The Gallery of Fine Arts in Ostrava (GVUO) launches four exhibition projects at once. After the exhibition Vlastislav Hofman / Tribute to Invention, he focuses on a wide range of styles, techniques and authors. Everyone will come to theirs. At a joint opening on Thursday, January 25, at 5 pm, the gallery will open exhibitions to introduce the Baroque painting and graphics, the Republican, abstract and contemporary art to the public. The exhibitions will be on display in the Art House of Ostrava until Sunday, March 25th. Galerie výtvarného umění v Ostravě (GVUO) zahajuje hned čtyři výstavní projekty najednou. Po výstavě Vlastislav Hofman / Pocta invenci se zaměřuje na pestrou škálu stylů, technik i autorů. Na své si přijdou všichni. Na společné vernisáži ve čtvrtek 25. ledna v 17 hodin galerie zpřístupní výstavy, které veřejnosti představí barokní malbu a grafiku, prvorepublikové, abstraktní i současné výtvarné umění. Výstavy budou v ostravském Domě umění k vidění do neděle 25. března.

Emanuel Křenek, actor from Opava, art collector, photographer, illustrator and pedagogue. A personality connected with the Ostrava region and especially its culture. The pride of the charismatic actor dedicated his art to his whole life comes from his friends and associate actors Jan Fišar and Veronika Forejtová, violoncellist Jiří Hanousek and artist Svatoslav Böhm. A commemorative evening on the occasion of the Křenkova Gift Exhibition at the Gallery of Fine Arts in Ostrava will take place on Thursday, May 31, at 5 pm in the Art House in Ostrava. Emanuel Křenek, opavský herec, sběratel umění, fotograf, ilustrátor a pedagog. Osobnost spjatá s ostravským regionem a především jeho kulturou. Poctu charismatickému herci, který celý svůj život zasvětil umění, přijdou složit jeho přátelé i kolegové herci Jan Fišar a Veronika Forejtová, violoncellista Jiří Hanousek i výtvarník Svatoslav Böhm. Vzpomínkový večer u příležitosti výstavy Křenkova daru Galerii výtvarného umění v Ostravě se uskuteční ve čtvrtek 31. května v 17 hodin v ostravském Domě umění.

The exhibition of Vlastislav Hofman (1884-1964) / Tribute to the invention, which the famous stage designer and architect presented as a universally recognized personality with invention, ended in Ostrava. She saw over twelve thousand visitors. Part of the exposed exhibits will return to Austria and Canada this week. The rest of the borrowed works of art will be returned in the coming weeks. Výstava Vlastislava Hofmana (1884–1964) / Pocta invenci, která známého scénografa a architekta prezentovala jako všestranně uznávanou osobnost s invencí, v Ostravě skončila. Vidělo ji přes dvanáct tisíc návštěvníků. Část vystavených exponátů se už v tomto týdnu vrací do Rakouska a Kanady. Zbylá část zapůjčených uměleckých děl bude vrácena v následujících týdnech.

The first Republic is connected with elegance, charm and noble in fashion and design. Was art and architecture in the Ostrava region different from other parts of the republic? Is this the question of Black Country? The myth and reality prepared by Renata Skrebska, curator of the Gallery of Fine Arts in Ostrava (GVUO). The Gallery of the Year will be launched on Tuesday, September 25, at 5 pm. The Ostrava House of Art will be on display until January 6th of next year. První republiku máme spojenou s elegancí, šarmem a noblesou v módě a designu. Bylo výtvarné umění a architektura v ostravském regionu jiné než v ostatních částech republiky? Tuto otázku pokládá výstava Černá země? Mýtus a realita, kterou připravila Renata Skřebská, kurátorka Galerie výtvarného umění v Ostravě (GVUO). Galerijní výstava roku bude zahájena v úterý 25. září v 17 hodin. V ostravském Domě umění bude k vidění až do 6. ledna příštího roku.

Parisian Odile Decq (1955) searches tirelessly and relentlessly for a simple yet creative solution to architectural projects that blend in design, art and urbanism. The original handwriting gave her a number of international awards, such as the Golden Lion, as part of the Venetian Biennale of Architecture. The Odile DECQ / Horizons Studio can be visited at the Art House in Ostrava until June 3. Pařížanka Odile Decq (1955) neúnavně a neúprosně hledá prostá a přitom tvůrčí řešení architektonických projektů, které prolíná design, umění i urbanismus. Originální rukopis jí vynesl řadu mezinárodních ocenění, například Zlatého lva v rámci benátského bienále architektury. Výstavu s názvem Studio Odile DECQ / Horizons můžete navštívit v ostravském Domě umění až do 3. června.
