The Thesis The organ in instrumental chamber cast in the Czech production Disertační práce ?Varhany v instrumentálních komorních obsazeních v české tvorbě po roce 1945? se zabývá příslušnou konkrétní hudební tvorbou spadající do této oblasti. Obsahuje nejen přehled naprosté většiny kompozic tohoto charakteru, ale zvláště podrobnější komentáře a analýzy jednotlivých děl se zřetelem na interpretační praxi. Základní rozvržení vychází z kapitol, z nichž každá se věnuje jiné nástrojové kombinaci. Rozvíjí se v nich otázky výhodnosti i nevýhodnosti různých nástrojových spojení. Názvy kapitol jsou: Nástin vývoje komorní hry s varhanami, Varhany a žestě, Varhany a bicí nástroje, Varhany a dřevěné dechové nástroje, Varhany a smyčcové nástroje, Varhany a recitace, Varhany a klávesové nástroje, Varhany a harfa, Varhany a syntetizér. Poslední kapitola je věnována pouze přehledu kompozic, jejichž notové materiály nebyly dohledány nebo ověřeny. Práce vychází z důkladného prozkoumání uvedených notových materiálů a osobní korespondence s autory. Cílem je uvést danou problematiku ve větší povědomí a prospět tím i k častějšímu provádění kompozic, které nejsou příliš známé.

In my dissertation, I? concentrate on the relationship between people and space. I? consider this relationship to be the basis of an authentic relation to a present situation, and also the condition to experience it fully in everyday life and most of all during a public performance.My dissertation is in two parts. In the first one, I? show the significance of this relationship across various fields, and introduce the genesis of my personal relationship with space. I? stress the importance of the conscious interaction with space and also the desirability to build one's? own inner space, which is necessary to reach the condition for spaciousness. I? consider this to be an essential part of psychosomatic condition as well as of the condition for public performance, which I? prove - among others - on the necessity of space for the work with breathing and voice. ? své disertační práci se? zaměřuji na? vztah člověka s prostorem, který považuji za? základ autentického vztahování se? k přítomné situaci a za? podmínku jejího naplněného prožívání v každodenním životě a zejména při veřejném vystupování.Práci rozděluji na? dvě části. V? první ukazuji podstatnost této relace napříč různými obory a seznamuji s genezí svého osobního vztahu s prostorem. Zdůrazňuji důležitost uvědomované interakce s prostorem a vyzdvihuji žádoucnost budování vlastní vnitřní prostornosti, která je podmínkou pro dosažení kondice k prostorovosti. Tu považujiza? nezbytnou součást psychosomatické kondice i kondice k veřejnému vystupování, což dokazuji mimo jiné na? nutnosti reflexe prostoru pro práci s dechem a hlasem.

The doctoral thesis ?Eating Disorders in Dance Environment?treats of specific factors that act in dance environment and increase the risk of eating disorders among dancers. Information for this thesis was obtained not only from specialized references but even form a survey made among dancers and teachers. The target of this thesis is to describe the risk factors in dance environment and to suggest an optimization of the current situation. The outcomes of this thesis are two texts dedicated to dance teachers. Teachers were found to be the factor, which increases the risk of eating disorders among dancers the most of all other factors. The first text describes how to recognize an eating disorder at student and how to act in this situation. The second text shows to teachers, what they can do to reduce the risk of developing even more cases of eating disorders among dancers. Předkládaná práce zpracovává problematiku psychosomatického onemocnění poruchy příjmu potravy v tanečním prostředí. Zaměřuje se na specifické faktory, které působí v tanečním prostředí a zvyšují riziko vzniku a častost výskytu onemocnění. Práce se kromě studia odborné literatury (teoretická část) opírá také o výzkum, který byl v rámci práce proveden. Cílem práce je popsat rizikové faktory a navrhnout možnosti optimalizace stávající. Výsledkem práce jsou proto dva texty určené pedagogům- skupině, která byla v práci označena jako samostatný rizikový faktor, který ale navíc zesiluje působení ostatních faktorů. První manuál pro pedagogy popisuje jak rozpoznat a jak reagovat při podezření na poruchu příjmu potravy u studenta. Druhý text shrnuje konkrétní preventivní opatření proti vzniku dalších případů poruchy příjmu potravy u tanečníků.

