2017 - Czech The past three months have seen the financial crisis subsiding only slowly, as well as corrections to the prices of oil and some agricultural commodities. In Spotlight we take a look at the importance of house prices for monetary policy and their practical treatment in some central banks. Our selected speech is RBNZ Governor Alan Bollard’s address on flexibility and the limits of inflation targeting. I uplynulé tři měsíce byly poznamenány jen pomalu odeznívající finanční krizí, přičemž došlo ke korekcím u cen ropy a některých zemědělských komodit. 2017 - Czech The May issue of Global Economic Outlook presents the regular monthly overview of recent and expected developments in selected territories, focusing on key economic variables: inflation, GDP growth, leading indicators, interest rates, exchange rates and commodity prices. In this issue, we focus on the question of whether the oil market is approaching equilibrium. We consider in more detail, among other things, the behaviour of OPEC and US shale oil producers observed over the last three years. We also attempt to identify the causes of occasional sharp swings in oil prices. Květnové vydání měsíčníku Globální ekonomický výhled přináší pravidelný přehled aktuálního i očekávaného vývoje ve vybraných teritoriích se zaměřením na hlavní ekonomické veličiny: inflaci, růst HDP, předstihové ukazatele, úrokové sazby, měnové kurzy a ceny komodit. V tomto čísle zaměřujeme svoji pozornost na zodpovězení otázky, zda se trh s ropou blíží ke své rovnováze. Zde se blíže věnujeme, mimo jiného, chování kartelu OPEC nebo producentů břidlicové ropy v USA, pozorovanému v posledních třech letech. Dále se pokoušíme odpověděti na to, jaké jsou příčiny občasných prudkých výkyvů cen ropy. The particle model for the Higgs’ condensate and the anomalous geometrical diffraction

2017 - English In this paper we propose a particle model for the Higgs’ condensate: we propose that this condensate is the set of (infinite velocity) non-local tachyons. We show that then there exists the anomalous geometrical diffraction (which contradicts to quantum mechanics). We show that there exists a universal time constant which defines the limits of the validity of quantum mechanics. We propose an experiment testing the existence of the anomalous geometrical diffraction. We proposed the dark energy conjecture which enables to make an estimate of the time constant. We assume certain (“Feynman”) interaction between standard particle and the nonlocal tachyon. All this is related to the new (finite) form of the Feynman integral. 2017 - Czech This year’s first issue of Global Economic Outlook presents the regular monthly overview of recent and expected developments in selected territories, focusing on key economic variables: inflation, GDP growth, leading indicators, interest rates, exchange rates and commodity prices. Starting with this issue, our regular monitoring will include the United Kingdom, due not least to one of the most keenly awaited events of this year: the actual start of Brexit. In this issue, our analysis focuses on one of the most discussed phenomena of the day –the decline in equilibrium real interest rates in the global economy. We present two theories –one that attributes the phenomenon of low interest rates to structural changes and speaks in favour of a permanent decline in rates, and another arguing that the fall is temporary and based on cyclical swings caused mainly by the financial cycle. První letošní vydání měsíčníku Globální ekonomický výhled přináší pravidelný přehled aktuálního i očekávaného vývoje ve vybraných teritoriích se zaměřením na hlavní ekonomické veličiny: inflaci, růst HDP, předstihové ukazatele, úrokové sazby, měnové kurzy a ceny komodit. Od tohoto čísla nově zařazujeme do našeho pravidelného monitoringu Spojené království, a to nejen vlivem jedné z nejočekávanějších událostí letošního roku, kterou by měla být faktická realizace brexitu. V tomto čísle je naše pozornost analyticky zaostřena najeden z nejdiskutovanějších fenoménů současnosti, a to na pokles rovnovážných reálných úrokových sazeb v globální ekonomice. V článku představujeme jak směr úvah vysvětlujících fenomén nízkých úrokových sazeb strukturálními změnami-hovořící spíše pro trvalost jejich poklesu, tak názorový proud argumentující spíše pro jejich dočasný pokles, jenž se opírá o existenci cyklických výkyvů vznikajících zejména vlivem finančního cyklu.
