Methodology for the assessment of the ecological potential of heavily modified and artificial water bodies was developed, including water body typology. The selection of indicator metrics was based on statistical analyses of the sensitivity of each of the indicators towards the most significant stressor – eutrophication. According to these results, biological communities and their indicators were selected to comply with the requirements set forth in the Water Framework Directive (2000/60/EC). Byla vytvořena metodika hodnocení ekologického potenciálu silně ovlivněných a umělých vodních útvarů, včetně typologie vodních útvarů. Výběr indikátorových metrik spočíval ve statistických analýzách citlivosti jednotlivých indikátorů k nejvýznamnějšímu stresoru – eutrofizaci. Na základě těchto analýz byla vybrána společenstva a jejich indikátory tak, aby splňovaly požadavky Rámcové směrnice vodní politiky (2000/60/ES).

Invertebrate fauna in Zbrašov aragonite caves

This contribution summarized the research of invertebrate fauna in ZAC. They have been implemented since the nineties of the 20th century. The most intensive study has started since 2001, when the Cave Administration of the Czech Republic in cooperation with existing workplaces of Biology Centre AS CR in České Budějovice and the Palacký University in Olomouc systematically explored the entire cave. The result was the detection of 49 kinds of invertebrates. The observed fauna consists of troglofilous species whose population evidently lives permanently here, and also number of representatives who occasionally penetrate the caves from the outside or have found the better conditions in the cooler parts of the year here. The contribution commented on some more important species. Příspěvek sumarizuje výsledky výzkumu fauny bezobratlých ve Zbrašovských aragonitových jeskyních. Celkem byl doložen výskyt 49 druhů bezobratlých. Přítomná fauna zahrnuje troglofilní druhy obývající trvale jeskynní prostředí a rovněž zástupce, kteří nahodile pronikají do jeskyní, kde nalézají příznivější podmínky v chladnějším ročním období. Významné druhy jsou komentovány podrobněji.