From Operetta to Musical

Dissertation thesis describes the evolution of popular musical theatre ? especially operetta and musical ? in Czechoslovakia after 1945. It analyses particular productions, follows important development periods of this kind of theatre as well as changes of attitude of communistic regime to its existence and artistic expressions ? not only in the overall context of changes in the theatre system or social and political situation in the country but also in the context of development abroad. Study mainly deals with events in major popular musical theatres (especially in the Karlín Musical Theatre in Prague) but it doesn´t neglect major productions of small or regional scenes. Dissertation proceeds both from existing literature and authentic historical sources, evidence and memories. Disertační práce popisuje vývoj zábavněhudebního divadla ? operety a muzikálu především ? v Československu po roce 1945. Analyzuje konkrétní inscenace, sleduje významná vývojová období tohoto druhu divadla a také proměny přístupu totalitního režimu k jeho existenci a uměleckému vyjadřování, a to nejen v celkovém kontextu změn divadelního systému či společenské a politické situace u nás, ale i v kontextu vývoje v zahraničí. Ačkoliv se zabývá především děním ve velkých zábavněhudebních divadlech (zejména v pražském karlínském divadle), neopomíjí ani malé či regionální scény a jejich zásadní inscenace. Disertační práce vychází jak z existující literatury, tak především z autentických dobových pramenů, svědectví a vzpomínek.

Největší pozornost věnuji kritické a umělecké práci a osobnímu naturelu Andreje Stankoviče v konotacích na jeho rodinné a kulturní zázemí a na specifický kriticismus Stankovičova "domovského" časopisu Tvář. Tématem je Stankovičova kritická práce vcelku s důrazem na etické a společensko-kritické vazby.

This doctor's thesis called Representatives of New music in Prague at the turn of the fifties and sixties of the 20th century focuses on selected Czech composers, instrumentalists as well as chamber ensembles that composed and performed contemporary music and promoted Czech and foreign compositions of the period avant-garde, or so called New music. The publication is dedicated mainly to three composers: Marek Kopelent, Zbyněk Vostřák and Jan Klusák. The book is divided into 8 chapters. New music and its innovations after World War II, Social situation and musical milieu in Czechoslovakia in the 50th, The Beginning of New music in Prague and in selected specialized ensembles, Media reflections in Czech journals and newspapers, three analyses of Czech compositions from the sixties ? orchestral work Contemplations by Marek Kopelent, String quartet no. 2 by Jan Klusák and Affects by Zbyněk Vostřák and final chapter is called The Legacy of sixtieth. There are also two more appendixes ? the interviews with Jan Klusák and Marek Kopelent ? major living representatives of Czech musical avant-garde. Práce pojednává o vybraných českých skladatelích, instrumentalistech a komorních souborech, kteří se podíleli na tvorbě i propagování českých i zahraničních kompozic, jejichž tvůrci se hlásili k dobové avantgardě, resp. stylu tzv. Nové hudby. Doktorandská práce věnuje největší pozornost třem představitelům: Marku Kopelentovi, Zbyňku Vostřákovi a Janu Klusákovi. Práce je rozdělena do osmi kapitol - Nová hudba a její inovace po 2. světové válce, Společenská situace a hudební prostředí v Československu v padesátých letech, Počátky Nové hudby v Praze a vybrané specializované soubory, Dobové mediální reflexe Nové hudby v českých periodikách, třech kapitol věnovaných analýzám skladeb Marka Kopelenta ? Kontemplace, Jana Klusáka ? II. Smyčcový kvaret a Zbyňka Vostřáka (Afekty) a závěru nazvaného Odkaz 60. let, který se snaží zobecnit skladatelský a interpretační přínos té doby a snahy o návázání na aktivity spojené s avantgardním hnutím 60. let. Dotýká se i současného hudebního dění spojeného s provozováním soudobé hudby, včetně děl vzniklých v období 60. let. Práce obsahuje také dvě důležité přílohy, které byly podstatným zdrojem informací o 50. a 60. letech. Jedná se o rozhovory s žijícími představiteli hudební avantgardy Markem Kopelentem a Janem Klusákem.

