Insect biodiversity on the late domestic refuse dump with special reference to the medically important species and their bioindicator value
Olejníček, Jiří; Gelbič, Ivan
2005 - Czech
Study of insects on the late refuse dump show, that in flora is many protectionist and medical important species. Territory sanitation changed biodiversity and shows, that still is not thanks of possibility of plants in harmfull substances collecting.

Leaf-spinning moths (Lepidoptera) feeding on Vaccinium uliginosum L. along an ecological gradient of the Šumava peat bogs
Spitzer, Karel; Bezděk, Aleš; Jaroš, Josef
2004 - Czech
The leaf-spinning moths (Lepidoptera: Tortricidae, Gelechiidae, Chimabachidae and Geometridae) associated with the boreal plant Vaccinium uliginosum L. were investigated in two different peat bogs (Mrtvý Luh near Volary and Chalupská Slať near Borová Lada). During four years (1998-2001) of collecting leaf spinnings, 19 species of moths were recorded from both peat bogs. The occurence of moths was structured along a distinct mesoclimatic gradient. Species closely associated with peat bogs (tyrphobiontic and tyrphophilous taxa) were found to be most abundant in treeless centers of both bogs in comparisonwith marginal parts.

2004 - Czech
Totally 49 species of predators and 22 species of parasitoids are contributing to the population regulation of bark beetles, namely Ips typohraphus, in spruce forest of the Czech republic. The most encountered predators of bark beetles in our samples during 1998-2003 were: Thanasimus formicarius (Coleoptera), Medetera signaticornis and Lonchaea bruggueri (Diptera): hymenopteran parasitoids: Coeloides bostrichorum, Dendrosoter middendorfii, Cosmophorus klugii (Braconidae): Rhopalicus tutela, Roptrocerus xylophagorum, Tomicobia seitneri a Dinotiscus eupterus (Pteromalidae). The siricid wasp Ibalia leucospoides (Cynipoidea, Ibaliidae) is recorded too. Studie uvádí přehled 49 druhů predátorů a 22 druhů parazitoidů, kteří se v horských smrčinách České republiky podílejí na snižování populační hustoty kůrovců, především lýkožrouta smrkového (Ips typographus). V letech 1998-2003 byly nejčastějšími bioregulátory kůrovců predátoři: Thanasimus formicarius (Coleoptera), Medetera signaticornis a Lonchaea bruggueri (Diptera): a parazitoidi, Hymenoptera: Coeloides bostrichorum, Dendrosoter middendorfii, Cosmophorus klugii (Braconidae): Rhopalicus tutela, Roptrocerus xylophagorum, Tomicobia seitneri a Dinotiscus eupterus (Pteromalidae). Byl nalezen i parazitoid čel. Siricidae:Ibalia leucospoides (Cynipoidea, Ibaliidae).

Bark beetles (Scolytidae, Coleoptera) on spruce in the Bohemian Forest
Zelený, Jiří; Doležal, Petr
2004 - Czech
The article summarized part of data, that were obtained during 6 years lasting research focused on bark beetles and their natural enemies in the Bohemian Forest (Šumava Mts). 26 species of bark beetles were collected from spruce samples that were brought from Modrava, Srní, Kvilda, Borová Lada etc. Despite many abundant pest species like Ips typographus, Ips amitinus, Pityogenes chalcographus a Polygraphus polygraphus, also three uncommon species were collected: Pityogenes conjunctus, Pityophthorus micrographus a Xyloterus laeve. These three species may have importance for nature conservation.

2004 - Czech
Update list of Plecoptera of the area in question consists of 75 species,18 genera and 7 families of the order including 5 species the txonomic status of which is unclear and respective historical records seem to be doubtful. Based on recent data,5 species, namely Brachyptera monilicornis (Pictet, 1841), Capnopsis schilleri (Rostock, 1892),Rhabdiopteryx acuminata Klapálek,1905,Nemoura sciurus Aubert, 1949 a Nemoura cf. babiagorensis Sowa,1964,are recorded from the Bohemian part of the mountains for the first time. Long-term data originating from the 1950´s of the past century enable to evaluate the status from their protection point of view (red list):3 species are extinct within the whole Czech Republic,5 species are extinct or missing in the Bohemian Forest (=Šumava Mts.) for more then 20 yearch,2 are critically endangered,6 endangered,7 vulnerable and 8 species are near threatened. Further 6 species show data deficiency and remaining 36 species still do not require any treatment. Aktualizovaný seznam pošvatek Šumavy (Plecoptera) zahrnuje 75 druhů (18 druhů a 7 čeledí) včetně druhů s nejasným statutem a v současnosti nepotvrzenými faunistickými daty. Pět druhů, Brachyptera monilicornis (Pictet, 1841), Capnopsis schilleri (Rostock, 1892), Rhabdiopteryx acuminata Klapálek, 1905, Nemoura sciurus Aubert, 1949 a Nemoura cf. babiagorensis Sowa, 1964, je uváděno ze studované oblasti poprvé. Tři druhy jsou v České republice vyhynulé (poslení nálezy starší než 30 let), dalších 5 druhů je nezvěstných neho vyhynulých, 2 jsou kriticky ohrožené, 6 ohrožených, 6 zranitelných a 8 druhů patří do kategorie téměř ohrožených druhů. U dalších 6 druhů neexistují spolehlivá data o jejich výskytu, zbývajících 36 druhů nevyžaduje zvláštní ošetření.
