Tato teoretická práce se zabývá poměrem šířky a výšky rámu filmového obrazu. Klade si za cíl zanalyzovat tento technický parametr především jako výrazový a významotvorný prostředek filmového jazyka. Jeho možnostmi působení na diváka se věnuje v kontextu historického vývoje, technických aspektů a lidského vnímání světa. This theoretical work concerns the ratio of width and height of the frame of a film image. It aims at analyzing this technical parameter above all as an expressive and storytelling tool of the film language. The study investigates its capability to influence the viewer in the context of historical development, technical aspects, and human visual perception of the world.

Americká opera a její vývoj ve 20. století

Tato práce pojednává o vývoji americké opery, tj. opery na území dnešního USA, ve 20. století. Je chronologickým přehledem hlavních vlivů, které tento vývoj formovaly. Zaměřuje se na přelomové okamžiky, historické milníky, významné operní skladatele a jejich stěžejní díla. Všímá si odlišností americké a evropské hudební tradice a soustředí se na specifika formující americkou operní tvorbu. Práce byla vytvořena kompilační metodou, která vychází z několika odborných děl předních amerických muzikologů či badatelů v oblasti kulturní historie. Důvodem pro vznik je absence jakékoli obsažnější či souhrnnější literatury v českém jazyce, která o tomto tématu pojednává. The objective of this thesis is to provide an overview of history and development of American opera, ie opera in the territory of today´s USA, in the 20th century. It is a chronological overview of the main influences that shaped this development. It focuses on turning moments, historical milestones, significant opera composers and their core works. It notes the distinction between American and European musical traditions and focuses on the specifics of American opera art. This thesis was created by a compilation method based on several professional works by leading American musicologists and scholars in the field of cultural history. The reason for creating this work is the absence of any more inclusive or more comprehensive literature in the Czech language, which deals with this topic.

V této práci se soustředím na zdroje, ze kterých vycházel Christoph Willibald Gluck a Nicolas-Francois Guillard při svém zpracování příběhu o Ifigenii na Tauridě. Zároveň popisuji svou cestu k inscenování tohoto díla ve Slezském divadle Opava. In this work I concentrate on the sources from which Christoph Willibald Gluck and Nicola-Francois Guillard had come out when they are processing their story of Ifigenia in Tauris. At the same time, I describe my way to the setting of this piece in Silesian theatre Opava.

Text představuje několik konceptuálních oblastí spjatých s filosofií techniky a médií. Skrze ně pak interpretuje některé aspekty role techniky v hudbě a usiluje tak o nastínění rámce, do nějž začleňuje počítač a algoritmické hudební uvažování. Úvahy o kontinuitě vztahu člověka a techniky mají za cíl poodkrýt specifika charakteru počítače – který můžeme vnímat například jako dynamickou kumulaci logického myšlení. V textu je zároveň kladen důraz na skladatele jako organizátora a živého interpreta komputačního stroje. The text proposes to descirbe a few conceptual areas associated with the philosophy of technics and media through which it then interprets certain aspects of the role of technics in music. By doing so, it attempts to suggest a framework for understanding the computer and algorithmic musical thought. Reflections on the continuity of human technicity seek to unveil some facets of the digital computer – which can be seen for example as a dynamic cumulation of logical thought. At the same time, the text stresses the role of the composer as an organizer and living interpreter of the computational machine.

Metodika jazzové hry na bicí soupravu

Cílem práce je analyzovat metodický postup výuky jazzové hry na bicí nástroje. Inspirací je absence knihy na tuzemském trhu, která by obsahovala nejzákladnější praktika pohromadě. V první kapitole jsou popsány dobové souvislosti a vznik bicí soupravy. V další kapitole je představena notace jazzové hudby a způsob, jakým se liší notový zápis od frázování v praxi. Následující kapitoly pojednávají o správné interpretaci ride činelu, hi-hat a velkého bubnu. Zde čtenář nalezne i praktická cvičení. Dále poukazuji na důležitost bicích jako doprovodného nástroje. Kapitola o transkripci čtenáři napoví, jak pojmout nový materiál a jak s ním následně pracovat. V předposlední kapitole představuji koordinační cvičení, která jsem díky této práci ucelil a dokončil. Poslední kapitola se zabývá rozborem knihy Jima Chapina Advanced Techniques for the Modern Drummer. The aim of the thesis is to analyze the methodical procedure of teaching percussion instrument performace in the context of jazz music. The absence of a similar work - in the domestic area, which would summarize the basic, yet crucial practices in a comprehensible whole was one of the main inspirations for this thesis. The first chapter describes the context and the process of formation of the drum set. The next chapter introduces the notation of jazz music and the way it is different from phrasing in practice. The next chapters deal with the various approaches to playing the ride cymbal, hi-hat and the bass drum. These chapters contain practical exercises. Next I point out the importance of drums as an accompanying instrument. The chapter on transcription tells readers how to handle new material and how to be able to work with it further. In the seventh chapter I present coordination exercises, which I have completed and compiled with this work. The last chapter deals with the analysis of Jim Chapin's Advanced Techniques for the Modern Drummer.