PhD thesis project "City and (its) Theatre" is an attempt to map the relation between the development of Hradec Králové and the development of theatre activities on its territory. In the Czech Republic (in terms of the theatrical activities) Hradec Králové is widely known for the modern tradition of international theatre festivals. These festivals take the form of celebrations, a kind of City Dionysia drawing greater or lesser attention of artists, critics, but first of all huge attention of local society. Citizens of Hradec Králové constitute the main part of audiences (up to 70 000 in ten days) of the festival ? unlike other similar events in the Czech Republic ? which can be considered an extraordinary phenomenon. The project aims to identify town-development aspect of the theatre, especially in terms of its position in the public domain. Therefore also reminds conceptual search for the space for the new theatre building, covering a range of such sites in terms of representational, architectural, social and demographic aspects This thesis offers a mosaic of information about the development of this festival based on historical documents, especially printed news and press releases. It monitors fulfilment of the vision of the great theatre celebration deals with its qualitative and quantitative changes not only of the main program but also of the Open Air Programme. It also deals with doubted adjective "Czech Avignon", which is associated with the festival in Hradec Králové and attempts to classify and specify it in terms of content and character of the event Some management issues of the festival are dealt with in separate chapters, and the thesis is accompanied with complete list of productions of the main program and the Open Air Programme in the period 1995-2009. Projekt doktorské práce ?Město a (jeho) divadlo? je pokusem zmapovat souvislosti mezi rozvojem města Hradce Králové a rozvojem divadla a divadelních činností na jeho území. V České republice je Hradec Králové v současné době - z hlediska vnímání divadelních aktivit - známý především novodobou tradicí mezinárodních divadelních festivalů, které mají podobu svátků, jakýchsi městských dionýsií, poutajících na sebe větší či menší pozornost divadelníků, umělců i kritiků, ale především místní společnosti. Ta právě tvoří, na rozdíl od jiných podobných akcí v České republice, zásadní objem návštěvníků tohoto festivalu (až 70 000 v deseti dnech), což lze považovat za mimořádný fenomén. Projekt si klade za cíl pojmenovat městotvorný aspekt divadla, a to především z hlediska jeho postavení ve veřejném prostoru ? proto také připomíná koncepční hledání místa pro divadelní budovu, zahrnující řadu námětů takových míst z hlediska reprezentačního, architektonického, sociálního i demografického. I důvody, proč se bez ohledu na růst města s cca pěti tisíci obyvateli v době postavení měšťanského divadla (1885) obloukem po roce 1990 vrátilo řadou rekonstrukcí k původnímu objektu, tedy v době, kdy je metropolí téměř stotisícovou. Práce na základě rešerše dobových pramenů, především novinových a tiskových zpráv, nabízí mozaiku informací o vývoji tohoto festivalu. Zabývá se jeho kvalitativními a kvantitativními proměnami, vedle hlavního programu i zrodem a vývojem tzv. Open Air Programu, představuje povahu názorů kritiků i laické ohlasy. Zabývá se také mnohokrát zpochybňovaným užíváním přívlastku ?Český Avignon?, který je spojován s královéhradeckým festivalem a pokouší se ho zařadit a specifikovat z hlediska obsahu i charakteru akce. V samostatných kapitolách jsou zpracovány některé manažerské otázky festivalu a práci doplňují soupisy inscenací uvedených v hlavním programu i v Open Air Programu v letech 1995-2009.

