednášek a 28 posterů zabývajících se všemi evropskými druhy z čeledi lasicovité, kromě tchoříka skvrnitého. Hlavními tématy byly rozšíření a demografie, monitoring a výzkumní metody, silniční mortalita, ochrana a management, genetika, využívání prostředí, potravní ekologie a etologie. V rámci kolokvia se uskutečnil také workshop „Jak hodnotit stav populací vydry říční v kontextu legislativy EU?“.
