Monitoring of the deformation stress state of the rock mass is a prerequisite for the verification of unapproved new mining methods hall-pillar and its further application in the Czech part of the Upper Silesian coal basin. This mining method is designed on the basis of experiences and practices that are verified in different natural conditions and depths below the surface and is therefore essential for the verification of conditions for the Czech part of the Upper Silesian Basin based on geotechnical monitoring. The present report is prepared on the basis of a contract no. 942/50/10, where the Institute of Geonics, v.v agrees to make periodic evaluation of monitoring data napěťodeformačního state of the rock mass. In accordance with the aforementioned agreement, the message is processed in the six-month period and continues in the interim report III / 2015 (Waclawik et al. 2015) passed buyers in April this year. Interim results of the geotechnical monitoring, such as the experience gained during the first conquest dobývky V show specifics of natural conditions in trial operation unapproved new mining methods hall-pillar. Monitoring napěťodeformačního stavu horninového masivu je nezbytným předpokladem pro ověření nové neschválené dobývací metody chodba-pilíř a jejího dalšího použití v podmínkách české části hornoslezské uhelné pánve. Tato dobývací metoda je projektována pouze na základě zkušeností a postupů, které jsou ověřeny v odlišných přírodních podmínkách a hloubkách pod povrchem a proto je nezbytná její verifikace pro podmínky české části hornoslezské pánve na základě geotechnického monitoringu. Předkládaná zpráva je zpracována na základě smlouvy o dílo č. 942/50/10, kde se Ústav Geoniky AV ČR, v.v zavazuje provádět pravidelné vyhodnocování dat monitoringu napěťodeformačního stavu horninového masivu. V souladu s výše uvedenou smlouvou, je zpráva zpracována v 6-ti měsíčním intervalu a navazuje tak na dílčí zprávu III/2015 (Waclawik et al. 2015) předanou odběrateli v dubnu tohoto roku. Průběžné výsledky geotechnického monitoringu, tak jak zkušenosti získané v době dobývání první dobývky V, ukazují na specifika přírodních podmínek v lokalitě zkušebního provozu nové neschválené dobývací metody chodba-pilíř.

Current environmental threats and their impact in the landscape

Workshop Current environmental threats and their impact on the landscape was organized in the framework of the Strategy AV21 of the Academy of Sciences, the program Natural threats.\nThe papers were oriented both on natural threats (geological and geomorphological threats - slope deformation, erosion, hydrometeorological extremes floods, droughs, biological invasions) and their evaluation and prediction, and social and legal implications of natural and human activities caused by threats and their impacts on the landscape (e. g. changes in the urban environment, anthropogenic impacts in the mining areas). Important topics were focused on the assessment of natural and environmental threats and their solving in selected emergency and crisis situations using geoinformation technologies. \n Workswhop Aktuální environmentální hrozby a jejich impact v krajině byl organizován v rámci Strategie Akademie Věd AV21, programu Přírodní hrozby. Tematicky byly zastoupeny jak přírodní hrozby (geologicko-geomorfologické hrozby - svahové deformace, eroze, hydrometeorologické extrémy - povodně, sucho, biologické invaze) a jejich hodnocení a predikce, tak i sociální i právní důsledky přírodních i aktivitami člověka vyvolaných hrozeb a jejich dopady v krajině (např. změny urbánního prostředí, antropogenní impakty v důlních oblastech). Významná byla témata zaměřená na hodnocení přírodních a environmentálních hrozeb a řešení vybraných mimořádných a krizových situací s využitím geoinformačních technologií.

Czech Republic, the land locked Central-European country faces the risk of drought in the last two decades. This problem is being studied by number of academic and applied institutes. We have focused on the so called geographical drought caused by an integral impact of representative factors of all natural landscape components and human land utilizing. Using GIS technology, we have carried out an exemplar research ignited by the hot wave and the precipitation deficit in the 2013 summer. Using detail natural component maps and land use data at the resolution 1:50 000, five territorial classes of drought risk were distinguished. Some of the most endangered areas cover large territory in the most fertile agricultural land in Southern Moravia. The artificial irrigation has to be planned and constructed on large plots primarirly to prevent harvest loses after hot wave has started. Česká republika jako středoevropská země čelí riziku sucha především v posledních dvou desetiletích a sucho představuje důležitý předmět pozornosti řady projektů akademické i aplikačních pracovišť. Zaměřili jsme se na tzv. geografické sucho způsobené společným účinkem reprezentativních faktorů všech přírodních složek krajiny a využitím ploch člověkem. Použitím technologie GIS jsme provedli vzorový výzkum vyvolaný vlnou horka a deficitem srážek v létě roku 2013. Použití detailních komponentních dat a dat o využívání ploch v rozlišení 1:50 000, bylo odlišeno územní pěti tříd rizika sucha. Některé z nejvíce ohrožených území leží v nejúrodnější oblasti zemědělské půdy na jižní Moravě. Umělé zavlažování zde musí být vybudováno především na velkých pozemcích, aby se po spuštění vlny horka předešlo ztrátám na úrodě.