Authorial Acting and its changes during the therapy of addicts

In my dissertation, I try to reflect my own experiences with application of authorial approach to acting in therapeutic community for drug addicts. I work as a therapist for twelve years in therapeutic community Magdaléna. I guarantee nonverbal technique program and I lead a theatre project once a year periodically.My dissertation is divided to two main parts. First I focus on questions about authorial acting and its pedagogics. I try to explain specifics that are brought by authorial approach to acting. I also describe acting with the inner partner and drama propaedeutic based on free playing and collective improvisation. These dramatic experiments help participants during their own building of psychosomatic condition, which is core of studies on Authorial acting and pedagogics department, DAMU in Prague.Second part of my dissertation is dedicated to my own work with drug addicts. I try to describe problems of therapy in community, especially the questions connected with dramatic expression of the clients. As I told before, I lead nonverbal technique program in Magdaléna community and I created my own conception of such program and it is described enough in my dissertation. I also try to explain drama projects preparations in community and show such cooperation in eleven specific performances we did with different clients during the time.Finally, I reflect relationship between authorial acting and psychotherapy. I perceive the ability to act creatively in direct contact with the others as the most important thing in both cases. That is why I demur at the question of a self-experience in therapy and psychosomatic condition in authorial acting and their mutual relationship. Ve své disertační práci se snaţím reflektovat vlastní zkušenosti s aplikací autorského přístupu k herectví v terapeutické komunitě pro drogově závislé. V tomto zařízení působím jiţ dvanáct let jako terapeut, garantuji program neverbální techniky a pravidelně 1x ročně vedu divadelní projekt.Disertační práce je rozdělena do dvou hlavních částí. Nejprve se zabývám otázkami autorského herectví a jeho pedagogikou. Pokouším se přiblíţit specifika, která v sobě nese autorský přístup k herectví. Dále popisuji dialogické jednání a hereckou propedeutiku na základě volné hry a kolektivní improvizace. Tyto dramatické experimenty pomáhají aktérům při vlastní stavbě psychosomatické kondice, jeţ je jádrem studia na Katedře autorské tvorby a pedagogiky DAMU.Druhou část práce věnuji svému působení v oblasti léčení klientů s drogovou závislostí. Snaţím se přiblíţit problematiku léčby v komunitě, zvláště se zaměřuji na otázky spojené s dramatickým projevem klientů. V komunitě Magdaléna vedu program ?neverbální techniky?, vytvořila jsem vlastní koncepci tohoto programu a v disertační práci ji podrobně popisuji. Dále se pokouším přiblíţit přípravu divadelních projektů v komunitě a jedenáct konkrétních inscenací.Nakonec uvaţuji nad vztahem mezi autorským herectvím a psychoterapií. V obou případech vnímám jako nejdůleţitější schopnost tvořivě jednat v přímém kontaktu s druhými. Pozastavuji se nad otázkou sebe-zkušenosti v terapii a psychosomatické kondice v autorském herectví a jejich vzájemným vztahem.

Beethoven´s Violin Concerto and its Interpretation

This thesis focuses on the Violin Concerto composed by L. v Beethoven, its interpretation and the changes in attitude towards the composition within the two centuries of its existence. The paper is divided in four chapters. First of all it provides information based on primary sources about the development and changes in the violin technique and interpretation. After that an insight into the fate of the concerto after its premiere occurs, followed by an account of its performers. The following chapters compare first the different editions of the concerto and later on its numerous recordings. A live recording of the concerto performed by the author accompanied by Musica Florea with the conducter Marek Štryncl makes part the thesis. Práce se zabývá houslovým koncertem Ludwiga van Beethovena, jeho interpretací a proměnami přístupu ke skladbě v průběhu dvou set let hudebního vývoje. Je rozdělena do čtyř kapitol a zpracovává nejprve informace o vývoji houslové techniky a interpretace přelomu 18. a 19. století, přičemž se opírá o dobové prameny. Poté zkoumá osud koncertu po jeho prvním provedení a zmiňuje reakce kritiky a jeho první interprety. Další kapitoly obsahují srovnání edic notového materiálu z různých období a krajin vzniku a posléze nahrávek koncertu od nejstarších po nedávno vzniklé. Součástí práce je i live nahrávka koncertu autorkou a orchestrem Musica Florea pod vedením Marka Štryncla.
