Estimates of number of model components

The contribution deals with criteria for assessing the number of model components, namely BIC and Bayes factor. Further, the use of the Reversible jump Metropolis-Hastings algorithm is recalled. Finally, we study methods of effective search (also with the aid of simulated annealing) for the maximum of aposteriory distribution, jointly for parameters and model order. Příspěvek se zabývá kriterii BIC a Bayes v faktor, dále pak použitím "Reversible jump" algoritmu Metropolise Hastingse, a nakonec uplatněním zjednodušeného prohledávání a hledání (s pomocí simulovaného žíhání) maxima aposteriorního rozložení, zároveň pro parametry modelu a počet jeho komponent.

Následující článek pojednává o tvorbě simulačního modelu soustavy vzduchotechnik a okolního prostředí připravovaného tunelu Špejchar - Pelc-Tyrolka. V rámci provedených prací byl navržen komplexní systém simulace vzduchotechniky orientovaný na návrh systému řízení technologie tunelu. Tento návrh také umožní specifikování strutury regulace a optimalizaci provozních parametrů chování vzduchotechniky. Součástí navrhovaného řešení je také systém dynamické simulace dopravy, který také umožňuje studium.

The use of the concept of Hilbert base to verify a hypothesis about coincidence of structural and combinatorial imsets

The topic of the contribution is computer experiments whose aim is to confirm or refuse a hypothesis about coincidence of two special classes of integral vectors, called structural and combinatorial imsets. This question is closely related to the task of finding so-called minimal integral Hilbert basis of a certain rational convex cone. Tématem příspěvku jsou počítačové experimenty, jejichž cílem je potvrdit či vyvrátit hypotézu o shodnosti dvou jistých tříd celočíselných vektorů, nazývaných strukturální a kombinatorické imsety. Tato otázka souvisí úzce s úlohou nalezení tzv. minimální celočíselné Hilbertovy báze jistého racionálního konvexního kužele.

Článek ilustruje jednu iteraci procesu matlabského návrhu robustního regulátoru pro VLT teleskop (Very Large Telescope) provozovaný výzkumnou organizací ESO (European Southern Observatory) na observatoři v pohoří Paranal v Chile. Cílem návrhu je získat regulátor tlumící vliv větru a zároveň respektující přítomnost málo tlumených rezonančních módů v konstrukci teleskopu. Pro návrh byla vybrána metodika spoléhající na minimalizaci H nekonecno normy smíšené citlivostní funkce a použity funkce Polynom.Toolboxu.

Models of 2D point processes applied to analysis of random sums

The contribution deals with the compound (cumulative) random process, i.e. the sequence of random increments at random moments. The process is modeled as a 2D point process (or 2D random counting measure), via the intensities of both components. The study starts from the case of compound Poisson process and generalizes to the cases when the components depend on each other, and also on a set of covariates. An example deals with the sequence of financial transactions. Práce se zabývá modely pro složené bodové procesy, t.j. procesy s náhodnými přírůstky. Je navržen model charakterizující obě složky modelu pomocí intenzit, která vzájemně závisí, takže je celý proces popsán jako zvláštní typ 2D bodového procesu. Dále se zobecňují výsledky známé o složeném Poissonovu procesu a jeho predikci, resp. o pravděpodobnosti překročení zvolené přímky. Uvažují se i vlivy kovariát prostřednictvím regresního modelu. Příklad analyzuje posloupnost bankovních transakcí.

Statistical survival analysis and random point processes

The paper is devoted to statistical survival analysis, discusses different probabilistic models including the Cox model of regression for the intensity of time to failure. Then, the concept of counting processes in recalled and their models (including Cox regression) is used for characterization of random point processes of repeated events (e.g. failures and repairs). Práce se zabývá analýzou přežití (survival analysis), užívanými typy rozdělení pravděpodobnosti, výběrem charakteristik pro analýzu, modely intenzit a rozdělení doby čekání na nějakou událost - poruchu. Uvádí regresní modely pro intenzitu, Coxův model a odhady jeho charakteristik. Uvádí také typy, metody analýzy a aplikace modelů pro posloupnost náhodných událostí, náhodný bodový proces, a to především s aplikací v statistické analýze spolehlivosti.
