Project of Firm´s Performance Rising by Use of Tools of Strategic Management

This thesis is focused on the performance improvement project of the company Skoda Transportation a.s. It is well known producer of rail vehicles and one of the biggest czech exporters. The company, its brief history and portfolio of offered products are introduced in the first part of this thesis. Furthermore, financial situation of the company with the use of the basic and value indicators measurig business performance is evaluated. Next chapter deals with the definition of the strategic plan including the formulation of mission statement, vision and strategic objectives for a period 2015-2017. Moreover, detailed financial plan for this period is performed. Next chapter occupies with the analysis of external and internal environment. After risk analysis, which has impact on strategic plan, pessimistic scenario is constructed and after that the analysis of this improvement is performed. Expected scenario of the plan is considered optimistic with respecting character of customized production. In the next part, performance improvement is reflected into value of equity. It is determined between optimistic and pessimistic scenario. The last chapter closes thesis with evaluation of the analysis and with proposed recommendation for the implementation of strategic plan to the company. Cílem předložené diplomové práce je zpracovat projekt zvýšení výkonnosti firmy prostředky strategického řízení ve společnosti Škoda Transportation a.s. Jedná se o celosvětově proslulého výrobce kolejových vozidel a jednoho z největších českých exportérů. V první části práce je představen podnik, jeho stručná historie a portfolio produktů. Dále je zhodnocena finanční situace společnosti za využití základních a hodnotových ukazatelů měření výkonnosti podniku. Poté je vymezen strategický záměr v podobě poslání, vize a strategických cílů pro období 2015-2017. Součástí následující kapitoly je analýza vnějšího a vnitřního prostředí. Dále je zpracován podrobný finanční plán. Po analýze rizikových faktorů, které mají vliv na strategický záměr, je sestaven pesimistický scénář a provedena analýza jeho výkonnosti. S ohledem na charakter zakázkové výroby je očekávaná varianta plánu považována za již optimistickou variantu. Zvyšování výkonnosti se v předposlední kapitole promítá do zvýšení hodnoty vlastního kapitálu, která vychází v rozmezí optimistické a pesimistické varianty. Poslední kapitola uzavírá tuto diplomovou práci zhodnocením provedených analýz a podáním návrhů pro implementaci daného záměru do společnosti.

Proposal and assessment of production efficiency of fast prototypes of plastics

This thesis is focused on design and assessment of the production of rapid prototypes of plastics for automotive. The goal is to choose a suitable production technology of 3D printing to meet production requirements and features an initial prototype model formfiller. The thesis also includes the results determining the properties of the produced models that were obtained by different tests.The results have contributed to the selection of appropriate technology for producing rapid prototypes of plastics for the automotive industry. Diplomová práce je zaměřena na návrh a posouzení výroby rychlých prototypů z plastů pro automotiv. Cílem práce je vybrat vhodnou výrobní technologii 3D tisku tak, aby byly splněny výrobní vlastnosti a požadavky na prvotní prototypový model dle daných kritérií. Diplomová práce dále obsahuje výsledky určující vlastnosti vyrobených modelů, které byly získány jednotlivými zkouškami.
Získané výsledky přispěly k výběru vhodné technologie pro výrobu rychlých prototypů z plastů pro automotiv.

This thesis deals with an analysis and following optimization of business processes based on using of theoretical background of The Value-Stream-Mapping method. As
a whole is this thesis divided into six chapters, therefore we want to apprise the reader at first with issues of process management, lean attitudes in process improvement and emphasize the fact about a close connection of those two aspects with a strategic management. In a context of those obtained information we have used the Value-Stream-Mapping to description and analysis of chosen a value chain with regards on reveal of all current systems malfunctions. Thereafter, we tried to identify the original causes of detected malfunctions and then we attempted to propose appropriate improvements to all identified causes with regards on technical and economic aspects of a chosen company. At the end of this thesis we proposed a time framed action plan of improvement implementation. Tato diplomová práce pojednává o analýze a následné optimalizaci podnikových procesů na základě užití teoretického aparátu metody Value-Stream-Mapping. Jako celek se práce skládá ze šesti kapitol, kdy čtenáře nejdříve zasvětíme do problematiky procesního řízení, štíhlých přístupů ke zlepšování a o úzkém propojení obou těchto aspektů se strategickým řízením, abychom následně nabyté informace využili v kontextu metody Value-Stream-Mapping k popisu a následné analýze hodnotového toku vybrané společnosti s cílem odhalit chybové stavy současného systému. Na základě metody "Pěti proč" jsme následně hledali původní příčiny těchto chyb
a pokoušeli jsme navrhnout odpovídající řešení těchto příčin s přihlédnutím k technickým a ekonomickým aspektům podniku. V samém závěru této práce jsme uvedli návrh akčního plánu pro implementaci identifikovaných zlepšení a zasadili je do časového rámce.