Large format photography refers to the photographic practice that utilizes a large light
sensitive surface to capture photographs. As of 2018, large format photography is still
a subset of analog photography. The digital revolution brings us into the digital era.
Manufacturers and businesses in the photography industry is forced to adapt the
transition from analog to digital in order to survive and succeed in the new market.
Meanwhile, photography theorists find themselves facing a new set of issues
because the photographs have become immediate and immaterial. While camera
manufacturers have in effect accelerated the analog-to-digital transition with their
proactive business strategies and relentless marketing campaigns, higher education
has become the last bastion for the analog where large format camera classes teach
students the tradition of photography and how to see the world contemplatively. Large format photography refers to the photographic practice that utilizes a large light
sensitive surface to capture photographs. As of 2018, large format photography is still
a subset of analog photography. The digital revolution brings us into the digital era.

Bakalářská práce na téma Vývoj seriálu se zabývá možnostmi nezávislého producenta v českém prostředí v hrané dramatické seriálové s aplikací na autorův vlastní projekt. První část definuje základní pojmy a vysvětluje postup práce a výběr respondentů. Druhá část se skládá ze čtyř polostrukturovaných rozhovorů, který se každý zabývá jiným typem seriálu a jiným typem vysílatele. Před každým rozhovorem je případová studie příslušného projektu, který se dále rozebírá během rozhovoru. Třetí částí je vlastní popis projektu autora. Poslední kapitola před závěrem načíná téma Státního fondu kinematografie a jeho podpory seriálové tvorby. Závěr práce se věnuje shodným prvkům, které vycházejí z rozhovorů a pokouší se je aplikovat na vlastní autorův projekt. Práce by mohla být inspirací pro začínající producenty. The Bachelor Thesis deals with the possibilities of an independent producer in the Czech environment in drama series with application to the author's own project. The first part defines the basic terms and explains the work process and the selection of respondents. The second part consists of four semi-structured interviews, each dealing with another type of series and another type of broadcaster. Before each interview, there is a case study of the relevant project, which is discussed further during the interview. The third part is a description of the author's own project. The last chapter before the conclusion deals with the topic of the Czech Film Fund and its support for serial production. The conclusion of the paper deals with the same elements that are based on the interviews and attempts to apply them to the author's own project. The work could be an inspiration for the beginning producers.

Diplomová práce přináší ucelený přehled o tanečně pohybové terapii a jejím uplatněním v podmínkách České republiky, dále pak představuje tuto psychoterapeutickou metodu jako doplňující expresivní terapii při poruchách příjmu potravy. Teoretická část se opírá o poznatky z odborné literatury českých i zahraničních autorů a praktická část představuje kvalitativní výzkum, který zahrnuje dvě kazuistiky klientek s poruchou příjmu potravy a rozhovory s odborníky. This thesis provides a comprehensive overview of dance movement therapy and the condition surrounding its application in the Czech Republic. It also proposes to introduce this psychotherapeutic method as a supplementary treatment therapy for eating disorders. The theoretical part of this thesis is based on knowledge taken from educational literature by variety of Czech and foreign authors and the practical part is derived from specific research that includes two case reports of clients with eating disorders as well as interviews with experts.

Bakalářská práce Tvář jako index se zabývá vztahem člověka a stroje. Tuto problematiku zkoumá skrze fenomén technologie rozpoznávání tváře a jejích souvislostí v kontextu všeobecného dohledu. Autor v první části uvádí čtenáře do psychologických a mozkových procesů, které jsou spjaty s rozpoznáváním tváře. Dále pak na konkrétních příkladech neurovědních výzkumů spjatých s těmito procesy ukazuje spojitost s vývojem strojového rozpoznávání tváře. V části zabývající se historickými konotacemi vývoje samotné technologie rozpoznávání tváře autor rozebírá klíčové momenty, které ústí v počátek jejího zavádění do praxe. Problematiku databáze, změnu technologického principu a vztahu privátního a veřejného sektoru v souvislosti s využíváním zmíněné technologie autor zkoumá v další kapitole re-flektující její stav v posledních několika letech. V poslední části práce pak reflektuje vztah člověka a stroje skrze umělecké projekty zaměřené především na lidskou tvář a fenomén strojového vidění. The bachelor´s thesis Face as an index deals with the relationship between man and machine. It exam-ines this issue through the phenomenon of face recognition technology and its connections with the context of mass surveillance. In the first part, the author introduces the reader to the psychological and brain processes that are associated with facial recognition. Further, on concrete examples of neurosci-ence research associated with these processes, he shows a connection with the development of machine recognition of the face. . In the part about dealing with the historical connotations of the development of face recognition technology, the author discusses the key moments that lead to its implementation into practice. The issue of the database, the change of the technological principle and the relation between the private and the public sector in connection with the use of the above mentioned technology is examined by the author in the next chapter reflecting its state in the last few years. In the last part of the thesis, he reflects the relationship between man and machine through artistic projects focusing on the human face and the phenomenon of machine vision.