This conservation procedure includes a description of basic steps, which must be followed to use the ground-penetrating radar and to gain useful data for composition visualization of facial sandstone masonry used in historic structures. Suitable settings of the GPR device are introduced for collecting data and the way of their processing with the aid of software. The conservation procedure applies a non-invasive analytical technique of GPR when surveying stone structures and therefore it can be a useful specifying tool of particular details during the execution phase of the construction-historical survey Tento památkový postup obsahuje popis základních kroků, které je třeba dodržet pro úspěšné použití georadaru a získání užitečných dat při vizualizaci skladby lícního pískovcového zdiva historických konstrukcí. Jsou zde uvedena vhodná nastavení přístroje GPR při sběru dat a jejich způsob zpracování pomocí softwaru. Památkový postup aplikuje nedestruktivní analytickou techniku GPR při průzkumu kamenných konstrukcí a může proto být užitečným upřesněním specifických podrobností při provádění stavebně historického průzkumu.

About some misconceptions related to argumentation skills

The contribution focuses on various ways of proving general statements (external convictions, various types of empirical arguments, deductive arguments). We observe in details argumentation skills of future primary school teachers, and mention often occurring misconceptions. We offer inquiry-based education as a possible way to development of argumentation skills. Příspěvek se zaměřuje na různé způsoby prokazování pravdivosti obecných tvrzení (odkazy na autoritu, různé typy empirických argumentů, deduktivní argumenty). Podrobně sleduje argumentační schopnosti budoucích učitelů 1. Stupně ZŠ, zmiňuje často se vyskytující miskoncepce. Jako možnou cestu ke zlepšení argumentačních schopností nabízí badatelsky orientované vyučování.

The conservation process describes the way of using prosthesis lap scarf carpentry joints for reconstruction of historical timber structures. This new scarf joint makes use of the strutting effect of inclined contact faces where the forces are transmitted through wooden coupling elements - wooden dowels or keys. The process consists of several chapters describing the diagnostics of original wood and the repaired structure, the design of the joint and execution of the joint. It also includes examples of succesful reconstruction made with according to this conservation process. Památkový postup popisuje způsob využití protézovacího plátového celodřevěného spoje při rekonstrukcích historických dřevěných konstrukcí. Tento nový plátový spoj využívá rozpíravého efektu šikmých čel a síly v něm jsou přenášeny pomocí dřevěných spojovacích prostředků - dřevěných kolíků či dřevěných hmoždíků. Postup se skládá z několika kapitol popisujících diagnostiku původního materiálu a opravované konstrukce, návrh spoje a jeho provádění. Obsahuje také příklady úspěšných rekonstrukcí, které byly provedeny s jeho využitím.

The extraordinary flood disaster in the summer 1714 in the Sázava River, Svratka River, Loučná River and Chrudimka River catchments represents one of biggest known flash floods in the Czech flood history. The flood destroyed not only tens of houses, but also a number of water mills, iron mills and other outbuildings. It was also destroyed many ponds. This fact played an important role during the flood. This event significantly influenced the development of water mills and possibly also the development of a network of ponds in the affected area. Mimořádná povodňová katastrofa v létě 1714 v povodí Sázavy, Svratky, Loučné i Chrudimky představuje jednu z největších známých přívalových povodní v české povodňové historii. Tato povodeň zničila nejen desítky obytných domů, ale i řadu mlýnů, hamrů a dalších hospodářských budov. Významnou roli v průběhu povodně sehrálo i množství protržených rybníků. Tato událost podstatným způsobem ovlivnila vývoj vodních mlýnů a možná i vývoj rybniční sítě v postižené oblasti.