Converter of Contact ID protocol on telephone line to TCP protocol

This thesis describes the design and implementation of a protocol converter Contact ID of electronic security system equipment from the telephone line to the alarm response center via TCP. This thesis describes the transmission protocols used in the described converter, design and implementation of a prototype, the microcontroller firmware, application to receive messages from the converter and the real application. Práce se zabývá návrhem a realizací převodníku protokolu Contact ID, který umožňuje přenášet zprávy ze zařízení elektronického zabezpečovacího systému z telefonní linky na pult centrální ochrany prostřednictvím protokolu TCP. Práce obsahuje popis přenosových protokolů používaných v popisovaném převodníku, návrh a realizaci prototypu, funkci programového vybavení mikrokontroléru, tvorbu aplikace pro příjem zprávy z převodníku a reálného zapojení.

Contingency Analysis for Secure Operation of Transmission Power Systems

This thesis deals with the contingency analysis for security evaluation of transmission power systems. Both the Newton-Raphson and Fast-Decoupled power flow methods along with sensitivity factors are comprehensively described. These two methods are mutually compared in terms of solution accuracy and computation time. Main part of this thesis concentrates on the power flow analysis and both acceleration and numerical stabilization techniques of power flow methods. Using the author-developed software, three case studies of transmission power systems were performed in detail to locate their weakest points during sets of contingencies. Suitable remedial actions to satisfy N-1 criterion were designed for eliminating these critical scenarios. Práce se zabývá kontingenční analýzou jako nástrojem pro vyhodnocení bezpečnosti provozu přenosových soustav. Popisuje způsoby provádění kontingenční analýzy opakovaným výpočtem chodu soustavy Newton-Raphsonovou a Fast-Decoupled metodou a dále pomocí citlivostních faktorů. Tyto dva principy jsou porovnány z hlediska přesnosti obdržených výstupů a rychlosti výpočtu. Podstatná část práce je věnována samotnému výpočtu chodu soustavy, akceleraci a stabilizaci numerických metod. Dále jsem pomocí softwaru vytvořeného v rámci této diplomové práce provedl případové studie tří elektrizačních soustav, u kterých jsem vyhodnotil nejslabší místa z hlediska kritéria N-1 a navrhl vhodná nápravná opatření vedoucí k jejich redukci.

The engineering design of supercharger holder for passenger vehicle

Diploma thesis deals with the mechanical design of turbocharger holder for MBtech Bohemia company. The selection of suitable variant is implemented using EDS system. Thermal and modal analysis is made on the holder optimal design together with complete turbocharger. The production drawing of chosen variant of holder is enclosed. Diplomová práce se zabývá konstrukčním návrhem držáku turbodmycha-dla od firmy MBtech Bohemia s.r.o. Výběr vhodné varianty konstrukce držáku je realizován pomocí systému EDS. Optimální konstrukce držáku je společně s celou sestavou turbodmychadla podrobena teplotní a modál-ní analýze. Dále je přiložen výrobní výkres navržené varianty držáku.

This document traces its evolution and strengthening mechanisms needed to obtain an appropriate feature. It describes methods for obtaining weld quality. It investigates a structure and a microstructure of these materials. Tato práce se zabývá problematikou materiálů pro ultra super kritické parametry páry, předně oceli programu COST F a COST FB2. Mapuje jejich vývoj a potřebné mechanismy zpevnění pro dosažení odpovídajících vlastností. Popisuje metody získání svarů odpovídající požadované kvalitě. Zkoumá strukturu a mikrostrukturu těchto materiálů.

Efficiency evaluation of selected investment project

This thesis deals with efficiency evaluation of chosen investment project implemented in a public sector. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part introduces the theoretical background concerning investment decision making and investment projects. Then cash flow from the project and methods used for the efficiency evaluation of the project are described, the Cost benefit analysis is specified. In the second part this thesis is focused on the characteristic of chosen public project. Then the beneficiaries and financial sources of the investment project are determined. Next the investment costs and supposed operating revenues and costs are specified. Afterwards the evaluation of the project by criteria indicators and identification of socio-economic effects are performed. The conclusion contains possible risks of the project and analysis of sensibility. Tato práce pojednává o hodnocení efektivnosti vybraného investičního projektu realizovaného ve veřejném sektoru. Práce je rozčleněna na dvě části. První část poskytuje teoretické poznatky týkající se investičního rozhodování a investičních projektů. Dále jsou vymezeny peněžní toky plynoucí z projektu a metody hodnocení efektivnosti projektu, specifikována je také metoda Analýzy nákladů a přínosů. Druhá část práce je věnována charakteristice vybraného veřejného projektu. Následuje určení beneficientů a vymezení financování investičního projektu. Dále jsou specifikovány investiční náklady, předpokládané provozní příjmy a náklady. Poté je provedeno hodnocení projektu pomocí kriteriálních ukazatelů a identifikace socioekonomických efektů projektu. V závěru práce jsou analyzována možná rizika projektu a je vypracována citlivostní analýza.
